Description
Yealink VCM35 Wired Mic Conference Microphone Dubai
The people nearest the screen sound fine. Then someone at the far side of the conference table starts talking and the remote team asks them to repeat it. Add the usual Dubai office HVAC running above the room, chairs moving on tiled floors and conversations leaking through a glass partition, and the microphone inside the video bar has a lot to deal with.
The Yealink VCM35 Wired Mic moves the microphone closer to the people actually speaking. It sits on the conference table and uses a built-in 3-microphone array to pick up voices through 360 degrees within a 5-metre radius. Wired connection makes sense in a fixed meeting room where the table, display and video system stay in the same place every day. No microphone battery to charge before a 9AM meeting. No wireless unit disappearing into another room.

Why Put a VCM35 on the Conference Table?
Distance is normally the issue. A video bar mounted below a 65-inch or 75-inch display may be several metres from the person sitting at the opposite end of the table. Move the microphone closer to that person and the room system receives a stronger speech signal before any audio processing starts. The VCM35 is built for that job as a wired microphone array for compatible Yealink video conferencing systems.
Its 360-degree pickup pattern matters on a table because people aren’t speaking in one direction. Someone faces the display. Another turns towards a colleague. A project manager may stand beside the table while explaining a drawing. The VCM35 listens around the complete microphone body rather than requiring everyone to speak towards one narrow side.
For fixed Dubai meeting rooms, wired audio also removes one small but familiar support problem: battery management. The room can be used all week without somebody checking whether the table microphone was returned to a charger. If you’re planning a permanent room rather than a portable meeting setup, see the wider Room Audio & Microphones Dubai range for wired, wireless and ceiling-audio options.
The Audio Processing Behind the 3-Microphone Array
The VCM35 isn’t just three microphone capsules inside a round enclosure. Yealink combines the array with several speech-processing functions intended for two-way conference calls.
Yealink Full Duplex Technology
Both sides of a call can speak at the same time without the room behaving like an old speakerphone where one direction cuts out while the other person talks. That matters during a normal boardroom discussion. People interrupt. Two people answer together. Someone in Abu Dhabi starts speaking before the Dubai side has completely finished. Full-duplex audio is designed to keep that conversation moving in both directions.
Acoustic Echo Canceling
The room loudspeaker is playing the remote participant’s voice while the VCM35 is listening to people around the table. Acoustic Echo Canceling is there to stop that loudspeaker audio being sent straight back into the call as an echo. In a glass-walled DIFC or DMCC conference room, controlling reflected sound matters because hard surfaces give the microphone more reflected audio to work through.
Noise Proof Technology + Voice Activity Detection
Noise Proof Technology works on background sound while Voice Activity Detection identifies periods where speech is present. Think about the sounds a Dubai meeting room produces before anybody talks: air-conditioning, laptop fans, keyboards, a chair scraping the floor or activity outside a glass partition. The microphone processing is built around keeping spoken voice useful during a conference call rather than treating every sound in the room equally.
Yealink also specifies Optima HD Audio and a 100 Hz to 8 kHz microphone frequency response. That range is centred on conference speech. This is a meeting-room microphone, not a studio microphone and not a device intended for recording music.
5-Metre Pickup Doesn’t Mean “Put It Anywhere”
The current VCM35 specification is a 5-metre pickup radius with 360-degree coverage. Radius is the important word. Place the microphone near the speaking area, not automatically beside the display. If the nearest person is 1 metre away and the furthest regular speaker is 7 metres away, moving the microphone towards the middle of the table usually creates a more sensible physical layout than leaving all audio capture at the front wall.
The 360-degree pattern also means you don’t have to align one face of the microphone with one person. That gives installers more freedom around cable grommets, table boxes and power modules. Useful in JLT and Business Bay offices where the conference table may already have HDMI, USB-C, power and network points competing for the same centre position.
For larger rooms, Yealink supports star-cascaded VCM35 deployment on compatible room systems. That allows multiple microphone positions to be planned around a longer table rather than expecting one microphone to hear every seat from one end. The exact number of VCM35 units supported depends on the Yealink video system being installed, so the room-system model should be checked before ordering multiple microphones.
Don’t choose by seat count alone
A 10-seat square table and a 10-seat 6-metre rectangular table are completely different microphone jobs. Measure the distance from the planned microphone position to the furthest speaker. The VCM35 has a 5-metre rated pickup radius. For long boardrooms, divisible rooms or spaces where table cables aren’t practical, a wireless or ceiling microphone layout may be the better approach.
Touch Mute Where People Can Actually Reach It
There is a touch-sensitive mute control on the VCM35 itself. Small detail. Useful every day. Someone discussing a confidential point doesn’t have to look for a touch console, remote control or software mute button while a call is running. They can mute from the table microphone in front of them.
That also makes more sense when the room has several people spread along a table. Audio control stays near the conversation instead of living only at the display end of the room. For legal meetings, HR interviews and financial discussions in DIFC offices, a physical mute point within arm’s reach is often easier for users to understand than hunting through an on-screen meeting interface.

Where the VCM35 Fits in a Yealink Meeting Room
The VCM35 is an audio accessory, not a complete conference system. It doesn’t contain a camera, room speaker, meeting application or display connection. Its job is microphone capture. The camera and meeting platform still come from the compatible Yealink room system it is connected to.
That distinction matters when you’re planning a new room. If you already have a compatible Yealink video system and the problem is voice coverage around a longer table, the VCM35 may be the missing audio piece. If you’re building the room from zero, choose the video system first, then work out how many microphone positions the table and seating layout require. Browse the Yealink video conferencing systems before deciding the microphone layout.
Compatibility should be checked against the exact Yealink room-system model. Don’t assume that an RJ45-style connector means the microphone can plug into a normal network switch or into every Yealink product. For a Dubai or Abu Dhabi project, send the existing video-system model and the table dimensions before ordering. That takes five minutes and avoids buying the correct microphone for the wrong room system.
Wired Microphone or Wireless Microphone?
The VCM35 is the choice when the microphone position is fixed and the room is staying put. Boardrooms with a permanent table. Training rooms where the cable can run through a floor box. Meeting spaces where the IT team would rather not add another rechargeable device to the room.
A wireless microphone is useful when tables move, cable routes are impossible or the room layout changes every week. The wired VCM35 takes the opposite approach. Once the microphone cable is routed properly, the mic stays in the same position and is ready whenever the room system is switched on.
That makes the VCM35 particularly practical in fitted-out offices in DIFC, DMCC and Business Bay where the conference table already has a central floor box or cable channel. For projects where table cabling isn’t possible, look at the wider Yealink room audio and microphone range before fixing the room design.
Content Sharing, BYOD and the VCM35
The VCM35 doesn’t handle content sharing itself. It has one job: table audio capture. BYOD, HDMI sharing, USB-C sharing and wireless presentation are handled by the Yealink room system and its sharing accessories.
That separation is useful when designing a room. You can place the VCM35 where people speak and place the sharing connection where laptops normally sit. In many Dubai boardrooms those are not the same physical point. The microphone belongs near the centre of the speaking area. The laptop connection normally belongs close to the seat used by the presenter.
For rooms that need wireless laptop presentation, see the Wireless Presentation & BYOD range. The exact accessory depends on the Yealink room system already installed.
What About PABX, Etisalat and du?
The VCM35 doesn’t register to a PABX, SIP account, Etisalat service or du line by itself. It is an audio accessory connected to a compatible Yealink meeting-room system. Any SIP, telephone or video-platform integration comes from that host system.
So if your meeting room is already connected to a corporate phone platform, the VCM35 simply becomes part of the room’s audio path. It doesn’t need its own extension number and it doesn’t change the way the existing room system is registered.
For UAE installations, send us the exact Yealink room model and the existing telephony platform before ordering. We check the microphone connection against the host equipment rather than assuming compatibility from the connector type. If the same office also needs desk endpoints, the Yealink IP phone range covers the user side separately.
What’s in the Box?
The VCM35 package is centred on the microphone itself and the connection needed for compatible Yealink room deployments. Exact package contents can vary by regional shipment, so we confirm the current box list against the supplied unit before dispatch rather than adding items that may belong to another bundle.
Not included — plan the room separately
The VCM35 is not a complete video conferencing system. Camera, room speaker, display, touch controller, BYOD device and host video system are separate unless specifically included in a project quotation. We also check cable routing before installation so the wired microphone does not end up with a loose cable across the conference table.
Installation in Dubai and Across the UAE
A tabletop microphone is simple hardware, but its position still affects the result. Put it too close to the room loudspeaker and you’re making the audio system work harder. Put it at one end of a long table and the furthest participant may sit outside the useful pickup area. Good installation starts with the table dimensions.
1
Check the room system — Confirm the exact Yealink video system model and microphone connection before the unit is ordered.
2
Choose the microphone position — Measure from the planned VCM35 location to the furthest regular speaker and keep the 5-metre rated pickup radius in mind.
3
Cable and test — Route the microphone cable through the table or floor path, connect the host system and run a real test call from the near and far seats before handover.
Yealink VCM35 Wired Mic UAE supply and installation is available in Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, Ajman, Ras Al Khaimah, Fujairah and Umm Al Quwain. Installation is included with Yealink Dubai projects. For multi-room rollouts in JLT, DMCC or DIFC, microphone positions can be checked room by room rather than copying one table layout across every space.

Related Yealink Room Products
A VCM35 is normally bought as part of a room design rather than as an isolated desktop accessory. These are the product groups we usually check around it:
Meeting-room systems: Start with the Yealink video conferencing range if the room still needs its camera and host system.
Room audio: Compare wired tabletop, wireless and ceiling options in Room Audio & Microphones Dubai.
Microsoft Teams rooms: For rooms being built around Microsoft Teams hardware, browse the Yealink Microsoft Teams range before choosing the audio layout.
Wireless presentation: Add laptop sharing from the wireless presentation and BYOD range where visitors need to present from their own devices.
Meeting-room accessories: Controllers, presentation devices and room add-ons sit in the Yealink accessories range.
Personal audio: If the project also includes individual workstations or call-centre users, the Yealink headset range covers those seats separately from the meeting room.
Where the VCM35 Makes Sense
Legal offices are a good example. Eight people may sit around a long table with documents, laptops and one screen at the end. Nobody wants a microphone stand blocking the room, but they do need every participant picked up when the discussion moves from one side of the table to the other. The VCM35 stays low on the table and listens through 360 degrees.
The same applies to finance, consulting and project rooms where meetings run for an hour or two and the table layout rarely changes. In those rooms, wired audio is often simpler than maintaining batteries across multiple shared spaces. Fixed cable. Fixed microphone. Known pickup position.
Open collaboration areas need more care. A 5-metre pickup radius can also hear people you didn’t intend to include if the room isn’t acoustically separated. In glass-partition offices near busy corridors, microphone placement and the host system’s audio processing should be tested before handover rather than judged only from the floor plan.
VCM35 Supply for Abu Dhabi and UAE Projects
The Yealink VCM35 Wired Mic is supplied for new room builds, additional microphone positions and multi-room office projects across the UAE. For an Abu Dhabi boardroom, send the room-system model, table length and a simple photo of the table before ordering. That is normally enough to tell whether one central microphone position makes sense or whether the room needs a different audio layout.
For Dubai projects, the same check helps when an office is moving from a small meeting room into a longer boardroom but keeping the existing Yealink video system. We verify the host-system compatibility first and then plan the microphone around the new table rather than assuming the old audio layout will still work.
VCM35 Export from Dubai to Africa and MEA
Yealink Dubai supplies VCM35 microphones from Dubai for AV installers and system integrators working on meeting-room projects in South Africa, Ghana, Nigeria, Tanzania, Ethiopia and Kenya. Project quantities can be packed with compatible Yealink room hardware so the microphone accessories travel with the main video-conferencing order.
FOB Dubai pricing is available for reseller and project shipments. Send the destination country, quantity and the Yealink host-system model so compatibility can be checked before the export quotation is prepared.
For larger installations, microphone quantities can be matched to room counts rather than shipped as loose accessories. That helps integrators keep one audio layout per room type across a rollout.

Frequently Asked Questions
Will one VCM35 cover our full 10-seat boardroom table?
It depends on the table shape and microphone position, not just the number of chairs. The current VCM35 is rated for 360-degree pickup within a 5-metre radius. Measure from the planned microphone position to the furthest regular speaker. For a long rectangular table, multiple microphone positions or another room-audio design may make more sense.
Can I connect the VCM35 directly to any Yealink video bar?
Don’t assume that. VCM35 compatibility depends on the Yealink host system and its supported microphone connection. Send us the exact room-system model before ordering and we’ll check it against the planned installation.
Does the VCM35 work with Microsoft Teams or Zoom?
The microphone itself doesn’t run Teams or Zoom. It supplies room audio to a compatible Yealink conferencing system. If that host system is being used for Teams or Zoom, the VCM35 becomes part of its microphone path where supported.
Will it connect to our Etisalat or du office phone system?
Not directly. The VCM35 has no SIP account or telephone registration of its own. Any Etisalat, du or PABX integration is handled by the compatible Yealink room system connected to the microphone.
Can you install the VCM35 in an existing Dubai meeting room?
Yes, where the existing Yealink host system supports it. We check the room model, table dimensions and cable route first, then position the microphone and run a live test call. Installation is available across Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah and all 7 UAE emirates.
