Yealink RoomPanel E2 Plus E2 Dubai

Yealink RoomPanel E2 Dubai

Your meeting room says “occupied” on the calendar, but nobody is inside. Another team is standing outside a glass partition in JLT trying to work out whether the room is actually free. That’s the problem a scheduling panel is supposed to fix.

The Yealink RoomPanel E2 and RoomPanel Plus E2 sit outside the meeting room and show room status, upcoming bookings and availability at the door. Staff can check the schedule before walking in, reserve an available room from the panel and use supported check-in workflows to reduce ghost bookings.

RoomPanel E2 uses an 8-inch touchscreen and is the practical fit for most Dubai offices. Full-RGB side status lights make room availability visible from down the corridor, even when the panel is mounted on glass. It runs Android 13 and supports Microsoft Teams and Zoom room scheduling deployments.

RoomPanel Plus E2 moves to a larger-format display for offices where the booking panel needs to be read from further away. It also runs Android 13 and adds MDEP support for organisations managing a larger Microsoft Teams device estate.

The earlier RoomPanel Plus remains part of the family and is useful for existing deployments, but new projects should compare it carefully against the newer E2 hardware and current certification lifecycle.

Power can be delivered over Ethernet, which keeps installations clean outside DIFC, DMCC and Business Bay meeting rooms where there usually isn’t a spare power socket beside the door.

Yealink RoomPanel E2 UAE supply and installation is available across Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah and all 7 UAE emirates. Suitable for single meeting rooms, complete office fit-outs and multi-floor room-booking projects.

Description

Yealink RoomPanel E2 Plus E2 Meeting Room Booking Panel Dubai

Room 4B is booked from 10:00 to 11:00. The calendar says occupied. The lights outside the room say nothing because there isn’t a scheduling panel. At 10:20, somebody from finance looks through the glass partition and discovers the room has been empty the whole time. Meanwhile another team is taking a client call at an open desk. That happens every day in Dubai offices with shared meeting rooms.

A room booking screen fixes the visibility problem at the door. Staff can see whether the room is free, check the next reservation and, on supported scheduling platforms, reserve an available room without walking back to a laptop. The Yealink RoomPanel E2 family is built for exactly this job. Mount it beside the meeting-room entrance, connect network and power, then tie it to the organisation’s room calendar.

For a JLT office with 6 meeting rooms, a DIFC floor with 18 rooms or a Business Bay fit-out where every partition is glass, the panel becomes the physical front end of the booking system. The current choice is mainly between RoomPanel E2 and RoomPanel Plus E2. The earlier RoomPanel Plus still matters where an existing estate uses that hardware, but Yealink identifies Plus E2 as its replacement for new deployments.

RoomPanel E2, Plus or Plus E2 — Which One Are You Buying?

The names are close enough to create ordering mistakes. They aren’t the same panel. For a fresh installation, the two E2 models are the current-generation choices. The original RoomPanel Plus is mainly relevant when matching or extending an existing installation.

Model Platform / OS Where It Fits
RoomPanel E2 Android 13 · Microsoft Teams and Zoom room scheduling · 8-inch display Standard meeting-room entrances, huddle rooms and multi-room office floors
RoomPanel Plus Android 11 · 10.1-inch multi-touch display · earlier Plus generation Existing RoomPanel Plus estates where matching installed hardware matters
RoomPanel Plus E2 Android 13 · MDEP · Microsoft Teams scheduling support New projects needing a larger panel format and current E2 platform

Buying for a new office?

Start with RoomPanel E2 for a normal room entrance. Move to RoomPanel Plus E2 where the scheduling display needs more visual presence or where your Microsoft device standard calls for the E2 Plus platform. We wouldn’t specify the older RoomPanel Plus into a new 2026 project unless there is a clear compatibility reason.

The Status Light Matters More Than It Looks

Most people don’t walk up to a booking panel and read it first. They look down the corridor. RoomPanel E2 and Plus E2 use full-RGB LED bars along both sides of the unit so room status can be visible before somebody reaches the door. The exact colours depend on the scheduling platform, but the principle is simple: the panel gives the room a visible state.

That makes a difference in Dubai offices built with floor-to-ceiling glass. From 6 or 8 metres away, staff may be able to see people inside the room, but they can’t tell whether those people are finishing a scheduled meeting, using an unreserved room or simply packing up. The booking display gives them the calendar answer before they interrupt anybody.

Glass partition installation

Yealink supplies mounting hardware for installation on surfaces including glass, concrete and wood. RoomPanel E2 is also shown in Yealink room designs with 20° tilt and flush-mount options. That covers the two installation styles we see most often in DMCC and DIFC: flat on the glass beside the door, or angled slightly toward the corridor.

PoE Installation — One Cable at the Meeting-Room Door

Meeting-room entrances rarely have a 230V socket exactly where the booking panel needs to sit. A network outlet above the ceiling is much easier to plan. RoomPanel E2 and Plus E2 support Power over Ethernet as well as DC power, so one Ethernet run can carry network connectivity and electrical power to the unit.

For a 12-room office this matters. Instead of finding 12 nearby wall sockets and hiding 12 power adaptors around glass doors, the installer can bring structured cabling from the communications rack and power each panel from the PoE network infrastructure. Cleaner at the door. Easier for IT to document.

This is why the RoomPanel family sits naturally alongside our room scheduling panels and Yealink Microsoft Teams room systems. On a multi-room fit-out, the scheduling panel should be included in the network and room design before the glass contractor closes the walls — not added after handover with surface trunking.

What the E2 Hardware Actually Includes

The scheduling screen isn’t just a display connected to a calendar. RoomPanel E2 combines Android 13 with Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 5.0, NFC/RFID capability, built-in sensors, microphones and speakers. Plus E2 carries the same listed connectivity set and adds MDEP to its Android 13 platform.

That hardware gives the platform room to support identity, sensor and occupancy workflows where the selected scheduling service permits them. The exact feature presented to the user depends on whether the panel is running Microsoft Teams, Zoom or another supported scheduling environment, so we configure the panel around the customer’s actual calendar platform rather than assuming every deployment behaves identically.

NFC / RFID

Both E2 models include NFC/RFID hardware. That gives supported scheduling applications a physical identity interface at the room door instead of relying only on touchscreen input. Availability depends on the application and tenant configuration.

Room occupancy workflows

Yealink’s scheduling ecosystem can work with room-sensor information for occupancy-based room status and check-in workflows. This is the interesting part for offices fighting ghost bookings: the booking system can use more than somebody’s calendar entry when the selected platform and sensor setup support it.

Microsoft Teams or Zoom — Pick the Scheduling Platform First

RoomPanel E2 is positioned by Yealink for both Microsoft Teams and Zoom Rooms scheduling environments. A Teams office can put the room calendar and availability at the doorway while a Zoom estate can use the same physical scheduling-panel concept around Zoom-managed rooms. The screen layout, status colours and available booking actions can differ by platform.

For Microsoft estates, both RoomPanel E2 and RoomPanel Plus E2 are currently listed under the Microsoft Teams Panels Android certification program with Android 13. That makes the E2 generation the cleaner starting point when an IT team is building a new Teams room estate rather than simply replacing one damaged unit in an older installation.

How Many Panels Do You Need?

Office Setup Panel Plan Suggested Model
1–3 meeting rooms One panel outside each bookable room RoomPanel E2
4–15 meeting rooms One panel per room with consistent PoE cabling and mounting RoomPanel E2 or Plus E2 by visibility requirement
Multi-floor office Panel at every bookable room, grouped under the same room-calendar deployment Standardise on one E2 generation where possible

A scheduling panel does not create the room calendar

If your meeting rooms aren’t already created as bookable resources in Microsoft 365, Zoom or the chosen scheduling service, installing a screen beside the door won’t fix the booking process by itself. The room accounts, calendars and permissions need to be set correctly first. For a 10-room office, we check the 10 room resources before mounting 10 panels — otherwise you end up troubleshooting the calendar after the hardware is already on the glass.

What Happens After the Panel Goes on the Wall?

Mounting the screen is the easy part. The useful work is connecting each panel to the correct room resource, confirming the room name matches the door sign, checking booking permissions and testing what happens when somebody reserves, checks in, cancels or leaves the room unused.

For a single executive meeting room, this takes little planning. A 20-room floor is different. Room names such as “Meeting Room 3”, “Boardroom East” and “Training 2” need to match Microsoft 365 or the chosen scheduling system exactly enough that staff aren’t looking at one name on Outlook and another name at the door. We map that before handover.

1

Room check — Confirm the room resource, calendar licence, entrance surface, network point, PoE availability and preferred mounting angle.

2

Physical installation — Mount the RoomPanel E2 or Plus E2 on glass, wall or suitable door-side surface, then connect PoE or DC power and network access.

3

Booking test — Create a real reservation, confirm it appears on the correct panel, test room status at the door and verify the actions permitted by the customer’s scheduling platform.

Managing 2 Panels Is Easy. Managing 40 Needs a Plan.

The real value of central management shows up when an IT team has panels across several floors or several UAE offices. Nobody wants an engineer walking around DIFC with a ladder just to find out why one doorway screen stopped showing the correct room account.

In Microsoft Teams deployments, certified Teams Panels appear within Microsoft’s device-management environment alongside the organisation’s other managed Teams devices. RoomPanel E2 and RoomPanel Plus E2 are both currently listed by Microsoft as Android 13 Teams Panels, with certification end dates of 15 August 2028. The older RoomPanel Plus is listed on Android 11 with a certification end date of 3 September 2026.

That’s an important purchasing detail in 2026. If you’re replacing one failed RoomPanel Plus in an existing office, matching the installed estate may make sense. If you’re buying 15 panels for a new floor, the E2 generation gives the project a much cleaner current-platform position. Same job at the door. Different lifecycle decision.

Does RoomPanel Connect to Etisalat, du or the Office PABX?

No SIP extension is required. RoomPanel E2 is a scheduling device, not an office telephone and not a video endpoint. It doesn’t need an extension on a Grandstream UCM, 3CX, Yeastar or Avaya PABX just to display room bookings.

What it does need is network connectivity to the scheduling environment being used. In a normal Dubai installation that means the panel joins the corporate LAN over Ethernet or supported Wi-Fi, then reaches the organisation’s Microsoft Teams, Zoom or other configured scheduling service through the office internet connection.

Your Etisalat or du business connection therefore matters as the office network path, not as a telephone service for the panel. If the building IT team has VLANs, proxy rules, restricted outbound access or 802.1X policies, tell us before installation. Much easier than discovering the meeting-room network is isolated after 18 panels are already mounted.

What Comes With the RoomPanel?

The supplied mounting arrangement is designed around door-side installation rather than tabletop use. The E2 models support mounting on common office surfaces including concrete, wood and glass, with adjustable mounting positions depending on the selected bracket arrangement.

Power can come from PoE or a suitable DC supply. For new fit-outs we normally plan PoE. One cable from the network switch to the panel is neater beside a glass meeting-room entrance and gives the IT team one obvious place to check power and connectivity.

Not included — check before ordering

Microsoft 365, Teams Rooms, Zoom or other scheduling licences are not created by buying the panel. A PoE network switch, structured cabling to the door and any customer-specific VLAN work may also sit outside the panel box. For glass installations, confirm the exact fixing position before the office fit-out contractor finishes the partition work.

Related Yealink Hardware for a Complete Room Rollout

A scheduling panel usually arrives as part of a bigger room project. If the room itself still needs video hardware, start with the Yealink video conferencing range. Small and medium meeting rooms can use MeetingBar systems while larger Teams rooms move to separate camera, audio and compute kits.

Microsoft-heavy offices should also check the Yealink Microsoft Teams range. Keeping the room endpoint and the doorway scheduling hardware within the same device family can make procurement and estate documentation much simpler.

MeetingBar A25

Pair the scheduling panel outside the room with a compact video bar inside. See the video conferencing systems section for small-room options.

MeetingBar A40

For a larger shared room where the doorway needs RoomPanel status and the room itself needs native meeting hardware, browse the Teams room systems.

CTP25 Touch Controller

Don’t confuse a room controller with a scheduling panel. CTP25 sits inside the meeting room to control the meeting. RoomPanel sits outside to show and manage the booking. Find controllers under Yealink accessories.

RoomSensor

For projects using occupancy-aware room workflows, discuss sensors alongside the panel rather than adding them later. Related devices sit under Yealink accessories.

RoomCast E2

If staff also need wireless presentation in the room, look at the Wireless Presentation & BYOD range.

RoomPanel Family

For additional doorway schedulers and room-booking hardware, compare the full Room Scheduling Panels category before standardising a multi-floor deployment.

Where RoomPanel Makes the Biggest Difference

Consider a serviced-office floor with 14 meeting rooms. Some rooms seat 4 people, two rooms seat 10, and one boardroom handles client meetings. Staff from different companies use the same corridors. Without doorway status, people check Outlook, walk to the room, look through the glass and then ask reception whether the booking is genuine.

Put one RoomPanel E2 beside every bookable door and the decision moves to the corridor. Free now? Next meeting at 2:30? Bookable for the next 30 minutes? The answers are where the question happens. At the room.

The same logic works in clinics, training centres, universities and multi-department corporate offices. RoomPanel Plus E2 becomes useful where the display needs to stand out more clearly at a busier entrance. Standard E2 is enough for most normal meeting-room doors.

Yealink RoomPanel E2 UAE — Dubai, Abu Dhabi and All Emirates

Yealink RoomPanel E2 UAE projects can be supplied and installed across Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, Ajman, Ras Al Khaimah, Fujairah and Umm Al Quwain. Installation is included with our supplied systems, including physical fitting and panel setup for the agreed room-scheduling environment.

For Abu Dhabi projects, send the room count, office location and platform before ordering. A 4-room office needs a different deployment plan from a 60-room headquarters spread across 3 floors. For Dubai offices in DMCC, DIFC, JLT and Business Bay, also tell us whether the panels are mounting to glass partitions or solid walls so the fixing method is planned before arrival.

RoomPanel E2 Export from Dubai

We supply Yealink RoomPanel E2 and RoomPanel Plus E2 project quantities to system integrators and AV installers in South Africa, Ghana, Tanzania, Nigeria and Ethiopia. Dubai stock can be consolidated with meeting-room cameras, controllers and presentation hardware for a single project shipment.

FOB Dubai quotations are available for reseller and project quantities. Send the required model, quantity and destination so the quote reflects the actual shipment rather than a single-unit retail order.

For multi-site deployments, panels can be ordered as one hardware standard even when the final rooms are spread across several branches. That makes spare holding and future replacements easier for the integrator.

Frequently Asked Questions

Should I buy RoomPanel E2 or RoomPanel Plus E2 for a new office?

RoomPanel E2 is the starting point for most standard meeting-room entrances. Choose RoomPanel Plus E2 where you want the larger-format panel or where your IT standard specifies the Plus E2 hardware and MDEP platform. Both E2 models run Android 13 and are currently Microsoft Teams Panels certified through 15 August 2028.

We already have RoomPanel Plus units. Do we need to replace all of them?

Not automatically. The original RoomPanel Plus is still listed by Microsoft, but its current Teams Panels certification end date is 3 September 2026 and it runs Android 11. For an existing estate, we would first check how many units you have, your platform plan and whether you’re replacing individual panels or planning a full refresh.

Can RoomPanel E2 stop people from ghost-booking meeting rooms?

It can support the room-booking and check-in workflows provided by the scheduling platform, including workflows designed to release rooms when reservations aren’t confirmed. The exact behaviour depends on Microsoft Teams, Zoom or the scheduling service configured for your organisation. We test the customer’s actual workflow during setup rather than assuming every tenant uses the same booking rules.

Will it work if our office internet is from Etisalat or du?

Yes, provided the corporate network allows the panel to reach the scheduling platform. RoomPanel E2 doesn’t register to an Etisalat or du phone line and doesn’t need a SIP extension. It connects through your office network. If your IT team uses restricted VLANs, proxy rules or network authentication, provide those requirements before installation.

Can you mount the RoomPanel on our glass meeting-room walls?

Yes. The E2 models support installation on surfaces including glass, wood and concrete, with adjustable mounting arrangements. Glass mounting is common in JLT, DMCC, DIFC and Business Bay offices. We confirm the door position, viewing angle and cable path before fitting so the panel doesn’t end up hidden behind a door frame or mounted on the wrong side of the glass.

Do you keep RoomPanel E2 and Plus E2 in stock in Dubai?

Dubai stock is available for RoomPanel E2 and RoomPanel Plus E2, subject to project quantity at the time of order. Same-day quotes are available on WhatsApp. For offices needing more than 5 units, send the quantity, platform and required installation location so stock and rollout planning can be checked together.
