The Yealink CT200 Dubai is a room device navigator and AV-over-IP control appliance built for Yealink AV ONE and SkySound deployments. It manages connected room devices, handles control logic and supports third-party equipment through an Open API. Two independent LAN connections also allow the AV network and device-management network to be separated where the room design calls for it.

For larger conference rooms, training spaces and divisible meeting rooms in Dubai or Abu Dhabi, the CT200 can work with devices such as Yealink EN300 and DE300 AV-over-IP endpoints, AP08 audio processing, ceiling microphones and room sensors. A partition sensor can trigger different room operating states automatically when a movable wall is opened or closed. No one should be walking into the rack room to change the system manually.

The displays, AV-over-IP endpoints, ceiling microphones, DSP and room sensors all need to follow that change without someone opening a rack cabinet and reconfiguring the system by hand. That is the job the Yealink CT200 is built to handle.

The CT200 sits behind the meeting room rather than on the table. It is the control appliance that manages Yealink AV-over-IP devices, applies room-control logic and connects the different pieces of an AV ONE or SkySound deployment. In a DIFC boardroom, DMCC training centre or Abu Dhabi divisible conference space, users may never see the CT200. They simply notice that the room behaves correctly when a partition opens, a source changes or an AV device needs to switch state.

Where the CT200 Fits in a Meeting Room

The CT200 is not a touchscreen meeting console and it is not a room-booking panel. It normally sits in the AV rack, equipment cabinet or another protected installation point. Its role is to coordinate the infrastructure behind the meeting room: AV-over-IP devices, control logic, sensors and supported third-party equipment.

That distinction matters when specifying a room. If staff need a screen on the table to join a Microsoft Teams meeting, the CT200 is not that device. If the project needs a controller that can manage the AV system behind multiple displays, encoders, decoders and room states, then the CT200 belongs in the design.

The strongest use case is a room where several systems need to react together. A movable wall opens. A partition sensor changes state. The AV topology needs to switch from two independent rooms into one combined space. Or a training facility runs different source-to-display layouts throughout the day. Those are infrastructure problems rather than user-interface problems.

Not the right fit?

If you need a touch panel for starting meetings, controlling a Teams Room or showing room bookings outside a glass meeting room, don’t specify the CT200 for that job. What the Yealink CT200 Actually Controls

Think of the CT200 as the decision point in the room. Yealink positions it as a Room Device Navigator and AV-over-IP device manager. It can manage Yealink AVoIP endpoints such as EN300 and DE300 units, apply room-control logic and work with supported room sensors. It also provides an Open API for third-party integration, which matters in projects where the room contains more than Yealink hardware.

The result is a cleaner control architecture. Instead of asking users to understand which encoder feeds which display, or which audio zone belongs to which side of a divisible room, the installer defines the logic once. The CT200 then carries out the correct room state when the required trigger occurs.

For a hotel meeting floor in Dubai, this can mean converting one ballroom into two separate client rooms without sending an AV technician upstairs every time the wall moves. Divisible-Room Automation

A partition sensor can be used as a trigger so the system changes operating mode when a movable wall opens or closes. One large conference room becomes two independent AV spaces, or two spaces combine into one. Open API for Third-Party Equipment

The CT200 is not limited to controlling only one product type. Yealink provides an Open API so supported third-party devices can be included in the room-control design. That gives integrators room to build displays, sensors and other AV infrastructure into the same operating logic rather than leaving them as separate islands.

H5 Control Interface

Yealink’s control approach can create an H5 operating interface based on the room devices and the required control logic. That reduces dependence on a fully custom-coded control project for every meeting space. For multi-room rollouts in JLT, Business Bay or Abu Dhabi, repeating the same control design across several rooms becomes much easier to manage.

Two LAN Ports — Why That Matters

The CT200 has two independent network connections. That sounds like a small line in a specification sheet. In a properly designed AV-over-IP room, it can be one of the most useful details.

AV-over-IP traffic can be heavy, particularly where multiple video sources and endpoints are running through the same room or floor. Keeping the AV transport side separate from the control and management network gives the project designer more freedom to segment traffic. It also makes troubleshooting easier. If something fails during a client call, the engineer can tell whether the issue sits on the AV network or the management side instead of chasing everything through one flat network.

This is particularly relevant in UAE offices where meeting-room equipment is often added to an existing corporate network after the building fit-out. Glass partitions go in first. AV gets designed later. Two independent LAN interfaces give the installer another way to keep room traffic organised without asking the IT department to redesign the whole floor.

CT200 in Yealink AV ONE and SkySound Rooms

The CT200 makes the most sense when it is viewed as one component in a larger Yealink room architecture. AV ONE covers IP-based video distribution and device control. SkySound covers the room-audio side with products such as ceiling microphones, DSP equipment and ceiling speakers. The CT200 provides the control layer that helps those pieces operate as a planned room instead of a collection of individual boxes.

A typical project could include EN300 or DE300 AV-over-IP endpoints, an AP08 audio processor, ceiling microphones, ceiling speakers and a partition sensor. The exact bill of materials depends on room dimensions, display count, microphone layout and whether the space is fixed or divisible. We don’t recommend treating the CT200 as a standalone purchase until the rest of that room design is understood.

Platform and System Compatibility

The CT200 should not be sold on the same compatibility claims as a Teams Room bar or Zoom Room appliance. It is room-control infrastructure. Its job is to sit underneath the conferencing platform and manage the AV environment around it.

That means a Teams, Zoom or BYOD meeting room can still use a CT200 as part of the wider AV system, but the CT200 itself is not being positioned here as a Teams-certified or Zoom-certified meeting endpoint. Those certifications belong to the conferencing device used in the room, not automatically to the room-control processor behind it.

For Dubai and Abu Dhabi AV projects, we normally specify the CT200 after confirming the room topology: number of displays, number of sources, AV-over-IP endpoints, microphone and speaker layout, partition requirements and whether third-party control is needed. That avoids buying a controller first and trying to force the room design around it later.

BYOD, Content Sharing and the CT200 — Don’t Mix Up the Roles

The CT200 doesn’t accept a visitor’s laptop for BYOD and it doesn’t replace a wireless presentation device. If somebody walks into a DMCC meeting room with a laptop and wants to share a presentation, that function belongs to the conferencing or presentation hardware installed in the room. The CT200 remains behind the scenes managing the room-control layer.

This distinction matters on larger projects. A room may use one device for Microsoft Teams or Zoom meetings, another for laptop sharing, EN300 or DE300 units for AV-over-IP distribution, SkySound products for room audio, and the CT200 for control logic. They work as one room, but they aren’t interchangeable boxes.

Does the CT200 Connect to an Office PABX?

No direct PABX role is specified for the CT200. It isn’t an IP phone, SIP desk endpoint or PSTN gateway. You don’t register it as an extension on 3CX, Grandstream UCM, Yeastar, Avaya, Etisalat or du.

If a meeting room also needs telephone calling, that function comes from the conferencing endpoint or another SIP-capable device in the room. The CT200 can still control the surrounding AV environment while the call platform handles voice and video communications.

That separation makes troubleshooting cleaner. If an Etisalat or du SIP call fails, the engineer checks the conferencing or telephony endpoint. If the divisible-room logic or AV-over-IP routing isn’t behaving correctly, the CT200 and its connected control environment are the place to look.

What’s in the Box?

The published CT200 material confirms the control appliance itself and its supported power methods, including IEEE 802.3af PoE and 12V DC. The exact regional accessory pack can vary, so we don’t publish an assumed cable or power-adaptor list as if every CT200 shipment contains the same items.

For a Dubai project, the more important question is the complete room bill of materials. A CT200 on its own does not create an AV ONE or SkySound room. The required endpoints, network switching, DSP, microphones, speakers, sensors and conferencing hardware depend on the actual room design.

Consider a Dubai hotel with a training suite that seats 30 people when the folding wall is open. In the morning, one company books the full room for a workshop. After lunch, the wall closes and two separate clients occupy each half.

Without room automation, somebody has to change sources, audio zones and display routing manually. Miss one setting and Room B hears the presenter from Room A. Or one screen continues showing the wrong laptop. HVAC noise and people moving behind glass doors already give the AV engineer enough to deal with; source routing shouldn’t become another manual job.

With the CT200 sitting in the control layer, the partition state can become part of the room logic. Open wall: one combined room configuration. Closed wall: two independent operating states. The exact behaviour is designed around the project, but the principle is simple — the room reacts to how the physical space is being used.
