Description
Yealink SP96 USB Bluetooth Speakerphone Dubai
Six people are around a meeting table in a JLT office. The laptop sits beside one person, the AC is running directly overhead, and somebody at the far end keeps leaning forward every time they speak. The remote side hears the person nearest the laptop perfectly. Everyone else sounds like they’re sitting across the room. Because they are.
Put the Yealink SP96 in the middle of that table instead. Its 6-microphone system picks up voices from up to 5 metres around the speakerphone, while a 65 mm speaker handles the far-end audio. No permanent room system. No microphones routed underneath the table. Connect by USB or Bluetooth and use the meeting application already running on the laptop.

Start With the Table, Not the Speakerphone
The SP96 makes the most sense when a laptop meeting has outgrown the laptop’s own microphone and speaker but the room doesn’t need a fixed conference-phone installation. Think manager offices, project rooms, temporary meeting spaces, hotel meeting suites and shared tables where people bring their own laptops.
Its microphone pickup is rated up to 5 metres. That gives you far more placement freedom than putting a notebook computer at one end of the table and hoping everybody speaks towards it. Place the SP96 centrally. In a glass-partition office in DIFC or DMCC, that also means you aren’t turning the laptop around every time somebody on the opposite side starts talking.
| Meeting Setup | SP96 Fit | Practical Approach |
|---|---|---|
| Personal office / 2–3 people | Single SP96 | Place beside or between the users |
| Small meeting table | Single SP96 | Central table placement |
| Longer meeting table | 2 × SP96 | Wireless daisy chain, one unit toward each end |
| Fixed large boardroom | Consider dedicated room audio | Separate microphones and speakers may suit the room better |
Not the right fit?
Don’t buy a portable speakerphone to solve a permanently installed 16-seat boardroom with long cable runs, fixed displays and ceiling audio requirements. That room needs a designed conferencing system. Browse our Yealink video conferencing systems for fixed-room options.
Two SP96 Units, No Cable Between Them
This is the part that matters on longer tables. The SP96 supports wireless daisy chaining of up to 2 units. Put one toward each side of the meeting area and link them without running an audio cable down the middle of the table.
Wireless Daisy Chain — Up to 2 Devices
Two SP96 speakerphones can operate together for a wider meeting-table layout. Useful in rooms where a single central speakerphone leaves people at one end feeling noticeably farther from the audio. No interconnecting audio cable across the table.
For Dubai offices that reconfigure meeting rooms with movable tables, that’s particularly useful. Split the room today, join the tables tomorrow, move the equipment to a client workshop next week. The speakerphones aren’t tied to a floor box or a permanent installation.
Six Microphones for the Voices. AI Noise Cancellation for Everything Else.
The SP96 uses 6 microphones with beamforming and an all-round pickup range of up to 5 metres. The aim is simple: voices around the table should reach the call without everybody turning toward one microphone.
Then there’s the room itself. Dubai meeting rooms aren’t silent test chambers. Ceiling HVAC runs most of the year. Glass partitions let conversation bleed in from the corridor. Keyboards, chair movement and people entering the room add another layer. The SP96 uses AI Noise Cancellation to reduce non-speech noise before it reaches the far side.
Reverberation Cancellation
Noise and room echo are different problems. The SP96 includes Reverberation Cancellation as well as Acoustic Echo Cancellation. That’s relevant in meeting spaces with hard glass, tiled floors and bare walls where a person’s own voice can bounce around the room.
Full-duplex audio handles another common annoyance: two people speaking at once. The audio path remains open in both directions, so normal conversation doesn’t have to become a strict one-person-at-a-time exchange.
The 65 mm Speaker Isn’t Just for Conference Calls
Inside the SP96 is a 65 mm speaker with a specified frequency range of 50 Hz to 20 kHz. Yealink also gives it 48 kHz speaker bandwidth in both music and speech modes, plus virtual bass processing. So when the meeting ends, the device doesn’t have to become dead equipment sitting on the table.
Use it for a presentation video, a recorded briefing or background audio between sessions. Battery life is rated up to 35 hours for music playback and up to 26 hours for calls. Standby is rated at 230 hours from the built-in 6000 mAh battery.
USB at One Meeting. Bluetooth at the Next.
There are three practical connection routes: direct USB cable, Bluetooth 5.3, or the BT51-C dongle configuration. That covers fixed workstations, laptops and mobile devices without committing the SP96 to one desk.
Bluetooth wireless range is rated up to 30 metres in suitable conditions. The SP96 can maintain 2 simultaneous Bluetooth connections and remember up to 8 paired devices. In a shared management office, for example, one person can have a phone connected while the meeting laptop remains paired.

100+ Platforms & OS ✓
Yealink lists compatibility with more than 100 platforms and operating systems. That makes the SP96 useful when the same room sees different meeting apps during the week. The computer runs the call; the SP96 supplies the room audio. For organisations standardised around Microsoft environments, see our Yealink Microsoft Teams devices.

Managing SP96 Units Across More Than One Office
One SP96 is easy to look after. Twenty spread between Dubai and Abu Dhabi is a different job. Yealink supports the SP96 through Yealink USB Connect on a PC and through Yealink Management Cloud Service, giving IT teams a defined management route rather than treating every speakerphone as an unmanaged accessory.
For buyers comparing portable room audio, see the full Yealink Speakerphones range. If your requirement is a dedicated table conference device rather than a USB/Bluetooth peripheral, our Yealink conference phones cover that separate use case.
Using the SP96 With Teams, Zoom and Browser Meetings
The SP96 doesn’t force the meeting room onto one calling platform. The laptop remains the meeting device. Connect the speakerphone, select it as the microphone and speaker, then run Microsoft Teams, Zoom, Google Meet, Webex or another supported PC meeting application as normal.
That makes sense in Dubai offices where internal meetings may run on Microsoft Teams while a client sends a Zoom or Google Meet invitation later the same day. Nobody has to reconfigure the room. The call stays on the laptop and the SP96 handles the audio around the table.
For organisations building a wider Microsoft estate, the SP96 can sit alongside Yealink Microsoft Teams devices used in fixed meeting rooms and individual workspaces. The important distinction is that this is still a portable peripheral, not a standalone Teams Room appliance.
Can the Yealink SP96 Work With an Office PABX?
Yes, when the PABX call is running through a computer softphone. No, the SP96 doesn’t register directly to a SIP server like an IP conference phone.
For example, if your Dubai office uses a desktop softphone connected to 3CX, a hosted PBX or another PC-based calling application, the SP96 can act as that computer’s microphone and speaker through USB or Bluetooth. The PABX connection remains on the computer. This is useful for teams that make regular voice calls from a laptop but want several people around the table to join the conversation.
If you need the meeting-table device itself to carry an extension, dial telephone numbers without a laptop and register to a SIP account supplied through your office telephony setup, use a dedicated Yealink conference phone instead. We’ll separate these two requirements before quoting so you don’t buy a USB speakerphone for a direct-SIP job.
Etisalat / du office calling
The SP96 doesn’t take an Etisalat or du SIP account directly. If your company voice service is presented through a PC softphone, the SP96 can provide the microphone and loudspeaker for that application. For direct SIP registration, choose an IP conference phone.
What’s in the Box — Check the SP96 Version Before Ordering
Yealink lists the SP96 in USB-C/A configurations, including a standard version and a configuration supplied with a Bluetooth dongle. The speakerphone itself is the same SP96 model. What changes is the connection accessory supplied with the package.
| Configuration | Typical Requirement |
|---|---|
| SP96 USB-C/A | USB connection or direct Bluetooth connection to a compatible computer/mobile device |
| SP96 with Dongle USB-C/A | PC deployments where the supplied USB Bluetooth dongle is required |
Not included — order separately if needed
A second SP96 for wireless daisy chaining, room display, laptop, dedicated video camera and fixed conference-room installation hardware aren’t part of a standard speakerphone package. Tell us how many people use the table and whether the PC needs a dongle before ordering.
One Speakerphone or Two?
Start with the physical table. A centrally placed SP96 has an all-round pickup specification of up to 5 metres. In a normal manager’s office or compact meeting area, one unit is usually the cleaner setup.
A longer table changes the equation. Two SP96 units can be paired wirelessly, letting you position audio closer to people sitting toward both ends rather than expecting one device to do all the work from the middle. Yealink positions the two-device arrangement for meetings of up to 20 participants.
Don’t use the headcount alone, though. Twenty people packed around a short training table is different from twelve people spread over a long DIFC boardroom. Table length, seating pattern, HVAC position and glass reflections all affect where the units should sit.
When two SP96 units still aren’t enough
A large fixed boardroom with ceiling microphones, multiple displays or a permanently installed camera should be designed as a room system. A portable speakerphone remains portable audio; it doesn’t replace a properly specified video conferencing installation.
Battery Life for Rooms That Don’t Have Power at the Table
Not every meeting table in Dubai has a floor box underneath it. We’ve seen temporary project rooms where the closest socket is against the wall and glass meeting rooms where adding another cable spoils the whole point of the clean fit-out.
The SP96 carries a 6000 mAh battery with up to 26 hours of call time, up to 35 hours of music playback and up to 230 hours standby under Yealink’s stated conditions. Charge it, move it to the room, hold the meeting and take it away again. For shared equipment that moves between departments, that freedom is more useful than another permanent cable on the table.
Managing a Fleet of SP96 Speakerphones
Buying one speakerphone for the MD’s office doesn’t create much work for IT. Supplying units across Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Sharjah does. Yealink supports SP96 management through Yealink USB Connect and the Yealink Management Cloud Service, giving IT teams a common management route for supported USB devices.
YMCS is designed for cloud-based device deployment, monitoring and troubleshooting across distributed workplaces. That matters when speakerphones are part of a larger Yealink estate rather than isolated accessories sitting on desks. It also gives procurement teams a sensible reason to keep portable audio inside the same device family as their meeting-room hardware.

Related Yealink Products for the Same Workspace
The right bundle depends on whether the job is portable audio, personal audio or a permanently equipped room. These are the products and categories we normally check around an SP96 requirement:
1. Yealink SP92 — another portable speakerphone option when the requirement is smaller or more individual.
2. Yealink CP900 — useful when an existing CP900 deployment needs additional matching portable audio units.
3. Yealink CP965 — look here when the table needs a dedicated IP conference phone rather than a laptop-connected peripheral.
4. Yealink BH74 — personal Bluetooth audio for staff who need privacy instead of open-table sound.
5. Yealink BH76 — individual headset use for managers, hybrid workers and people moving between calls and offices.
6. Yealink Microsoft Teams room devices — for spaces that need one-touch room meetings without depending on somebody’s laptop.
7. Yealink MeetingBar systems — add fixed camera, microphone and speaker hardware when the room has moved beyond portable audio.
Where the SP96 Fits in a Dubai Office
Consultancies and project teams are an obvious fit. A meeting may happen in a six-seat room at 10AM, move to a client’s office after lunch and finish from a hotel meeting suite. The SP96 goes in the laptop bag rather than staying screwed to one room.
It’s also useful in flexible offices around DMCC, Business Bay and JLT where meeting rooms don’t all carry fixed AV equipment. Place the speakerphone on the table when the room is booked, connect it to the user’s laptop and remove it afterwards. No ghost piece of equipment sitting unused in a room for the rest of the week.
For legal, finance and executive teams in DIFC, the attraction is slightly different: several people can join the same laptop call without huddling around its microphone. The 5 m pickup area and full-duplex audio turn the laptop into a more practical group-call setup while keeping the room simple.
Yealink SP96 UAE Supply — Dubai and Abu Dhabi
Yealink SP96 UAE supply is available for single units, department rollouts and multi-office projects. We cover Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, Ajman, Ras Al Khaimah, Fujairah and Umm Al Quwain.
For larger deployments, send the number of users, office locations and whether you need the dongle configuration. We can also check whether each space should use one SP96, two wirelessly linked units or a fixed room system instead. Installation and configuration support is available across all 7 UAE emirates.
SP96 Export From Dubai — Africa, GCC and MEA Projects
Project quantities of the Yealink SP96 can ship from Dubai to IT resellers, workplace technology companies and system integrators serving Africa and the wider Middle East. We handle mixed Yealink orders as well, so speakerphones can travel with headsets, conference phones and room equipment rather than as separate small shipments.
FOB Dubai pricing is available for quantity orders. Send the required SP96 configuration, quantity and destination so the correct packing and commercial documents can be prepared.
GCC and South Asia project shipments are also handled from Dubai. For multi-site buyers, quantities can be grouped by deployment rather than purchased one unit at a time.

Frequently Asked Questions
Will one SP96 pick up everyone around our meeting table?
Yealink specifies up to 5 metres of all-round voice pickup from the 6-microphone system. For a compact table, place one unit centrally. For a longer table where people sit well apart, two SP96 units can be linked wirelessly so audio sits closer to both ends.
Can we connect two Yealink SP96 speakerphones together?
Yes. The SP96 supports wireless daisy chaining of up to 2 units. That gives a longer meeting table two audio positions without running an interconnecting cable down the middle. Yealink positions the paired setup for meetings of up to 20 participants.
Does the SP96 work with Microsoft Teams and Zoom?
Yes, as a connected USB or Bluetooth speakerphone. Your computer runs Teams, Zoom or another supported meeting application, while the SP96 provides the microphone and speaker. Yealink states compatibility with more than 100 platforms and operating systems.
Can the SP96 connect directly to our Etisalat or du office SIP account?
No. The SP96 is a USB/Bluetooth speakerphone rather than a standalone SIP conference phone. It can handle the audio for a computer softphone connected to your office PABX, but direct SIP registration requires a dedicated IP conference phone such as a model from the Yealink conference-phone range.
How long does the SP96 battery last if our meeting table has no power socket?
Yealink rates the 6000 mAh battery for up to 26 hours of call time, up to 35 hours of music playback and up to 230 hours standby. Actual runtime varies with connection type, volume and usage, but it is designed to work away from permanent table power.
