Question 1

Which Zoom Room setup fits a small, medium and large room?

Accepted Answer

Small: a MeetingBar — A10 for huddles, A25 for glass focus rooms, A20 or A30 upward. Medium: the A50 bar or a compact ZVC S40/S50 kit. Large and boardroom: the ZVC S80 with its quad-eye camera. Extra-large and training halls: the ZVC S90. Send the room dimensions and seat count — the ladder answers itself.

Question 2

What is the difference between a bar and a ZVC kit?

Accepted Answer

A bar is everything in one unit under the TV — right up to medium rooms, where one camera position and one speaker position can serve the whole space. A kit splits the pieces so each sits where it works best: the camera at the display, the compute hidden, the MTouch Plus panel on the table, microphones along the table or in the ceiling. Bigger room, more pieces, better result.

Question 3

What is inside a ZVC S-series kit?

Accepted Answer

The S80: the SmartVision 80 quad-eye camera, the MCore 4 mini-PC running Zoom Rooms, the 11.6-inch MTouch Plus touch panel and a RoomSensor. The S90 steps up to two UVC86 intelligent cameras, the MCore Pro, the AVHub audio-video processor, a BYOD-Extender and a WPP30 wireless pod — with wired VCM35 or ceiling VCM38 microphones chosen for the room. Every kit arrives as one certified package, not a parts list.

Question 4

Why does the ZVC S80 camera have four lenses?

Accepted Answer

Because one lens cannot serve a big room honestly. The SmartVision 80 carries a panoramic lens for the whole table, two telephoto lenses and a PTZ lens with real 20x optical zoom — and it chooses the right lens for the moment instead of digitally cropping a wide shot into a blurry close-up. The far side sees faces, not a postage stamp of the room.

Question 5

Can a Zoom Room also run Microsoft Teams?

Accepted Answer

Not natively — a Zoom Room is a Zoom device, and we say so before you buy. The honest exception is the A25 focus-room bar, which supports both Zoom and Teams. For everything else, Teams guests join through the BYOD path — their laptop, your room's camera and microphones — and dedicated Teams rooms live in the Teams device range.

Question 6

How do visiting clients join with their own laptop and platform?

Accepted Answer

Through the BYOD bridge — the BYOD-Extender in the S-kits or a WPP30 wireless pod. The visitor's laptop runs their meeting; the room lends it the camera, microphones and screen. We include the right bridge on the quotation whenever the guest question gets a yes.

Question 7

We have an older ZVC500 or ZVC830 room. Keep it or replace it?

Accepted Answer

Keep it while it serves — the first ZVC generation keeps working and we support it. Replace when the room's needs outgrow it: bigger meetings, presenter tracking, ceiling microphones. The move to an S-kit reuses the display, the mounts and usually the cabling, so the upgrade is a swap, not a rebuild. WhatsApp the kit name for an honest keep-or-move answer.

Question 8

Who manages the rooms after installation, and what about the admin passwords?

Accepted Answer

Zoom Device Management shows every room's health, firmware and settings from one dashboard. And the classic pain — nobody knowing the room's admin password a year later — is designed out: our handover includes the documented credentials, the ZDM enrolment, and a named person who knows where everything is written down.

Question 9

Do these systems fit into a professional AV installation?

Accepted Answer

Yes — that is the S90's territory: AVHub processing up to nine cameras, VCM38 ceiling microphones keeping tables clean, and NDI and Dante compatibility on the SmartVision 80 so the system speaks the integrator's language. We quote alongside AV integrators regularly; send the design and we fit the Zoom Rooms layer into it.

Question 10

What does a Zoom Room cost in Dubai?

Accepted Answer

Rooms are quoted complete — hardware, installation, sign-in and enrolment as one figure — because a hardware price without the working room is only part of the answer. WhatsApp the room size and seat count; the complete AED quotation comes back within 30 minutes, indicative only.

Question 11

Should we wait for the fourth-generation kits?

Accepted Answer

Only if your specific kit's new version is genuinely imminent — and we tell you that on the quotation, not after delivery. The current generation is fully supported, peripheral-compatible and meeting daily in thousands of rooms; a room needed this quarter should not wait for a spec sheet. Honest timing advice comes free with the quote.
