Description
Yealink CT200 Room Controller AV-over-IP Device Manager Dubai
One large training room at 9AM. Two smaller rooms after lunch. Displays on both sides, networked audio, AV-over-IP endpoints and different signal paths depending on where the partition sits. That is where a normal meeting-room touch console stops being enough. Somebody has to control what talks to what behind the scenes.
The Yealink CT200 is built for that job. It is a room device controller for AV-over-IP systems, handling signal routing and device control from the infrastructure side of the room. In a DMCC training centre, DIFC boardroom or larger Abu Dhabi conference space, the CT200 can sit away from the meeting table and coordinate Yealink devices as part of the wider AV system. No 10.1-inch screen. No booking calendar. This isn’t the panel your users tap to join a call.

CT200 Is the Controller Behind the Room — Not the Screen on the Table
This distinction matters when specifying a Yealink room. The CTP25 is a user-facing touch console. RoomPanel products handle room scheduling outside the door. The CT200 sits in a different part of the design: it manages devices and routing inside an AV-over-IP installation.
Think about a boardroom with several AV endpoints. A source needs to reach the correct display. Another device has to follow the room state. A divisible space may need one signal path when the partition is open and a different arrangement when it is closed. The CT200 provides the control layer where those behaviours can be configured rather than asking the user to understand the AV topology.
For projects involving the wider Yealink room audio and microphone range, that becomes more useful as the room grows. Ceiling audio, AVoIP endpoints and the room’s video system can be designed as one installation rather than a collection of boxes that happen to share the same rack.
Which Rooms Actually Need a CT200?
Not every Dubai meeting room needs one. A four-person huddle room with one screen and one video bar is normally a much simpler installation. Adding a dedicated AV-over-IP controller there creates hardware without solving a real problem.
| Room Type | Typical AV Requirement | CT200 Fit |
|---|---|---|
| Focus / Huddle Room | Single display, single video endpoint | Usually unnecessary |
| Standard Meeting Room | One or two displays with a straightforward signal path | Project dependent |
| Large Boardroom | Multiple AV devices and controlled routing | Good application |
| Divisible / Training Space | Room states, several endpoints and changing signal paths | Strong application |
Don’t buy it just because the room uses Teams
The CT200 is not required simply because a meeting room runs Microsoft Teams or Zoom. Its value appears when the physical AV design needs device management, signal routing or custom room-control behaviour. For a straightforward small room, start with the Yealink video conferencing range and specify the room around the actual number of displays, cameras, microphones and sharing sources.
Dual Network Interfaces — Useful in Real AV Installations
Yealink lists dual network ports as one of the CT200’s core features. That sounds like a small line on a datasheet until the room has a corporate IT network on one side and a collection of AV devices on the other.
Two network interfaces, one controller
The dual-interface design gives the project engineer more options when planning how the CT200 reaches managed AV devices and the wider network. The exact VLAN, subnet and security architecture still belongs to the customer’s IT policy; we don’t assume every Dubai office wants its meeting-room hardware placed on one flat network.
That matters in DIFC financial offices, government environments and larger corporate floors where AV devices may be treated differently from normal employee endpoints. We confirm the intended network design before installation rather than discovering on commissioning day that the customer’s IT team won’t allow the proposed topology.
Custom Control Logic Without Building Every Interface From Zero
A room controller becomes useful when the room has rules. Press one control and the correct source needs to appear. Change the room state and another group of devices needs to follow. The CT200 supports custom control logic for these kinds of project-specific behaviours.
Auto-generated H5 control interface
Yealink’s CT200 can generate an H5 control interface around the configured room controls. The benefit is practical: the interface can follow the logic designed for that room without requiring an installer to build a separate custom user interface from the beginning for every project.
Consider a Dubai training facility with a movable wall. In combined mode, both sides may need to behave as one space. In divided mode, each side may need its own source and display path. The useful part isn’t a fancy button. It’s having defined room behaviour that staff can repeat every day without phoning the AV engineer who commissioned the system.
The same idea applies to executive boardrooms with several presentation sources or hotel meeting areas where the configuration changes between events. The control logic should match what people actually do in the room. Not what looked neat on a drawing six weeks before handover.
Third-Party Device Control Through Open API
A professional AV room rarely contains equipment from only one product family. Yealink therefore gives the CT200 an Open API for third-party integration. That allows a system designer to include supported external equipment in the room-control plan instead of limiting the controller to Yealink-labelled devices.
The compatibility rule we use
Open API support does not mean every display, lighting processor or building-control device is automatically compatible. We verify the required third-party interface and control method for the actual project before stating that a named device can be controlled.
That small check avoids an expensive assumption. Especially in existing JLT and Business Bay offices, where the CT200 may be joining displays and infrastructure already installed several years earlier.
CT200 Inside Yealink AV ONE
Yealink places the CT200 within its AV ONE architecture alongside AVoIP encoders and decoders. The wider AV ONE system sends audio and video over a standard IP network and is designed for larger meeting spaces where fixed point-to-point cabling becomes awkward as the number of sources and destinations increases.
In that design, the CT200 is the room device manager rather than the encoder or decoder carrying the AV signal itself. Yealink’s EN300 and DE300 handle the AVoIP endpoint roles; CT200 provides the control and management layer around the installation.
AV ONE also sits alongside Yealink’s SkySound audio family. That makes CT200 relevant to projects where networked video and room audio are specified together—large boardrooms, training rooms and divisible spaces rather than a simple webcam-and-TV setup.

Teams, Zoom and Meeting Platforms — What CT200 Actually Does
The CT200 should not be presented as a Microsoft Teams Rooms or Zoom Rooms endpoint. It does not replace the room’s conferencing system, camera or touch console. Its job is device control and AV-over-IP routing underneath the user-facing meeting experience.

A Teams or Zoom room can therefore include CT200 as part of its AV infrastructure when the physical room design needs that level of control. The meeting platform remains on the appropriate certified Yealink conferencing equipment. CT200 works underneath it, dealing with the devices and signal behaviour required by the room design.
For Yealink CT200 UAE projects, we design around the room first: number of displays, sources, audio zones, partitions, existing third-party devices and network policy. Then the controller is specified where it solves an actual control problem. Supply and installation are available in Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah and all 7 UAE emirates.
BYOD and Wireless Sharing — CT200 Doesn’t Replace the Sharing Hardware
A visitor walking into the room with a laptop doesn’t connect to the CT200 to share a presentation. That’s a different part of the system. CT200 controls room devices and AV-over-IP behaviour; BYOD and presentation equipment handles the user’s laptop connection.
If the room needs wireless presentation, USB-C BYOD or a guest laptop to use the installed camera and microphones, we specify that separately from the Yealink wireless presentation and BYOD range. The advantage is that each part has a clear job. Staff get a simple sharing method while the CT200 handles the infrastructure they never need to see.
This becomes important in client-facing offices around DIFC and Business Bay. A guest shouldn’t need to understand which encoder feeds which decoder just to show a PowerPoint file. Their experience stays simple. The engineering sits behind it.
PABX, Etisalat and du — Where CT200 Fits
The CT200 is not a SIP telephone, PABX extension or voice gateway. It does not register directly to an Etisalat or du telephone service, and we wouldn’t sell it as the device that places a normal office phone call.
If a room also needs PSTN or SIP calling, that function belongs to the conferencing endpoint or office communications system used in the finished design. The CT200 can still sit underneath that room as the AV control layer, but the telephone account terminates somewhere else.
Don’t confuse control with communications
A Teams room, Zoom room, SIP system and CT200 can all exist in the same physical room, but they don’t perform the same job. We map the calling platform, AV signal paths and room-control requirements separately during design.
What Comes With the CT200 — And What the Project Still Needs
The CT200 is the room device manager, not a complete AV room kit. The exact installation normally includes network infrastructure and whatever AVoIP, audio and meeting-room endpoints are required by the drawing.
For project ordering, we verify the current regional carton contents against the supplied SKU before dispatch. More important is the system list around it. A CT200 sitting alone in a cabinet doesn’t give you ceiling microphones, speakers, an encoder, a decoder, a meeting camera or a wireless sharing connection.
Not included — specify separately where required
AV-over-IP encoders and decoders, ceiling microphones, ceiling speakers, audio processor, AV network switch, meeting-room camera/system, touch console, wireless presentation hardware, network cabling and any third-party devices being controlled. The exact list depends on the room architecture.
Devices Commonly Specified Around the CT200
The CT200 rarely appears on a quotation by itself. We normally reach it after drawing the room and deciding how many sources, destinations, audio zones and room states have to be managed.
Yealink EN300 AVoIP Encoder — used on the source side of a distributed AV-over-IP design where video needs to be placed onto the room network.
Yealink DE300 AVoIP Decoder — sits at the receiving side of an AVoIP signal path. EN300 and DE300 are the two endpoint products Yealink places alongside CT200 within AV ONE.
Yealink AP08 Audio Processor — relevant when the same room moves into engineered SkySound audio with ceiling microphones, loudspeakers and DSP processing.
Yealink CM20 / CM50 Ceiling Microphones — move voice pickup off the table. Useful in boardrooms, training rooms and Dubai offices where glass partitions and constant HVAC make audio placement part of the room design.
Yealink CS10 / CS10-D Ceiling Speakers — distribute audio through the room rather than relying on a single speaker below one display.
Yealink AVBridge — worth considering in smaller engineered rooms where the design needs Dante audio, AV extension and USB integration but doesn’t require a larger AVoIP control architecture.
Yealink YPS20 Partition Sensor — relevant to divisible-room projects where the AV system needs to know whether the movable wall is open or closed before changing the room state.
Installation — The Room Logic Is Designed Before the Controller Is Mounted
A CT200 installation starts with a signal-flow drawing, not a screwdriver. We need to know where content originates, which displays it may need to reach, which devices are controlled, whether the room divides, what the network team permits and how staff are expected to operate the space.
1
Room survey — Count sources, displays, conferencing endpoints, microphones, speakers, partitions and existing third-party equipment. Network points and rack locations are checked at the same time.
2
Control design — Define the room states, signal-routing behaviour and any third-party control requirements before commissioning begins.
3
Commission and test — Every intended room state is tested with the actual displays, audio path and meeting equipment. A divisible room is checked in both combined and separated configurations before handover.
Installation and configuration are included with supplied project systems. Yealink CT200 UAE projects are supported across Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, Ajman, Ras Al Khaimah, Fujairah and Umm Al Quwain, including multi-room deployments in JLT, DMCC, DIFC and Business Bay.

Where CT200 Makes Sense in UAE Projects
Divisible training rooms are the obvious example. One space is used for a town-hall session in the morning, the partition closes after lunch, and suddenly the displays, cameras and audio need to behave as two separate rooms. Yealink’s wider SkySound architecture specifically includes divisible-room designs with ceiling microphones, speakers, processing and partition sensing.
Executive boardrooms are another case. A DIFC boardroom might have several presentation sources, two displays, ceiling audio and more than one camera position. Users shouldn’t be asked to select network routes manually. The intended state should be predictable.
Hotel meeting areas and education spaces have a different problem: the room layout changes regularly. What worked for a six-person management meeting may need to become a training room the following day. A control system becomes useful because the infrastructure can be configured around known operating states rather than rewired every time the furniture moves.
We also supply the Yealink CT200 in Abu Dhabi for government, corporate AV, education and conference-room projects. Send the room drawing if one exists. Even a marked-up floor plan showing displays, table positions, rack location and movable walls gives us more useful information than simply saying the room seats 20 people.
CT200 Export From Dubai — Africa and MEA Projects
We supply Yealink CT200 project quantities from Dubai to AV installers and system integrators working across Ghana, Tanzania, Ethiopia, South Africa, Nigeria and Kenya. For a Pro-AV project, the controller can be quoted together with EN300/DE300 endpoints, SkySound audio components and the required room infrastructure instead of shipping one isolated unit.
FOB Dubai pricing is available for export quantities. Send the destination, number of rooms and basic system architecture so the parts list can be checked before dispatch.
For multi-room rollouts, quantities can be grouped by room type: boardroom, training room, divisible space or auditorium-style meeting area. That makes staging easier for the system integrator receiving the equipment.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is the Yealink CT200 a touchscreen controller like the CTP25?
No. The CT200 is a Room Device Navigator used behind the scenes for AV-over-IP device management, signal routing and room-control logic. CTP25 is a user-facing meeting-room touch console. They solve different problems.
Do we need a CT200 for a normal 6-person Teams meeting room?
Usually not. A straightforward room with one display and a standard conferencing endpoint normally doesn’t need a dedicated AVoIP controller. CT200 becomes more relevant when the room has several AV devices, changing signal paths, third-party control or divisible-room behaviour.
Can CT200 control third-party displays and AV equipment already installed in our Dubai office?
CT200 supports third-party integration through an Open API, but that doesn’t mean every product is automatically supported. Send us the manufacturer and model numbers of the existing devices. We check the required control interface before confirming integration.
Will CT200 connect directly to our Etisalat, du or 3CX phone system?
No. CT200 isn’t a SIP endpoint or PABX extension. Telephone and conferencing accounts terminate on the appropriate communications or room system. CT200 handles the AV device-control and routing layer around that equipment.
Can you install the CT200 in a divisible room in Dubai or Abu Dhabi?
Yes. Divisible rooms are one of the stronger use cases for this type of controller because the room may need different AV behaviour when the partition is open or closed. We survey the room, map the required states and test each configuration before handover. Installation is available across all 7 UAE emirates.
