This is the part that causes wrong orders. The Yealink UH38 is not one fixed headset with one specification. Mono and Dual versions are built differently, and the battery specification is not shared between them.

Ordering warning
Do not order the Mono version expecting the same battery-powered Bluetooth operation as the Dual model. The Mono UH38 is listed without a built-in battery. If Bluetooth use away from the USB cable is part of the requirement, confirm the exact UH38 Dual battery SKU before purchase.

Where the UH38 Fits — and Where It Doesn’t
For office staff taking regular computer calls, the UH38 is a sensible fit. Sales teams. Customer service. Finance. Procurement. Recruitment. Staff working from shared desks. Not the right fit?
If the user needs to walk 30 or 50 metres away from the desk during calls, the UH38 is not the right choice. Its documented Bluetooth range is up to 10 metres on the Dual battery version. Choose a headset designed for longer-range wireless use. And if the user only needs a basic USB headset with no Bluetooth requirement, a simpler wired model may be enough.
Desk Phones, PABX Systems and Etisalat / du — What Actually Connects
The UH38 is a headset, not a SIP endpoint. It does not register directly to an office PABX, take an extension number, or connect straight to an Etisalat or du SIP trunk. The connection is normally to the user’s computer by USB, with the calling platform running on that computer.
That works well for offices where calls are handled through Microsoft Teams, browser-based contact-centre software, CRM diallers or a desktop softphone connected back to the company PABX. If your 3CX, Yeastar, Grandstream or other phone system presents the extension through a PC application, the UH38 works at the audio-device layer — the PABX handles the call while the headset handles microphone and speaker audio.
Physical desk phones need a separate check. The UH38 is not an RJ9 handset headset, so don’t assume it plugs into the dedicated headset socket found on every desk phone. A phone with a supported USB headset interface may be suitable, but compatibility depends on the exact phone model and USB implementation.

Who We Usually Specify the UH38 For
