Yealink MeetingBoard 86 Dubai

Yealink MeetingBoard 86 Dubai

You’ve got a large meeting room, an 86-inch wall space and twelve people trying to follow a Teams call from one laptop camera. Someone at the far end looks tiny. Whiteboard notes live on another screen. Cables run across the table. That’s the room the Yealink MeetingBoard 86 is built to replace.

The MeetingBoard 86 brings an 86-inch 4K touch display, built-in 4K camera, microphones, speakers and digital whiteboard into one unit. The original MB86-A001 is designed for Microsoft Teams meeting spaces, with Yealink also offering platform-specific MeetingBoard configurations for organisations standardised on Zoom.

For a larger DIFC, Business Bay or Abu Dhabi meeting room, the useful part isn’t just the screen size. The board can be expanded with the MB-Camera-12X for long-room camera coverage, VCM36-W wireless microphones where voices need to be picked up farther from the display, and an optional MCore OPS module where a Windows-based deployment is required.

The board itself weighs about 84.5 kg, so this isn’t something to hang on a partition wall without checking the structure first. Floor-stand options are available where wall mounting isn’t practical — common in Dubai offices with glass partitions or meeting rooms that get reconfigured.

IT teams can also manage MeetingBoard devices through Yealink’s device-management platform rather than visiting every room for routine checks.

Yealink MeetingBoard 86 UAE supply and installation is available across Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah and all 7 UAE emirates. For newer projects, we’ll also check whether the original MeetingBoard 86 or the current MeetingBoard Pro 86 is the better fit before the room is quoted.

Description

Yealink MeetingBoard 86 -Inch Teams Collaboration Board Dubai

Twelve people are around the table in a DIFC boardroom. Half are looking at a Teams call on one display, somebody is standing beside a second whiteboard, and the person presenting keeps walking back to a laptop just to change slides. Add the usual Dubai problem — glass partitions, ceiling HVAC noise and a room that gets booked by different teams all day — and a normal TV-plus-camera setup starts feeling patched together.

The Yealink MeetingBoard 86 puts the main room functions into one 86-inch unit: a 4K touch display, built-in 4K camera, microphone system, speakers and digital whiteboard. This page covers the original MB86-A001 MeetingBoard 86. It should not be confused with the newer MeetingBoard Pro 86, which uses different hardware and accessories. For a new installation, we check the room, platform and expansion requirements before deciding which generation makes sense.

First Question: Is an 86-Inch Board Right for the Room?

This is not a huddle-room screen. An 86-inch board makes sense where people need to see shared content from several metres away and where the display is also used for annotation, workshops, design reviews or management presentations. Yealink’s own room-design material shows MeetingBoard 86 configurations for medium and large meeting spaces, including deployments reaching around 20 people when the room is expanded with additional camera and microphone hardware.

Room Type Typical Use MeetingBoard 86 Fit
Focus / Huddle Room 2–4 people Too large for most rooms
Standard Meeting Room 6–10 people Useful where touch and whiteboarding matter
Boardroom 10–16 people Strong use case, especially for presentations
Large / Training Space Up to about 20 people Add external camera and microphone coverage

Check the wall before ordering

The MeetingBoard 86 weighs about 84.5 kg before brackets and accessories. A lightweight partition or decorative glass wall isn’t a mounting surface. In DMCC, JLT and Business Bay offices we normally confirm wall construction, fixing points, cable path and access before installation. Where wall mounting isn’t sensible, a compatible floor stand is the safer route.

Microsoft Teams Room, Whiteboard and Presentation Screen in One

The original MeetingBoard 86 was built as an all-in-one collaboration board rather than a display that happens to have a webcam attached. In a Microsoft Teams deployment, the room can be treated as part of the wider Yealink Microsoft Teams room estate, while the 86-inch panel also stays useful between calls for whiteboarding, local presentations and workshop sessions.

For a company standardised on Teams, that means the room hardware, calendar and conferencing workflow can sit alongside other Yealink video conferencing systems rather than being treated as a standalone smart screen. Yealink also produced Zoom-oriented MeetingBoard configurations, so the exact platform edition should be confirmed before purchase. We don’t assume one image or one reseller SKU means every board is licensed and configured for the same platform.

Why the Board Format Works Better Than a TV in Some Dubai Offices

A TV is fine when the room only needs video calls. The MeetingBoard 86 earns its wall space when people also need to work on the display. Touch interaction turns the screen into a working surface for project reviews, mark-ups and planning sessions. Four stylus pens are supplied with the board, so a workshop doesn’t depend on one pen being passed around the table.

One large visual surface instead of two disconnected screens

In a project room, the call, shared drawing and presentation can all stay centred on the same 86-inch board. Nobody is turning from a TV to a separate flip chart, photographing handwritten notes, then trying to match those notes with the meeting recording later.

Built for expansion when the room gets longer

A standard boardroom may be fine on the internal camera and audio system. A long executive room is different. The optional MB-Camera-12X adds 12× optical PTZ capability, while VCM36-W wireless microphones can extend voice coverage farther into the room without running a microphone cable across the table.

Windows option without replacing the display

The built-in OPS slot allows an optional Yealink MCore OPS computer to be fitted where the project calls for a Windows-based room workflow. Yealink lists an Intel Core i5 configuration with 8 GB memory and 128 GB storage for this deployment path. That’s useful when the board needs to sit inside an existing Windows-managed meeting-room standard rather than operate only as an Android collaboration appliance.

Built-In Camera or MB-Camera-12X?

The board already has a built-in 4K camera, so an extra camera is not automatically required. In a normal boardroom where everyone sits within the useful view of the display, keeping the setup integrated makes sense. Fewer devices on the wall. Fewer cables. Less to explain to users.

The external MB-Camera-12X is for rooms where distance changes the job. Twelve-times optical zoom can frame a presenter at the far end of a training space without relying on digital enlargement. Yealink also documents Auto Framing, Speaker Tracking, Picture-in-Picture, manual PTZ control and camera presets with this module. That’s a different use case from simply making an already-wide boardroom image slightly closer.

Think of a long ADGM executive room, a training area in Dubai South or a boardroom where the presenter stands six or seven metres from the screen. That’s where the PTZ option starts making practical sense. For a compact rectangular room, we’d rather keep the installation simpler.

For the Yealink MeetingBoard 86 UAE installation, the screen size is only one part of the planning. Camera distance, wall construction, table length, microphone coverage and the chosen Teams or Zoom workflow all change what needs to be ordered. Getting those five points right before delivery matters much more than adding accessories after the board is already on the wall.

Laptop Meetings and Wireless BYOD

A Teams room still gets visitors who arrive with something else. A consultant opens Zoom. A supplier sends a Webex link. Someone from another company wants to present from their own laptop without signing into the room account. That’s where the MeetingBoard 86’s BYOD options matter.

The original MeetingBoard generation supports the Yealink WPP30 wireless presentation and BYOD pod. Plug the WPP30 into a compatible laptop and the laptop can use the room display and MeetingBoard audio/video hardware without turning the board into that user’s permanently configured meeting device. Useful in shared meeting rooms where outside visitors appear every day.

WPP30 — when cables across the table aren’t wanted

Yealink lists the WPP30 as a Wireless BYOD & Content Share accessory in its MB86-A001 room designs. In a glass meeting room in JLT or DMCC, that means fewer loose cables running from the wall-mounted board to whichever seat the visitor happened to choose.

There is also a wired BYOD route using Yealink sharing hardware. The exact accessory should be checked against the original MeetingBoard generation before ordering because accessory support isn’t identical between MeetingBoard 86 and MeetingBoard Pro 86. We don’t substitute a newer Pro accessory simply because the connector looks familiar.

What About Etisalat, du and the Office PABX?

The MeetingBoard 86 is a video collaboration board, not a Yealink desk phone or an analogue conference phone. We therefore don’t present it as a direct Etisalat, du, 3CX or Grandstream SIP endpoint unless a specific project configuration has been verified first.

In a Microsoft Teams deployment, external calling can be handled through the organisation’s Teams telephony design where that service has been configured by the IT team. Zoom deployments follow the customer’s Zoom calling architecture. A normal office PABX remains a separate system unless the communications design intentionally links the two.

If the requirement is simply a meeting-room telephone registered directly to a UAE SIP service, look at the Yealink conference phone range instead. Different job. For a boardroom that needs an 86-inch touch surface plus video meetings, the MeetingBoard is the relevant product.

What’s Supplied With the MeetingBoard 86

The standard MB86-A001 room configuration includes the 86-inch MeetingBoard, power hardware, wall-mount hardware and cables, plus four stylus pens. Yealink lists the core unit as a complete 86-inch all-in-one collaboration display rather than a bare panel that needs a separate camera and speaker before the first meeting can run.

The exact accessory pack is checked again when the quotation is prepared. That matters on older-generation MeetingBoard stock because a project may need a floor stand, external PTZ camera, wireless microphone or BYOD pod in addition to the core board.

Not included unless specified in the quotation

Optional MB-Camera-12X PTZ camera, VCM36-W wireless microphone, WPP30 BYOD pod, MCore OPS Windows module, floor stand and room scheduling panel should be ordered separately when the room design needs them. Don’t assume an accessory shown in a room diagram comes inside the MB86-A001 carton.

Building a Larger MeetingBoard 86 Room

An 86-inch screen can serve a bigger room than its built-in camera and microphones should automatically be expected to cover. Screen visibility and audio coverage are two separate calculations. This catches people out.

Yealink shows the MB86-A001 in 12-to-20-person room designs with the MB-Camera-12X and VCM36-W. The camera gives long-room optical reach; the wireless microphone brings voice pickup closer to participants sitting away from the board. For a training room or executive space, that’s a more sensible design than expecting one device on the front wall to handle every seat equally.

Dubai installation detail: HVAC and glass

An 86-inch board often goes into the larger room on the floor — exactly where ceiling AC volume is higher and glass partitions are longer. Microphone placement is tested with the HVAC running, not with the room silent after office hours. Camera framing is also checked with people walking outside the glass so the final configuration reflects the room during a normal working day.

Installation of an 84.5 kg Collaboration Board

This is where the MeetingBoard 86 differs from installing a video bar. At approximately 84.5 kg net weight, the mounting surface has to be checked before the installation team arrives with the board. Concrete is straightforward. Blockwork needs the correct fixing method. Lightweight partitions need structural reinforcement or a different mounting plan.

1

Room check — Confirm wall construction, board position, floor loading where a stand is used, power, network point and cable path.

2

Mount and configure — Install the board, connect the network, configure the selected Teams or Zoom environment and pair any approved room accessories.

3

Live room test — Test camera framing, voice pickup, content sharing and touch operation from the seats that will actually be used.

Yealink MeetingBoard 86 UAE supply and installation covers Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, Ajman, Ras Al Khaimah, Fujairah and Umm Al Quwain. Installation is included with our supplied systems. Multi-room deployments across DIFC, DMCC, JLT and Abu Dhabi offices can be surveyed as one project so every room isn’t designed from scratch on installation day.

Remote Management for IT Teams

Once an organisation has several meeting rooms, the question changes from “does the board work?” to “how do we know which room has a problem before the meeting starts?” Yealink provides device-management options through YMCS/YDMP for supported deployments, giving IT teams a central view of deployed room hardware.

For a UAE company with rooms in Dubai and Abu Dhabi, that central view is more useful than sending an engineer across emirates for every basic device check. The exact management functions available depend on how the MeetingBoard estate is deployed and which service is being used, so management scope is confirmed during configuration rather than promised as one fixed feature list for every customer.

Related Yealink Products for the Same Room Project

An MB86-A001 installation rarely comes down to the board alone. These are the products we normally check while designing the room:

MeetingBoard Pro 86 — for a new project where the current MeetingBoard generation is preferred. See the Microsoft Teams room range when comparing generations.

WPP30 — wireless content sharing and BYOD for visitor laptops. Filed with our wireless presentation and BYOD products.

VCM36-W — wireless microphone expansion for longer tables and larger rooms. See Yealink room audio and microphones.

RoomPanel — place the booking display outside the room so staff can see whether the boardroom is free before opening the door. Browse Yealink room scheduling panels.

MVC S80 / MVC S90 — an alternative when the project needs separate camera, microphones and room compute rather than an interactive board. Compare within the Yealink video conferencing range.

Yealink conference phones — the better route when the requirement is direct office telephony rather than an 86-inch video collaboration board. See the conference phone range for Dubai and Abu Dhabi.

Where the MeetingBoard 86 Makes Sense

Architecture, engineering and construction teams are a good example. A project drawing goes on the 86-inch screen, three people mark changes directly on the board and a consultant joins remotely. That’s a different requirement from watching a presentation on a TV.

Training rooms are another. Add the 12× camera where the instructor works away from the front wall and extend the microphone arrangement if participants sit deep into the room. The same logic applies to management boardrooms, design-review spaces, legal meeting rooms and larger client presentation areas.

For Abu Dhabi government and corporate projects, the room survey matters particularly where the board is being fitted into an existing AV wall rather than a new meeting room. We check the opening dimensions, wall load, network and accessory positions before the 86-inch unit leaves Dubai.

MeetingBoard 86 Export From Dubai

We supply MeetingBoard 86 project quantities to system integrators and corporate AV teams in South Africa, Ghana, Nigeria, Tanzania, Ethiopia and Kenya. Large-format boards need more freight planning than video bars, so carton dimensions and destination handling are checked before the shipment is booked.

FOB Dubai pricing is available for reseller and project orders. Optional cameras, microphones, floor stands and wireless sharing units can be packed into the same project order so the destination installer receives the complete room bill of materials.

For multi-site African rollouts, send the quantity, destination country and preferred room configuration on WhatsApp. We can separate the quotation into core boards and optional room hardware where the sites aren’t all the same size.

Export orders ship from Dubai with commercial documentation prepared for the project. WhatsApp +971 55 986 3697 for quantity-based FOB Dubai pricing.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is the MeetingBoard 86 too big for a normal 8-person meeting room?

Not automatically. The 86-inch size is useful when the room needs touch whiteboarding or people sit far enough away to benefit from a larger shared image. If eight people only need video meetings and screen sharing, a smaller board or video-bar system may use the room more efficiently. We check viewing distance and wall space before recommending the 86-inch model.

Can we use the MeetingBoard 86 for both Microsoft Teams and Zoom?

The original MeetingBoard family was offered for Microsoft Teams and Zoom room deployments. The purchased unit should be checked for the intended platform rather than assuming every MB86-A001 is configured identically. For meetings on a visitor’s laptop, BYOD options such as WPP30 can also be used where supported by the room configuration.

Will voices at the far end of a 20-person room be clear on the built-in microphones?

For a room that deep, we wouldn’t design from the seat count alone. Yealink shows 12-to-20-person MB86-A001 rooms with external microphone and camera options. The VCM36-W can bring microphone coverage farther into the room, while the MB-Camera-12X provides optical PTZ reach for distant participants and presenters.

Can we connect the MeetingBoard 86 directly to our Etisalat or du PABX?

We don’t quote the MeetingBoard 86 as a standard SIP telephone registered directly to an Etisalat or du PBX line. It is primarily a Teams, Zoom and collaboration-room device. If ordinary SIP room calling is required as well, we check the existing phone system and specify the correct separate telephony equipment rather than promising direct registration that hasn’t been verified.

Can you install an 86-inch MeetingBoard on our glass meeting-room wall?

Not directly onto standard glass. The MB86-A001 is approximately 84.5 kg net, so the support structure has to be designed for the load. In Dubai offices with glass partitions we normally use a structural wall section, reinforced mounting structure or compatible floor stand after checking the room.

Is the Yealink MeetingBoard 86 in stock in Dubai and do you install in Abu Dhabi?

Yes. MeetingBoard 86 supply is available from Dubai with a same-day quotation on WhatsApp. Installation covers Abu Dhabi as well as Dubai, Sharjah, Ajman, Ras Al Khaimah, Fujairah and Umm Al Quwain. For an 86-inch board we recommend sending the room location and a photo of the intended mounting wall with the enquiry.
