Yealink RoomCast E2 Dubai

Yealink RoomCast E2 Dubai

Four people walk into a meeting room with four different laptops. Nobody wants to pass an HDMI cable around the table, hunt for an adapter, or disconnect the person already presenting. That’s the room the Yealink RoomCast E2 is built for.

It puts wireless presentation on the meeting-room display and allows up to 4 participants to share content on screen at the same time. Output goes up to 4K, so spreadsheets, drawings, dashboards and presentation text stay readable on the large displays commonly fitted in Dubai meeting rooms.

RoomCast E2 uses Wi-Fi 6 and a dual-Wi-Fi design for wireless casting. AES-256 encryption protects shared content, while Gigabit Ethernet gives the room a wired network option. Power can be supplied through PoE, which is useful when the unit is mounted behind a display and you don’t want another power adaptor hanging below the screen.

The hardware includes HDMI output, 3 × USB-A ports and Bluetooth 5.0. Yealink’s Android 14 platform also allows IT teams to manage the device through YMCS, including remote device tasks, diagnostics and digital-signage content when the meeting room isn’t being used.

For offices in Business Bay, JLT, DIFC or DMCC where staff and visitors regularly bring their own laptops, RoomCast E2 removes a very ordinary problem: getting somebody’s screen onto the room display without turning the first five minutes of the meeting into cable troubleshooting.

Yealink RoomCast E2 UAE supply and installation is available across Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah and all 7 UAE emirates. It remains part of the RoomCast product family; this page does not position it as a replacement for the existing RoomCast model.

Description

Yealink RoomCast E2 4K Wireless Presentation System Dubai

Someone walks into a meeting room in Business Bay with a Windows laptop. The next person has a MacBook. A client joins with an iPad. Then somebody asks where the HDMI adapter is. That’s usually when a simple presentation turns into five minutes of cable swapping.

Yealink RoomCast E2 puts the presentation system behind the display instead. Staff and visitors share wirelessly, up to 4 devices can appear on screen at the same time, and the room display can run at up to 4K resolution. For offices with glass meeting rooms in JLT, DIFC or DMCC, it means the table stays clear and users don’t have to understand the AV setup before they can put a spreadsheet or presentation on screen. RoomCast E2 sits within our Wireless Presentation & BYOD range and can also be used alongside Yealink USB meeting-room hardware.

What RoomCast E2 Actually Does

RoomCast E2 is a multi-user wireless content sharing appliance. It connects to the meeting-room display and gives laptops and mobile devices a wireless route to that screen. Yealink supports one-click casting through its presentation pod along with multiple wireless casting protocols, so a visitor doesn’t have to depend on one specific laptop brand or operating system.

The useful part is the 4-way split display. Four participants can put their screens on one display simultaneously rather than taking turns. Think finance review: budget on one laptop, CRM dashboard on another, project schedule on the third and supplier quote on the fourth. Nobody has to keep disconnecting just to compare two numbers.

It also goes beyond presentation-only use. Yealink supports RoomCast E2 with USB video bars, intelligent cameras and microphones for lightweight room deployments. That makes it useful where the display starts as a presentation screen but the room later needs camera and audio hardware for laptop-driven video meetings.

4-Way Split Screen

Up to 4 source devices can appear on one room display at the same time. Useful for design reviews, tender comparisons, financial meetings and engineering sessions where people need to see several documents side by side instead of constantly changing presenter.

Dual-Wi-Fi Architecture

RoomCast E2 uses a dual-Wi-Fi design intended to keep wireless casting stable when several users are active. In a Dubai office where the surrounding 2.4GHz and 5GHz bands are already crowded with access points, phones and neighbouring tenants, that architecture matters more than a simple “wireless presentation” label suggests.

Digital Signage Through YMCS

When nobody is presenting, the screen doesn’t have to sit on a blank input. YMCS can distribute image and video content to RoomCast E2 for digital signage. Reception screens, internal notices, visitor instructions or company announcements can be deployed centrally without somebody carrying a USB drive from room to room.

4K Sharing Without Passing a Cable Around

The RoomCast E2 supports 4K Ultra HD display output. On a 65-inch or 75-inch meeting-room screen that makes a real difference with text-heavy material. Excel sheets, floor plans and detailed PowerPoint slides remain readable from the other side of the table instead of looking soft because the presentation system is limiting the display.

Wireless sharing is started from the user’s device or through a compatible Yealink presentation pod. The pod route is particularly useful in shared rooms because the person doesn’t have to work through the display menu. Connect the pod, trigger sharing and the content goes to the room screen.

For IT teams, the practical gain is consistency. Instead of every meeting room having a different HDMI extender, USB-C converter and pile of adapters, the same RoomCast E2 setup can be repeated across several rooms in Abu Dhabi or Dubai. One method for users. One device class for IT to manage.

PoE Behind the Display — Cleaner Installation

RoomCast E2 supports Power over Ethernet as well as DC power. With PoE, a single network cable can provide network connectivity and power to the unit. That’s useful when the device is mounted behind a wall-mounted display where adding another 230V socket would mean extra electrical work.

The box can be installed behind the display or placed on a desk. In most Dubai meeting-room installations we’d rather keep it behind the screen. Less hardware visible. No small black box taking up table space, and fewer cables for users to pull out accidentally when they’re moving laptops around.

PoE also makes multi-room deployment cleaner. If the network switch already provides suitable PoE, the installer runs the network cable to each display position and doesn’t need a separate power adaptor location for every RoomCast E2.

Security for Shared Dubai Meeting Rooms

Presentation systems handle material people don’t normally want floating around the office network: financial sheets, customer records, tender documents and internal project plans. RoomCast E2 uses AES-256 encryption for data protection.

The unit runs Android 14 and is designed as a centrally managed meeting-room device rather than a consumer casting dongle. For an IT manager looking after 10, 20 or 50 rooms, that distinction matters. The device becomes part of the managed room estate instead of another anonymous gadget hidden behind a television.

Central Management Through YMCS

One RoomCast E2 is easy to look after. Forty of them across different floors is where management becomes important. Yealink Management Cloud Service lets IT teams centrally view and manage meeting-room devices rather than visiting every room when something needs checking.

Yealink specifically supports task deployment and smart diagnostics from YMCS. That means an IT administrator can manage RoomCast E2 devices from a central console and investigate room issues remotely before deciding whether anybody actually needs to visit the site.

Digital signage uses the same management layer. Images and videos can be distributed to displays through RoomCast E2 when the rooms aren’t being used for presentations. For a company with meeting rooms across Dubai and Abu Dhabi, reception messaging or internal campaign material can be changed centrally instead of updated screen by screen.

Where RoomCast E2 Fits

Room Type Typical Use RoomCast E2 Fit
Huddle Room 2–4 people sharing laptops Good fit when the room mainly needs wireless presentation
Meeting Room 4–10 people, mixed visitor devices Strong fit for 4-way content comparison
Training / Review Room Multiple presenters and detailed documents Useful where several sources need to stay visible
Full Native Teams / Zoom Room Dedicated room account and one-touch meeting join Use a dedicated Yealink Teams Room or complete video conferencing system instead

Not the right fit?

RoomCast E2 is primarily a wireless content-sharing device. If you need a room that joins Microsoft Teams or Zoom meetings natively with its own camera, microphones, speakers and room account, look at the Yealink video conferencing range instead. If the requirement is mainly laptop sharing and presentation, RoomCast E2 is the cleaner fit.

Platform and Device Compatibility

Yealink USB Video Hardware ✓

RoomCast E2 is designed around mixed-device rooms rather than locking the room to one laptop type. That’s particularly useful in client-facing offices where internal staff may use Windows while visitors arrive with MacBooks, tablets or phones.

It can also form part of a larger room setup using Yealink USB video bars, cameras and microphones. For organisations already using Yealink video conferencing equipment, that gives IT a consistent hardware family across presentation-only rooms and full video meeting spaces.

BYOD and Wireless Sharing in Mixed Laptop Rooms

A presentation room in Dubai rarely belongs to one device type. Internal staff may carry managed Windows laptops, the consultant arriving from Abu Dhabi has a MacBook, and a visiting director wants to show a PDF from a tablet. RoomCast E2 is built around that mixed-device problem rather than assuming everyone uses the same connector.

For straightforward presentation use, content is sent wirelessly to the meeting-room display. Up to 4 users can remain visible at once. That split-screen mode is useful during tender reviews, engineering discussions and finance meetings where comparing documents matters more than giving one presenter permanent control of the display.

Where a room also needs laptop-driven video meetings, RoomCast E2 can sit alongside compatible Yealink USB cameras, video bars and microphones. The laptop still runs the meeting application. The room hardware handles the screen, camera and audio side of the setup. For buyers comparing different room approaches, see the wider Yealink Wireless Presentation & BYOD range.

PABX and Etisalat / du Compatibility — What RoomCast E2 Does Not Do

RoomCast E2 is not a SIP telephone and it does not register to a PABX as a desk phone or conference phone. You don’t assign it an extension on 3CX, Grandstream UCM, Yeastar, Avaya or an Etisalat or du SIP service.

That distinction saves a lot of confusion during room planning. RoomCast E2 handles presentation and supporting room-video workflows. Voice calls to normal telephone numbers remain on your existing PABX, desk phones or conference-phone system. If the requirement includes dedicated meeting-room voice calling through SIP, we would specify that separately rather than pretending the casting appliance is a phone endpoint.

For offices building both meeting rooms and phone infrastructure at the same time, the Yealink IP phone range covers SIP handsets, while RoomCast E2 handles the screen-sharing side of the room.

What Comes With the RoomCast E2 Setup

The core purchase is the RoomCast E2 receiver that connects to the room display and network. The exact project package depends on how users will share, whether PoE is available at the display position, and whether the room also needs camera and microphone hardware.

For a simple boardroom, the usual installation is RoomCast E2 behind the display with HDMI to the screen and Ethernet back to the network. If the network switch provides PoE, the same cable can also power the unit. No separate power adaptor hanging behind the TV.

Not included — order separately if needed

Meeting-room display, compatible Yealink presentation pod, USB camera or video bar, room microphone, PoE network switch and any project-specific mounting or cabling. We match these to the room before quoting rather than adding accessories that won’t be used.

RoomCast E2 Installation in Dubai and Abu Dhabi

The small box is easy to hide. The network design is where the installation matters. We check the display input, Ethernet position, PoE availability and wireless environment before fixing the unit behind the screen.

1

Room check — Confirm display type, HDMI input, network point, PoE availability, mounting position and how staff normally bring content into the room.

2

Fit and configure — Mount RoomCast E2 behind the display or at the selected position, connect HDMI and network, apply PoE or DC power, then configure casting and management settings.

3

Real-device test — We test sharing with the device types your staff actually use. Windows laptop, MacBook or mobile device. If 4-way sharing is part of the requirement, that is tested too.

Yealink RoomCast E2 UAE supply and installation is available in Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, Ajman, Ras Al Khaimah, Fujairah and Umm Al Quwain. In glass-partition offices around DMCC, DIFC and JLT, keeping the receiver behind the display also leaves the meeting table free of extra hardware.

Where 4-Way Sharing Makes Sense

The obvious use case is a meeting where several people need to show content. The less obvious one is comparison work. A construction consultant can hold the drawing, programme, cost sheet and supplier submission on the same display. A finance team can compare 4 business-unit dashboards without taking screenshots and pasting them into one temporary deck.

It also suits training rooms where the instructor wants to see a participant device beside the teaching material. In procurement meetings, two or more vendor submissions can remain visible while the team discusses differences. This is where the 4-screen capability earns its place; not because “four” sounds impressive on a datasheet, but because nobody has to keep surrendering the screen.

For legal, consulting and financial offices in DIFC, AES-256 encryption is another practical consideration. The presentation system is regularly handling documents that shouldn’t be treated like casual consumer casting traffic.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can 4 people really share to RoomCast E2 at the same time?

Yes. RoomCast E2 supports up to 4 simultaneous shared screens on one display. It is useful when the meeting needs side-by-side comparison rather than one presenter taking over the entire screen.

Does RoomCast E2 work with both Windows laptops and MacBooks?

Yes. RoomCast E2 is intended for mixed-device presentation rooms and supports multiple wireless casting methods. We test the device types used by your staff during installation rather than assuming every laptop behaves the same way.
