Yealink CS10 CS10-D Ceiling Speakers Dubai

Yealink CS10 Dubai

A meeting room can have a 4K camera, ceiling microphones and a polished Teams or Zoom setup — then still sound weak because the speakers were treated as an afterthought. Voices come from one side of the room. People at the far end struggle to hear. In larger Dubai boardrooms, hard floors and glass partitions make that even more obvious.

The Yealink CS10 fixes the speaker side of the room properly. It is a 2-way coaxial network ceiling speaker with a 5.7-inch woofer, 1.1-inch tweeter and 120° nominal coverage. Frequency response is 100 Hz to 20 kHz, with output rated at 99 dB continuous SPL at 20 W / 1 m. The tuning is focused on speech, so remote voices stay clear rather than sounding boomy in a DMCC, DIFC or Business Bay meeting room.

Two versions are available. The standard CS10 is designed for Yealink networked room-audio deployments using PoE+ infrastructure. The CS10-D adds Dante audio transport for Pro-AV rooms built around Dante-compatible DSP and switching. CS10-D is also Zoom Certified.

Both models use PoE+ Class 4 power, so a separate speaker amplifier at the ceiling position isn’t required. The low-profile enclosure is roughly 126 mm deep with a 294 mm grille diameter, which helps when ceiling void space is limited.

Yealink CS10 UAE supply and installation is available across Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah and all 7 emirates. For larger boardrooms, training rooms and divisible spaces, we can also match the speakers with Yealink AVHub, ceiling microphones and the correct network audio infrastructure.

Description

Yealink CS10 CS10-D Ceiling Speakers PoE+ & Dante Audio Dubai

The camera is fine. The ceiling microphones are picking everybody up. Then someone on the far side of a 10-seat table says, “Can you turn the volume up?” That’s where a lot of meeting rooms in Dubai fall apart. Audio from the remote side is still coming from a television speaker or a soundbar fixed to one wall, while the people listening are spread across a much larger room.

The Yealink CS10 and CS10-D move that sound into the ceiling and distribute it across the room instead. Each speaker uses a 5.7-inch woofer with a 1.1-inch tweeter in a 2-way coaxial design, giving a nominal 120° coverage pattern. The result is much more useful in boardrooms with glass partitions, long tables and hard finishes — the sort of rooms we see every week around DIFC, DMCC, JLT and Business Bay. These speakers sit inside Yealink’s wider Room Audio & Microphones range, rather than behaving like a standalone conference phone or desktop speaker.

Where CS10 Ceiling Speakers Make Sense

This isn’t a speaker we’d put into every meeting room automatically. A small 4-person room with a MeetingBar mounted directly below a 55-inch display may already have enough speaker coverage. Adding ceiling audio there can create more cabling and commissioning work without solving a real problem.

The CS10 starts making much more sense once the room stretches out. Think medium boardrooms, larger rectangular rooms, training spaces and divisible meeting rooms where people are no longer sitting close to a front-wall loudspeaker. Ceiling placement lets the sound source sit closer to the listeners instead of trying to push every remote voice from one end of the table to the other.

Dubai office acoustics make this more noticeable. Glass walls reflect mid and high frequencies. Hard tiled floors add another reflective surface. HVAC runs for most of the year, creating a permanent background layer. In that room, turning the television volume higher doesn’t necessarily improve speech intelligibility. Correct speaker position and even coverage matter more.

Room Type CS10 Fit Planning Note
Huddle room Usually unnecessary Use the room system’s built-in speaker unless there is a specific audio-design requirement.
Medium boardroom Good application Ceiling placement can give more even listening levels along a longer table.
Training room Good application Multiple ceiling positions can distribute remote speech across several seating rows.
Divisible room Strong application Speaker zoning should be planned around the partition positions and room modes.

Don’t choose the quantity from seat count alone

CS10 coverage depends on ceiling height, speaker position, room width, table layout and the acoustic behaviour of the room. A 12-seat square room and a 12-seat 9-metre boardroom are two different audio designs. We size the speaker layout from the actual room dimensions rather than selling a fixed “one speaker per X seats” formula.

CS10 or CS10-D — Pick the Network Architecture First

The physical idea is similar across both versions, but the network design is not. This is the part to decide before ordering ceiling hardware or asking the electrical contractor to close the ceiling.

Model Audio Architecture Use It When
CS10 Yealink networked room-audio design with PoE+ power The room is being built around compatible Yealink AV infrastructure such as AVHub.
CS10-D Dante network audio with PoE+ power The project already uses Dante-compatible DSP, switching or a wider Pro-AV audio network.

CS10 — for the Yealink room-audio path

For a room designed around Yealink’s own audio components, the standard CS10 is the logical starting point. Power and audio are carried over the network architecture, keeping the ceiling side clean and avoiding a conventional low-impedance amplifier run to every loudspeaker location.

CS10-D — when Dante is already part of the room

Choose CS10-D where the consultant or AV integrator has specified Dante audio transport. It fits a network-audio design rather than forcing the room back to analogue speaker cabling. CS10-D is also the variant Yealink identifies as Zoom Certified.

If your tender document simply says “Yealink ceiling speaker” and doesn’t identify the network-audio architecture, don’t guess the suffix. CS10 and CS10-D should be selected from the room design. Changing that decision after the ceiling is closed can mean changing switching, routing and commissioning work as well.

Why the 120° Coverage Pattern Matters

A ceiling loudspeaker has a different job from the speaker under a display. It doesn’t need to throw sound 8 or 10 metres from the front wall. It needs to spread intelligible voice over the seats below it without creating one loud chair and one quiet chair.

The CS10 has a nominal 120° coverage angle. In practical room design, that wide dispersion gives the installer room to overlap adjacent speaker coverage and keep listening levels more consistent across a table or training area. The exact spacing still depends on ceiling height. A speaker mounted in a low 2.6-metre office ceiling covers the room differently from the same speaker in a high executive boardroom.

That’s why we look at reflected ceiling plans before deciding quantities. In a glass meeting room in JLT, for example, moving a speaker away from a hard glass boundary can be more useful than simply adding another unit. Position first. Quantity second.

Built for Speech, Not Background Music

The published frequency response is 100 Hz to 20 kHz at -6 dB. On paper that looks like a normal wideband speaker figure. The more useful point is what Yealink has tuned it to do: reproduce meeting-room speech clearly. Human voices sit heavily through the midrange, and that is where intelligibility is won or lost once a room adds air-conditioning noise, laptop fans and reflective glass.

For a CEO boardroom, project room or hybrid training room, that tuning makes sense. The speaker’s job is to make a remote participant sound natural enough that people stop thinking about the audio system. It isn’t designed as a replacement for a dedicated hospitality music system or a high-output presentation PA.

Rated continuous SPL is 99 dB at 20 W measured at 1 metre, with sensitivity listed at 88 dB at 1 W / 1 metre. Those numbers give the audio designer useful headroom for speech without turning a ceiling speaker into something it isn’t.

PoE+ Power — Check the Switch Before the Ceiling Closes

Each CS10/CS10-D requires PoE+ rather than basic low-power PoE. The requirement is IEEE 802.3at Class 4. Typical consumption is around 5 to 7 W, while the design needs headroom for a peak of up to 20 W.

That peak figure matters when several speakers and ceiling microphones share one AV network device. Looking only at average wattage can produce a design that appears fine on a spreadsheet but runs too close to the PoE budget once the room is under load.

AVHub power planning

Yealink’s documented deployment guidance includes an AVHub configuration with 2 CS10 speakers and 2 CM20 ceiling microphones. The same guidance advises against pushing one AVHub beyond 3 CS10 speakers because the available PoE power margin becomes the limiting factor. For larger rooms, power distribution and switching should be designed before equipment quantities are finalised.

We also check the exact switch model on existing sites. “It has PoE ports” isn’t enough. Port standard, total PoE budget and AV-network behaviour all need to match the room design. This is particularly important on office fit-outs where the main IT switch was selected months before the meeting-room hardware.

How It Fits Into a Yealink Meeting Room

The CS10 is a room-audio component, not the meeting platform itself. It doesn’t replace a Teams Rooms computer, Zoom Rooms appliance, camera or microphone. Think of it as the loudspeaker layer inside a larger Yealink video conferencing system.

That distinction matters when comparing CS10 with CS10-D. The standard CS10 can be designed into Yealink room-audio infrastructure with compatible devices such as AVHub. CS10-D is the version to look at when Dante is specified in the AV design. The Dante model being Zoom Certified doesn’t mean the standard CS10 should automatically be described the same way, and we don’t sell them as though the suffix makes no technical difference.

For Microsoft Teams Rooms, Zoom Rooms or mixed-platform boardrooms in Dubai, we design the complete signal path first: meeting-room platform, camera, microphone coverage, speaker coverage, processing, PoE capacity and network routing. Then the ceiling gets closed. Doing it in that order saves a lot of ceiling tiles later.

What Arrives — and What Still Has to Be Designed

The CS10 or CS10-D is the ceiling loudspeaker itself. It should be treated as one part of the room audio design, not as a complete conferencing system in a box. The final installation may also need compatible network audio hardware, PoE+ switching, microphones, camera, meeting-room processor and the correct ceiling mounting accessories depending on the room.

A removable magnetic grille is part of the speaker design, which makes access cleaner after installation. For ceilings where flush installation isn’t practical, Yealink also lists a CS-PendantMount as a separate mounting option. That can matter in exposed-ceiling offices, training areas and fit-outs where the slab is visible above the meeting table.

Not included — plan these separately where required

Meeting-room camera, ceiling microphones, AVHub or other compatible audio infrastructure, PoE+ switching, Dante network components for CS10-D projects, display, room controller and specialist ceiling mounting accessories. We confirm the required parts from the room drawing before quotation rather than adding unnecessary hardware after delivery.

The RCH40 Detail That Can Save an Installation Day

There is one network detail worth checking before an installer connects several Yealink ProAudio devices and assumes any PoE switch will behave the same way. Yealink’s deployment guidance distinguishes the original RCH40 from the later RCH40 E2 when ProAudio devices such as ceiling speakers and microphones are being connected.

The issue is Energy Efficient Ethernet behaviour. If the required EEE setting can’t be disabled on the switch being used, the network is not the design we would approve for this audio path. Yealink’s later guidance points installers toward RCH40 E2 or AVHub for direct ProAudio device connections.

This is exactly the sort of problem that appears after a ceiling has been closed in a rushed fit-out. Six Cat6 cables are labelled correctly. Every device has power. Yet the room audio still doesn’t behave as expected. We check the switch generation, PoE budget and audio architecture before installation — especially on DIFC and Business Bay projects where the meeting-room AV may be sharing infrastructure with an existing corporate network.

PABX, Etisalat and du — Where the CS10 Actually Sits

The CS10 isn’t the device we register as an extension on an office PABX. It is the loudspeaker layer inside the meeting room. If the room also needs calls to normal telephone numbers through Etisalat, du, 3CX, Yeastar, Grandstream or another SIP platform, that connection is handled by the conferencing endpoint or room system feeding the audio chain.

That distinction is useful on UAE projects because “network speaker” can mean several different things. The CS10 is designed around conference-room audio distribution. We don’t position it as a standalone SIP paging horn, an office announcement endpoint or a replacement for the IP phone system.

For a new boardroom, we can design both sides together: the video conferencing platform handles the meeting and call logic, while the SkySound ceiling components handle pickup and playback in the room. If PSTN calling through the office telephone system is required, that requirement is confirmed separately during design.

A Better Fit for Divisible Rooms

Consider a Dubai training room with a movable partition down the middle. On Monday it’s one large space for 24 people. On Tuesday the partition closes and the room becomes two separate 12-person meeting spaces. A single speaker mounted at the front of the full room is immediately in the wrong place for one of those modes.

Distributed ceiling loudspeakers give the room designer much more control. Speakers can be positioned over each seating zone, then the wider AV system can be engineered around the way the room operates when the partition is open or closed. This is where networked room audio starts to make more sense than simply fitting a larger soundbar.

Hotels, training centres, corporate learning rooms and larger boardrooms are the obvious applications. So are government and enterprise meeting spaces in Abu Dhabi where the room is expected to support different layouts over its lifetime. Ceiling infrastructure is harder to change later than a camera on the wall. It pays to design it properly the first time.

Products Commonly Designed Around the CS10 / CS10-D

A ceiling speaker normally arrives on our quotation as part of a room, not by itself. These are the Yealink product families we usually check while building the complete audio path:

Yealink CM20 Ceiling Microphone — pairs ceiling pickup with ceiling playback when the room needs the table kept clear. Yealink deployment guidance includes AVHub designs using 2 CS10 speakers with 2 CM20 microphones.

Yealink CM50 Ceiling Microphone — another SkySound ceiling-audio option to assess when the room requires a more developed ceiling microphone design.

Yealink AVHub — central room AV infrastructure used in Yealink meeting-room designs and an important part of the power-planning discussion when multiple CS10 units and ceiling microphones are connected.

Yealink RCH80 AV Switch — relevant when the project needs dedicated managed AV networking and additional PoE capacity for a larger SkySound design.

Yealink RCH240 AV Switch — the larger switching option to examine for projects with more networked AV endpoints and higher overall PoE requirements.

Yealink AP08 — part of Yealink’s broader Pro-AV processing family for rooms where the audio design goes beyond a basic speaker-and-microphone layout.

Yealink MVC Teams Rooms systems — suitable when the ceiling audio is being built around a dedicated Microsoft Teams Room rather than an all-in-one video bar.

CS10 Installation Across Dubai, Abu Dhabi and the UAE

Ceiling audio installation starts before anybody cuts a tile. We confirm the room dimensions, reflected ceiling plan, ceiling height, table position, partition lines, network rack location and available PoE budget first. On an existing office floor, we also check whether the planned speaker positions clash with AC diffusers, sprinkler heads, lights or access panels.

1

Room survey — confirm ceiling height, coverage zones, table layout, cable route and the number of operating room modes.

2

Network and power check — verify PoE+ Class 4 support, total PoE budget and whether the project is standard Yealink network audio or Dante.

3

Installation and test — speakers are mounted, addressed within the room system and checked using an actual meeting call from every normal seating position.

Yealink CS10 UAE supply and installation covers Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, Ajman, Ras Al Khaimah, Fujairah and Umm Al Quwain. That includes new fit-outs as well as upgrades where an existing video room needs better far-end audio without putting another box on the meeting table.

CS10 / CS10-D Export from Dubai

We supply Yealink SkySound room-audio hardware from Dubai for AV installers and system integrators working on meeting-room projects in South Africa, Ghana, Tanzania, Ethiopia, Kenya and Nigeria. CS10 and CS10-D can be quoted as individual project items or together with the required room-audio hardware for a complete bill of materials.

For export projects, send the room quantity, required speaker count and whether the design is standard CS10 or Dante-based CS10-D. That lets us check the supporting hardware instead of shipping speakers that don’t match the planned network architecture.

Frequently Asked Questions

What’s the difference between the Yealink CS10 and CS10-D?

The key difference is the audio-network architecture. CS10 is used in Yealink networked room-audio designs, while CS10-D adds Dante network audio for Pro-AV rooms built around Dante-compatible infrastructure. CS10-D is also the variant Yealink identifies as Zoom Certified. We recommend choosing the model from the room design rather than treating the “-D” as a minor SKU change.

Can I power the CS10 from any PoE network switch?

Don’t assume that every PoE-labelled switch is suitable. CS10 requires PoE+ using IEEE 802.3at Class 4. The design also needs enough total PoE budget for all speakers and microphones connected to the AV network. We check the exact switch model and available power before confirming speaker quantities.

How many CS10 speakers do I need for a 10 or 12-person boardroom?

Seat count alone isn’t enough to calculate it. The CS10 has 120° nominal coverage, but actual spacing depends on ceiling height, room width, table length and speaker position. A long 12-seat boardroom can need a different layout from a square 12-seat room. Send us the room dimensions or ceiling drawing and we can size the layout correctly.

Will CS10 connect directly to our Etisalat or du office phone system?

The CS10 is the room loudspeaker, not the SIP endpoint used for the office phone line. Etisalat, du or PABX calling is handled by the meeting-room endpoint or conferencing system feeding the room audio. We can integrate the telephone requirement when designing the complete room.

Can you install CS10 speakers in an existing Dubai office ceiling?

Yes, subject to a ceiling and cable-path check. We confirm approximately 126 mm speaker depth, grille position, Cat6 routing, PoE+ availability and clashes with HVAC diffusers, lighting and fire-services equipment before cutting the ceiling. Installation is available across Dubai, Abu Dhabi and all 7 UAE emirates.

Are Yealink CS10 and CS10-D available in Dubai?

Yes, CS10 and CS10-D can be supplied for Dubai and UAE meeting-room projects. Same-day quotations are available on WhatsApp, including project quantities and supporting SkySound hardware. For larger orders, send the required quantity and room design so the correct network and PoE components can be checked at the same time.

Need Yealink CS10 or CS10-D for a boardroom in Dubai? Send the room dimensions, ceiling height and whether the project uses Dante. We’ll match the speaker layout and supporting audio hardware before quotation.
