Description
Yealink CPE95 Expansion Microphone Dubai
The CP965 sits in the middle of a long boardroom table and the people closest to it sound fine. Then someone at the far end starts speaking. They lean forward. Remote callers turn the volume up. The ceiling AC in a DIFC meeting room suddenly sounds almost as close as the person talking. That’s usually not a conference-phone problem. It’s a microphone-placement problem.
The Yealink CPE95 moves the microphone closer to those far seats without replacing the CP965. One wired expansion microphone adds a 360-degree pickup area with a specified 3-metre radius. A second CPE95 can be added when the table is longer. With the CP965 and two CPE95 microphones installed, Yealink specifies coverage for conference tables up to 10 metres long. Useful for the long executive tables we see in Business Bay, JLT and Abu Dhabi offices where a single centre microphone simply sits too far from several participants.

How Many CPE95 Microphones Does Your Table Need?
Don’t order expansion microphones by seat count alone. Table length and where people actually sit matter more. An eight-person square table can be easier to cover than an eight-person narrow table stretching across a glass meeting room. The CPE95 is there to move the pickup point toward the voices that sit outside the comfortable range of the main CP965.
| Table Layout | Typical Setup | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Compact table | CP965 only | Keep the table clean if all seats already sit close to the phone. |
| Longer table with one weak end | CP965 + 1 × CPE95 | Moves a dedicated pickup point toward the seats that sound distant. |
| Long executive table | CP965 + 2 × CPE95 | Places one expansion microphone toward each end of the table. |
| Table approaching 10m | CP965 + 2 × CPE95 | Yealink specifies support for conference tables up to 10 metres with two expansion microphones. |
Don’t add microphones unless the room needs them
If every seat already sits comfortably around the CP965, adding a CPE95 doesn’t automatically make the call better. Expansion microphones are for distance and placement problems. For a long table, send us the table length and seating layout before ordering and we’ll tell you whether one or two units make sense.
What the Yealink CPE95 Actually Adds to a CP965
This isn’t a separate conference phone and it doesn’t register to a SIP account by itself. The CPE95 is a wired microphone accessory built to work with the Yealink CP965. The CP965 remains the conference phone, speaker and control point. The CPE95 adds another microphone position on the table.
That distinction matters when you’re upgrading an existing room. If the CP965 is already installed and the only complaint is that voices from the far end sound weak, you don’t need another phone in the room. Add the microphone where the problem is. The 3-metre cable gives the installer room to position it away from the CP965 and nearer the far seats.
For new installations, the CPE95 sits within our Yealink conference phone range. We normally plan the CP965 position first, then decide whether the table geometry justifies one CPE95 or two. Less clutter when the room is small. More pickup points when the table is genuinely long.
360° Pickup Around Each Expansion Mic
Each CPE95 listens around the microphone rather than from one narrow direction. Yealink specifies a 3-metre, 360-degree pickup radius. On a boardroom table this lets participants sit on either side of the microphone without having to turn toward it while speaking.
Mute Control at the Far End of the Table
The CPE95 includes a capacitive mute touchpad with a bi-colour LED. Someone seated several metres from the CP965 doesn’t have to reach across the table to mute the room. The microphone beside them gives a local control point and a visible status indication.
Wired Placement for Fixed Boardrooms
The 3-metre cable keeps the connection predictable. No battery to charge and no wireless microphone left in a drawer after somebody moves it. In fixed DIFC, DMCC and Abu Dhabi executive rooms, wired table audio is often the easier setup to keep consistent from one meeting to the next.

Audio Processing — Useful in Real Dubai Boardrooms
The microphone works as part of the CP965 audio system and supports Yealink Optima HD Voice, full-duplex conversation, echo cancellation and noise suppression. Full duplex matters when two people start talking at once. The call doesn’t have to behave like an old speakerphone where one side gets cut off while the other person speaks.
Noise suppression is also relevant in UAE offices where the HVAC rarely gets a day off. A ceiling cassette directly above a glass meeting room can put a steady layer of air noise into the room. The CPE95 doesn’t change the room acoustics, but placing the microphone closer to the person speaking gives the audio system a stronger voice signal to work with.
Same with glass partitions. Sound reflects. Chairs scrape. People outside the room walk past. Good microphone placement is still the first job. Processing comes after that. For rooms where the CP965 is the right conference-phone platform but the table is physically too long, the CPE95 extends the pickup points without changing how staff use the phone.
Platform Compatibility — Follow the CP965
The CPE95 doesn’t run Microsoft Teams, Zoom, SIP accounts or a PABX on its own. It has no independent user account and no separate meeting-room interface. Platform compatibility comes from the CP965 it is connected to. Think of the CPE95 as an extension of the CP965’s microphone system, not another endpoint on your network.

This also means there’s no separate cloud-management licence for the microphone itself. Your IT team manages the CP965 as the conference-room device. The CPE95 simply extends the audio pickup on the table. If you’re planning a wider room upgrade rather than just adding microphones, the broader Yealink conference phone range in Dubai covers different room layouts and meeting requirements.
Where the CPE95 Fits — and Where It Doesn’t
The CPE95 makes sense when you already have, or plan to install, a CP965 and the problem is table length. Long boardrooms. Executive meeting rooms. Client conference spaces where ten or more seats are spread down a rectangular table. Put one CPE95 toward the weak end, or two when both ends sit far from the main phone.
For a small six-seat room where everyone is already clustered around the CP965, the extra microphone may add nothing useful. For a room where microphones need to move between layouts every day, a fixed wired table arrangement may also be the wrong approach. Conference rooms should be designed around how people actually use them, not around how many accessories can be connected.
Compatibility warning
The CPE95 should be specified for the Yealink CP965. Don’t assume an older Yealink conference phone uses the same connector or expansion-microphone model just because the microphone looks similar. If you’re replacing an existing mic, send us the conference-phone model number before ordering.
For Yealink CPE95 UAE projects, we can plan microphone placement from the table dimensions before the equipment reaches site. That’s particularly useful in Dubai and Abu Dhabi boardrooms where the furniture is already fixed, cable access is through floor boxes, and moving a microphone later means opening the table again.
Installation and Cable Placement in a Finished Boardroom
The CPE95 is simple hardware, but where it lands on the table matters. A microphone placed 20 cm from the CP965 doesn’t solve a far-end pickup problem. On a long rectangular table, the expansion microphone should move toward the seats that sit furthest from the main conference phone while staying clear of laptop fans, projector remotes and the pile of charging cables that usually appears in the middle of the table.
Each CPE95 comes with a 3-metre connection cable. In a fixed Dubai boardroom, we normally check whether that cable can run through an existing table grommet or floor box before placing the microphone. Cleaner routing matters. Nobody wants a loose USB cable crossing an executive table in DIFC or a boardroom in Abu Dhabi where the furniture was custom-built around the room.
1
Measure the table — We check total table length and where people normally sit. This decides whether the CP965 alone is enough or whether one or two CPE95 microphones are justified.
2
Place the microphone — One CPE95 goes toward the weak end of the table. With two units, one normally sits toward each end while the CP965 stays central.
3
Run a real call — We test voices from the actual seating positions, including the far chairs. That catches the problems a specification sheet won’t: HVAC noise, hard glass reflections and someone speaking quietly while facing a laptop instead of the microphone.
PABX and Phone-System Compatibility — The CP965 Is the Endpoint
The CPE95 doesn’t register to a PABX. The CP965 does. That’s the clean way to understand the system. If your CP965 is already configured as the conference-room endpoint, adding a CPE95 changes the microphone coverage at the table; it doesn’t change the SIP extension, phone number or call routing.
That means the room can continue using the same CP965 deployment your IT team has already approved. The CPE95 has no separate SIP credentials and no extra extension to maintain. For offices running Etisalat, du or a private IP-PBX, any voice-platform configuration remains on the CP965 side.
If you’re planning a full conference-room phone deployment rather than a microphone-only addition, browse the Yealink conference phone range. For individual desk users around the same office, the Yealink IP phone range covers the fixed-user side of the voice system.
What’s in the Box
The CPE95 package is built around one job: adding a wired microphone position to a CP965 installation. The supplied microphone uses a 3-metre cable for placement on a larger conference table.
Not included — order separately if needed
The Yealink CP965 conference phone is not part of the CPE95 microphone purchase. A second CPE95 is also a separate item if your long table needs pickup at both ends. Table cable-management parts, floor-box work and other conference-room hardware are specified separately where required.
When We Normally Specify One CPE95 — and When We Specify Two
One microphone is usually the sensible fix when the room has one obvious weak side. Maybe the CP965 was installed slightly off-centre because the table has a cable box in the middle. Maybe the chairman’s seat sits at the far end and that’s the voice everyone complains about. Put one CPE95 there and solve the actual problem.
Two units make more sense when both ends of a long table sit well away from the CP965. Yealink allows up to two CPE95 microphones on one CP965 and specifies coverage for conference tables up to 10 metres in that arrangement. That’s the useful number. Not an invented seat count. A 10-metre table in a DMCC boardroom may seat 14 people in one layout and 20 in another, depending on chair spacing.
If the room is already compact, don’t force an expansion design into it. A six-seat table with the CP965 in the centre often doesn’t need another microphone at all. Fewer cables. Fewer objects on the table. Better.
Related Yealink Products for the Same Meeting Room
The CPE95 is normally bought as part of a room rather than as an isolated accessory. These are the products we would usually discuss around the same project:
| Related Product | Where It Fits |
|---|---|
| Yealink CP965 | The host conference phone for the CPE95. Start here if the room doesn’t already have a CP965. |
| Yealink CP935W | Useful where the conference-phone placement needs more freedom and the room doesn’t call for a CP965 plus wired CPE95 layout. |
| Yealink CP925 | A different conference-phone option for rooms where the full CP965 and expansion-mic arrangement isn’t required. |
| Yealink video conferencing systems | For rooms that need camera, display and remote video participation rather than audio-only conferencing. |
| Yealink IP phones | For reception, management desks and individual users on the same office voice network. |
| Yealink headsets | For staff taking calls individually rather than joining around the conference table. |
Boardrooms, Management Meetings and Client Conference Rooms
The CPE95 is most useful in rooms where people stay seated around a fixed table and the CP965 remains the centre of the call. Executive boardrooms. Weekly management meetings. Legal and finance rooms where ten people may sit around a long table but only three speak regularly. In those rooms, the far-end microphone position can matter more than adding another speaker.
Glass-heavy Dubai offices are a good example. A room in JLT may look compact from the corridor but still have a five- or six-metre table running lengthways. Hard surfaces bounce sound. The AC runs continuously for much of the year. Moving the microphone physically closer to a soft-spoken participant gives the CP965 better source audio before any processing has to do its work.
Yealink CPE95 UAE Supply and Abu Dhabi Installation
Yealink CPE95 UAE supply is available for new CP965 rooms and existing-room upgrades. We handle deployment across Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, Ajman, Ras Al Khaimah, Fujairah and Umm Al Quwain. Installation is included where the CPE95 forms part of the room project, including cable placement and a live audio test from the far seating positions.
For Abu Dhabi boardrooms, send the CP965 model confirmation, table length and number of fixed seats before the visit. That normally tells us whether to arrive with one CPE95 or two, rather than discovering the answer after the engineer is already in the room.
Stock & Availability: Yealink CPE95 in stock in Dubai. Same-day quote on WhatsApp. Project quantities and FOB Dubai pricing available for resellers. Ships to Africa, GCC and South Asia.
CPE95 Export from Dubai — Africa and MEA Projects
Telecom resellers and PABX installers can source the Yealink CPE95 from Dubai for conference-room projects across Nigeria, Uganda, Ghana, Kenya, Mozambique and Angola. The microphone is normally shipped together with CP965 units or as replacement and expansion stock for installed estates.
Project quantities are quoted FOB Dubai, with packing arranged around the full order rather than one accessory at a time. For rollout work, send the number of CP965 rooms and how many require one or two expansion microphones.
That avoids a common export mistake: ordering the same microphone quantity for every meeting room regardless of table length. A six-seat room may need none. A 10-metre executive table may need two.

Frequently Asked Questions
Will the CPE95 work with my Yealink CP965?
Yes. The CPE95 is a wired expansion microphone designed for the Yealink CP965. It connects to the host conference phone and adds another 360-degree microphone pickup position on the table.
Can I connect two CPE95 microphones to one CP965?
Yes. One CP965 supports up to two CPE95 expansion microphones. Yealink specifies conference-table coverage up to 10 metres when the CP965 is used with two CPE95 units.
How far does one Yealink CPE95 pick up voices?
Yealink specifies a 3-metre pickup radius with 360-degree coverage. Placement still matters. On a long table, put the microphone toward the participants who sit furthest from the CP965 rather than placing it beside the main phone.
Does the CPE95 connect directly to Etisalat, du or our PABX?
No. The CPE95 is only the expansion microphone. The CP965 is the conference-room endpoint that handles SIP and phone-system registration. Adding the CPE95 doesn’t create another extension or require separate PABX credentials.
Do we need one CPE95 or two for our boardroom?
It depends mainly on table length and where people sit. One unit can solve a weak pickup area at one end. Two are useful when both ends of a long table sit well away from the CP965. Send us the table length and seating layout on WhatsApp and we’ll specify the quantity before installation.
Is the Yealink CPE95 in stock in Dubai?
