The meeting controller is fixed near the screen. The person presenting is halfway down a 10-seat table with a laptop, and the supplied sharing cable stops short. Someone ends up moving chairs, passing a cable across the table, or presenting from a different seat. We see this a lot in Dubai meeting rooms after furniture layouts change but the original AV points stay exactly where they were installed.
The Yealink MShare E2 gives a Yealink MVC room a separate wired content-sharing point. Instead of forcing every presenter to connect at the room controller, the MShare E2 can be installed closer to the position where laptops are actually used. HDMI, USB-C and USB Type-B connections are available on the unit, and wired content can be shared at up to 1080p at 30 frames per second with audio. Simple job. Why the MShare E2 Exists in an MVC Meeting Room
A meeting-room controller and a laptop-sharing point don’t always belong in the same place. The controller might sit close to the screen because that is where the original system was installed. The people presenting might sit two or three seats farther down the table. On a long boardroom table, that small difference creates the usual mess: extension cables, loose adaptors, people standing up to reach the connection, or someone moving their laptop to a seat they don’t actually want to use.
MShare E2 separates those two jobs. The touch controller remains where it makes sense for room operation. The sharing box goes where users naturally place laptops. That is the practical reason to specify it. Not because the room needs another screen-sharing technology, but because the existing connection point is in the wrong physical location.

The difference sounds obvious on paper but gets blurred on quotations. Content sharing means the laptop sends its presentation into the room system. Full BYOD can mean something wider: the laptop may also need access to the room camera, microphones and speakers for a meeting hosted from the laptop. Those are different jobs. MShare E2 is primarily about giving an MVC room a practical wired auxiliary content connection.
Not the right fit?
If your requirement is wireless 4K presentation, a button-style presentation pod, or full wireless BYOD where the laptop also uses the room camera, microphones and speakers, don’t specify the MShare E2 just because it has “share” in the name. Where It Fits in a Dubai Meeting Room
Think about the physical table before the product. A six-seat meeting room in a JLT office might have the touch controller placed neatly beside the screen. Fine for controlling calls. There isn’t a meaningful seat-count limit for MShare E2 because it isn’t the camera or microphone covering the room. Room size matters only because larger tables create more distance between the room controller and the person presenting. That’s where the accessory becomes more useful.

Don’t choose it by seat count alone
MShare E2 does not increase microphone pickup, camera coverage or room capacity. It solves a content-connection and table-layout problem. If the actual issue is poor audio at the far end of the table or missing camera coverage, the room needs a different conferencing hardware decision, not another sharing box.

Does MShare E2 Connect to a PABX, Etisalat or du?
No. The MShare E2 is not a SIP endpoint, desk phone, gateway or telephone interface. It does not register to a Grandstream UCM, 3CX, Yeastar, Avaya system, Etisalat service or du SIP account. Its job is the wired auxiliary content path inside a compatible Yealink MVC meeting-room deployment.
If the room itself needs PSTN or SIP calling, that requirement has to be handled by the host conferencing system or by the office telephony platform. We check that separately during installation. Don’t buy an MShare E2 expecting it to add a telephone line to the boardroom — it won’t.
One accessory. One defined job.
MShare E2 handles wired laptop content sharing for the MVC room. It doesn’t add microphone range, camera coverage, SIP calling or wireless presentation by itself. Keeping that boundary clear prevents expensive accessory mistakes during a room rollout.

No. MShare E2 is a wired auxiliary content-sharing box. It gives the presenter HDMI, USB-C and USB Type-B connectivity and supports wired content up to 1080p at 30fps with audio. If you want a wireless presentation pod, use a product from the Yealink wireless presentation range instead.
Is MShare E2 useful in a small 4-person room?
Sometimes, but room size isn’t the main reason to buy it. In a 4-person room where the controller and laptops are already within easy reach, it may add little. It becomes more useful when the presenter sits away from the controller, especially on 8-to-14-seat tables and trainer-led rooms.
