Yealink UH38 Dubai

Yealink UH38 Dubai

Your laptop call sounds fine until the office fills up. Someone is talking two desks away, the HVAC is running above you, and voices from the meeting room are carrying through the glass partition. The microphone on a basic USB headset picks up more of that room than you want.

The Yealink UH38 is built for that kind of desk. Its dual-microphone design works with Yealink Acoustic Shield technology to reduce surrounding noise around your voice during calls. Microsoft Teams-certified versions are available, along with UC versions for organisations using other softphones and calling platforms.

Connection is one of the UH38’s useful differences. You can use USB for your main PC connection, while supported Dual battery versions also provide Bluetooth 5.1 with up to 10 metres of wireless range. That means a user can stay connected to a computer at the desk and handle a second Bluetooth device without changing headsets.

Choose carefully between the versions. UH38 Dual models use two 35 mm ear speakers and include a rechargeable 200 mAh battery for Bluetooth operation. The Dual version provides up to 7 hours of talk time, or up to 9 hours with the busylight switched off. UH38 Mono models keep one ear open and do not include the built-in battery. USB-A and USB-C options are available depending on the workstation.

A 360-degree busylight shows colleagues when you’re on a call, while the 320-degree microphone boom can be raised to mute. Dynamic EQ also changes the audio profile between calls and music.

Yealink UH38 UAE supply is available from Dubai for offices in Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah and all 7 emirates.

Description

Yealink UH38 USB & Bluetooth Teams Headset Dubai

It’s 10:30 in a Dubai office and three people around you are already on calls. The ceiling AC is running hard, somebody is talking through a glass partition, and your laptop microphone is catching more of the room than your voice. You don’t need another oversized wireless headset sitting on a charging dock. You need something you can plug into the PC, wear for a working day, and trust when a Teams call starts without warning.

That’s where the Yealink UH38 fits. It’s a professional USB headset with dual-microphone noise reduction, Yealink Acoustic Shield technology, Microsoft Teams-certified variants, a visible 360-degree busylight and separate Mono and Dual configurations. The Dual battery model adds Bluetooth 5.1, so the same headset can stay attached to your computer by USB while also connecting to a second Bluetooth device. For companies replacing basic call-centre headsets across JLT, DIFC, Business Bay or DMCC, the UH38 sits between a simple wired headset and a full wireless desk system.

UH38 Mono or Dual? Check This Before Ordering

This is the part that causes wrong orders. The Yealink UH38 is not one fixed headset with one specification. Mono and Dual versions are built differently, and the battery specification is not shared between them.

Version Ear Style Battery / Bluetooth Typical User
UH38 Mono Single ear No built-in battery Reception, service desk, staff who need to hear the room
UH38 Dual Two ear 200 mAh battery with Bluetooth 5.1 Sales, finance, support and users taking longer online calls

Ordering warning

Do not order the Mono version expecting the same battery-powered Bluetooth operation as the Dual model. The Mono UH38 is listed without a built-in battery. If Bluetooth use away from the USB cable is part of the requirement, confirm the exact UH38 Dual battery SKU before purchase.

USB at the Desk, Bluetooth When You Need It

A lot of Dubai users don’t actually need a fully wireless headset. They sit at the same desk for most of the day and want a stable USB connection to Teams, Zoom, a browser softphone or a CRM dialler. The UH38 handles that job directly. Depending on the ordered SKU, USB-A and USB-C connection options are available for standard desktops, laptops and newer USB-C workstations.

The UH38 Dual battery version adds Bluetooth 5.1 with a documented wireless range of up to 10 metres. In a normal office that’s enough to stand up, reach a nearby cabinet, check a printer or move around a private office while remaining connected to the paired Bluetooth device. It isn’t intended as a long-range DECT headset for walking across an entire floor.

That difference matters. If the user spends the whole day moving between meeting rooms, reception and back office areas, look at the wider Yealink headset range in Dubai and choose a wireless model designed around mobility. If the job is mostly desk-based with occasional Bluetooth use, the UH38 Dual makes more sense without putting another base station on the desk.

Dual Microphones and Acoustic Shield in a Real Office

Two microphones working on the outgoing voice

The UH38 uses a dual-microphone noise-cancelling design with Yealink Acoustic Shield technology. The purpose is simple: keep the speaker’s voice forward while reducing surrounding office sound reaching the far side of the call. Useful when adjacent desks are occupied or conversation carries through glass office partitions.

Think about a sales floor at 3 PM. One colleague is on a customer call, another is discussing an invoice, and the HVAC diffuser above the desk is producing a constant low background sound. The headset cannot make the physical office silent. What it can do is reduce how much of that background is sent with your voice to the person on the other end.

The microphone frequency response is 100 Hz to 14 kHz, aimed at speech rather than full-range music capture. The boom rotates through 320 degrees, so it can be positioned on the preferred side and moved away when not required. Raising the microphone boom also gives the user a quick physical mute action. No hunting for the mute button while somebody is standing beside the desk asking a question.

The 360-Degree Busylight Is More Useful Than It Looks

Visible from around the desk

The UH38 includes a 360-degree busylight that gives nearby colleagues a clear visual indication when the wearer is engaged in a call. In open offices, support areas and shared service desks, that can prevent interruptions before they happen.

This becomes especially useful in glass-partition offices where people can see you but can’t tell whether you’re listening to music, waiting for a call to connect or already speaking with a customer. A visible call indicator gives the answer without hand signals through the glass.

The light can work automatically with call status and can also be controlled manually. For teams handling customer calls, finance conversations or remote interviews, it’s a small feature that changes desk behaviour quickly. People learn that red means don’t interrupt.

Call Audio and Music Don’t Need the Same Sound Profile

The 35 mm speakers cover a 20 Hz to 20 kHz frequency range. More interesting is Dynamic EQ. The headset changes its audio profile depending on whether the user is handling voice communication or listening to music. Calls need speech clarity. Music needs a wider tonal balance. Those are different jobs.

For somebody working through a queue of Teams calls and then switching to recorded training, a webinar or background music between meetings, this happens without asking the user to change an equaliser every time. ActiveProtection is also included for acoustic protection during headset use.

Microsoft Teams Version or UC Version?

Microsoft Teams Certified ✓
UC Version ✓
USB-A Options ✓
USB-C Options ✓
Bluetooth 5.1 on Dual Battery Model ✓

If Microsoft Teams is the company standard, order the Teams-certified UH38 variant. The Teams version is designed around the Teams calling workflow and gives staff a headset intended for that platform rather than a generic audio device added later.

UC variants are available for organisations using other computer calling applications. The practical rule is simple: match the headset SKU to the application and physical USB connector used on the workstation. A company rolling out 80 headsets across two offices should settle those two details before the purchase order is raised.

For desks where the headset will be used alongside a physical SIP phone, compatibility should be checked against the exact phone and connection method before ordering. Yealink Dubai also supplies Yealink IP phones for UAE offices, so headset and phone combinations can be specified together rather than treated as two unrelated purchases.

Where the UH38 Fits — and Where It Doesn’t

For office staff taking regular computer calls, the UH38 is a sensible fit. Sales teams. Customer service. Finance. Procurement. Recruitment. Staff working from shared desks. The headset gives them USB reliability at the workstation, a proper boom microphone and clear call-state controls without the extra hardware that comes with a full wireless base system.

Not the right fit?

If the user needs to walk 30 or 50 metres away from the desk during calls, the UH38 is not the right choice. Its documented Bluetooth range is up to 10 metres on the Dual battery version. Choose a headset designed for longer-range wireless use. And if the user only needs a basic USB headset with no Bluetooth requirement, a simpler wired model may be enough.

Desk Phones, PABX Systems and Etisalat / du — What Actually Connects

The UH38 is a headset, not a SIP endpoint. It does not register directly to an office PABX, take an extension number, or connect straight to an Etisalat or du SIP trunk. The connection is normally to the user’s computer by USB, with the calling platform running on that computer.

That works well for offices where calls are handled through Microsoft Teams, browser-based contact-centre software, CRM diallers or a desktop softphone connected back to the company PABX. If your 3CX, Yeastar, Grandstream or other phone system presents the extension through a PC application, the UH38 works at the audio-device layer — the PABX handles the call while the headset handles microphone and speaker audio.

Physical desk phones need a separate check. The UH38 is not an RJ9 handset headset, so don’t assume it plugs into the dedicated headset socket found on every desk phone. A phone with a supported USB headset interface may be suitable, but compatibility depends on the exact phone model and USB implementation.

Using a physical desk phone?

Send us the desk-phone model before ordering. We will match the headset to the actual connection available rather than assuming USB, Bluetooth or RJ9 compatibility. This matters on mixed estates where older reception phones sit beside newer USB-capable Yealink handsets.

What Comes With the Yealink UH38

Package contents vary with the exact Mono/Dual, Teams/UC and USB connector SKU ordered. The core package is the UH38 headset with its inline control and USB connection, together with the standard documentation supplied for that version.

For project orders, we specify the SKU on the quotation rather than writing only “UH38.” That avoids receiving 30 USB-A units for a new laptop rollout where every workstation has moved to USB-C, or ordering Mono when the team expected the battery-equipped Dual version.

Not included — check before ordering

A desk-phone RJ9 adaptor, DECT base station and long-range wireless base are not part of the standard UH38 setup. If the headset must connect to a physical desk phone, tell us the phone model first. For USB-C-only laptops, also specify USB-C on the quotation rather than assuming the connector.

One Headset Rollout, Four Details to Get Right

A five-headset order is easy to correct. A 100-headset order isn’t. Before a company-wide deployment in Dubai or Abu Dhabi, we normally pin down four things: Mono or Dual, Teams or UC, USB-A or USB-C, and whether Bluetooth away from the USB cable is actually required.

1

Mono or Dual — Mono keeps one ear open to reception desks and nearby staff. Dual covers both ears for users spending more of the day in online calls.

2

Teams or UC — Choose the Teams-certified variant where Microsoft Teams is the company calling platform. UC versions cover other desktop calling workflows.

3

USB-A or USB-C — Check the actual laptop fleet. New notebooks in DIFC and DMCC offices are increasingly USB-C heavy, while desktop PCs commonly retain USB-A.

4

Bluetooth requirement — If staff expect to leave the USB cable behind and keep talking, specify the Dual battery version. Its documented Bluetooth range is up to 10 metres.

Who We Usually Specify the UH38 For

A recruitment company with 25 consultants in Business Bay is a typical UH38 job. Calls are frequent, desks are close together, and staff need a proper boom microphone without turning every desk into a wireless-headset charging station. Dual makes sense for recruiters taking long interviews. Mono often makes more sense at reception or for team supervisors who still need to hear somebody speaking beside them.

The same logic applies to customer-service teams in JLT, insurance operations in DIFC and back-office staff in DMCC. Glass partitions don’t stop voices from carrying. Neither does an HVAC system sitting directly above six desks. Acoustic Shield and the dual-microphone arrangement are there to reduce what the person on the far side hears, not to pretend the office itself has gone quiet.

For larger rollouts, consistency matters more than giving every department the same headset. Reception may need Mono. Sales may want Dual battery models. A training team may be fine with a simpler wired option. We can split the quantities by job rather than forcing one specification across the whole company.

Related Yealink Headsets and Accessories

The UH38 isn’t the only sensible choice for every desk. These are the products we normally compare or bundle around it:

Yealink UH34 Lite — a simpler wired USB option for larger seat counts where Bluetooth isn’t required. See the Yealink headset range for wired models.

Yealink UH35 / UH37 — worth comparing when the requirement is a current wired office headset without the UH38 Dual battery use case. Available through our USB office headset selection.

Yealink BH70 — a Bluetooth-first alternative for staff who don’t want to remain physically attached to the PC. Compare it in the Yealink Bluetooth headset range.

Yealink BH74 — suited to users putting more emphasis on wireless mobility during the day. It sits in the same professional headset category.

Yealink BH76 / BH76 Plus — another option when the brief moves away from USB-first working and towards a Bluetooth headset. Browse the Yealink headset Dubai range.

Yealink WH64 — the better conversation when users need substantially more freedom around the desk than the UH38’s up-to-10-metre Bluetooth range provides. Compare wireless office options under Yealink business headsets.

Yealink IP Phones — if the project includes both new desk phones and headsets, specify the two together so the physical connection is checked before delivery. See our Yealink IP phone range.

Yealink UH38 UAE Supply — Dubai and Abu Dhabi

Yealink UH38 UAE project supply covers Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, Ajman, Ras Al Khaimah, Fujairah and Umm Al Quwain. For multi-floor deployments, quantities can be separated by Mono/Dual and USB-A/USB-C requirements before dispatch so every department receives the right version.

Abu Dhabi offices can order the same project quantities as Dubai customers, including mixed-SKU deployments for reception, sales, customer service and management teams. Installation support across the UAE includes checking the workstation connection and calling setup rather than dropping boxes at desks and leaving staff to work out which connector was ordered.

UH38 Export from Dubai — Africa and MEA Projects

Enterprise procurement teams and IT resellers can source Yealink UH38 project quantities from Dubai for deployments in South Africa, Ghana, Nigeria, Kenya and Egypt. Mixed orders can include Mono and Dual variants where different departments have different call patterns.

FOB Dubai quotations are available for bulk headset orders, with the exact USB connector and Teams/UC version recorded against each line item. That is particularly useful on 50-, 100- or 500-seat deployments where one incorrect connector choice creates a large return problem.

Orders can also be consolidated with other Yealink desk equipment for reseller and corporate projects shipping from the UAE. Send the destination, quantity and required UH38 variants on WhatsApp so the quotation reflects the actual mix rather than one generic SKU.

Project pricing is prepared from Dubai, with export supply handled on an FOB Dubai basis where required.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does the Yealink UH38 work with a physical Yealink desk phone?

It depends on the phone model and available headset connection. The UH38 is primarily a USB computer headset and is not an RJ9 headset. If a physical desk phone is part of the setup, send us the exact model before ordering and we will check the connection required.

Can I walk around the office on Bluetooth with the UH38?

The UH38 Dual battery version supports Bluetooth 5.1 with a documented range of up to 10 metres. That covers movement around a desk or private office, not roaming across an entire office floor. For 30- or 50-metre movement, choose a headset designed for longer-range wireless use.

Does the UH38 Mono have the same Bluetooth battery as the Dual version?

No. The UH38 Mono is listed without a built-in battery. The UH38 Dual battery model has a 200 mAh rechargeable battery and provides up to 7 hours of talk time, or up to 9 hours with the busylight switched off. Confirm the exact SKU if battery-powered Bluetooth use is required.

Will the UH38 work for our Etisalat or du office phone system?

If the call is presented through a computer softphone, Teams client, browser dialler or other desktop application, the UH38 works as the computer’s USB audio device. It does not register directly to an Etisalat or du SIP service. Physical desk-phone use depends on the exact phone’s headset interface.

Should our Dubai office order UH38 Mono or Dual?

Mono is useful where staff need one ear open — reception, front desk or supervisors speaking with nearby colleagues. Dual covers both ears and is normally the better fit for sales, recruitment, finance and customer-service staff spending longer periods in online calls. The Dual battery version also adds Bluetooth operation.

Is the Yealink UH38 in stock in Dubai for project quantities?
