Description
Yealink WH64 Hybrid / Workstation DECT + Bluetooth Headset Dubai
You leave your desk to check something with accounts and the Teams call drops because the Bluetooth headset has already reached the edge of its useful range. Back at the desk, a customer calls your mobile while another call is sitting on the PC. Add the constant HVAC sound above an open-plan office in Business Bay and the headset becomes part of the problem rather than part of the phone system.
The Yealink WH64 family is built differently. It combines DECT wireless for longer office movement with Bluetooth for mobile use, then gives you two ways to deploy it. Choose the WH64 Hybrid when you want a light charging setup with the compact WDD60 DECT dongle. Choose the WH64 Workstation when the desk needs its own 4-inch touchscreen, speakerphone and call-control base. Both are available in Mono and Dual headset formats for Yealink WH64 UAE deployments across Dubai, Abu Dhabi and the other emirates.

WH64 Hybrid or WH64 Workstation — Start With This Decision
The headset worn on your head looks similar across the range. The big difference is what sits on the desk. That matters more than it sounds. A finance user who spends most of the day inside Teams needs something different from a reception desk handling PC calls, mobile calls and walk-up conversations.
| Version | Desk Hardware | DECT Range | Who It Suits |
|---|---|---|---|
| WH64 Hybrid | Charging stand + WDD60 USB-A DECT dongle | Up to 150m | Teams users, laptop workers, managers using PC + mobile |
| WH64 Workstation | 4-inch touchscreen base with speaker and microphone | Up to 185m | Reception, operations, customer service and fixed desks |
The practical difference
If you mainly want a wireless headset connected to a computer while keeping Bluetooth available for your mobile, the Hybrid keeps the desk simple. If staff need visible call controls, a desk speakerphone and a base they can operate without reaching for the PC every time, order the Workstation. Same WH64 family. Different working style.
Why DECT + Bluetooth Makes More Sense Than Bluetooth Alone
Bluetooth is useful when the device is sitting near you. Walk through a glass door, past two partitions and into the next office and range can become less predictable. That happens constantly in JLT and DMCC offices where meeting rooms, managers’ cabins and open desks are split by aluminium-framed glass.
The WH64 uses DECT for the longer wireless link. On the Hybrid, the WDD60 DECT dongle provides up to 150 metres of specified range under suitable conditions. The Workstation extends the specified DECT distance to as much as 185 metres. Real indoor range is affected by concrete cores, fire doors, server rooms and the number of walls between you and the base, but the point remains: you have a dedicated office wireless link rather than relying only on Bluetooth.
Bluetooth still has a job. It connects the mobile side of the setup. That means someone can handle computer calls and a mobile phone from the same headset rather than keeping earbuds beside the keyboard for the second device. For staff who spend half the day between Teams calls and customer mobiles, that’s the reason to look at the Yealink headset range rather than choosing a basic single-device wireless model.
Three Microphones for the Person on the Other End
A headset can sound perfectly clear in your own ears while sending a completely different call to the customer. Ceiling AC, two colleagues talking behind you and keyboard noise all enter through the microphone. Dubai offices make this obvious in summer when HVAC systems run continuously for the full working day.
3-MEMS microphone array
The WH64 headset uses three MEMS microphones rather than relying on one microphone at the end of the boom. Yealink’s Acoustic Shield 2.0 processing is designed to identify the user’s voice and reduce surrounding sound before that audio reaches the far end.
Think of a six-person accounts department in DIFC. Two people are on calls, someone is discussing an invoice behind the glass partition and the air-conditioning outlet is directly above the desks. The WH64 doesn’t make the room silent. It works on the microphone signal so the person speaking into the headset remains the part of the call that matters.
For call centres and shared sales floors, that microphone behaviour is more important than music specifications. A customer should hear the agent handling the call — not three conversations happening two desks away.
The Workstation Base Is More Than a Charger
This is where the WH64 Workstation separates itself from the Hybrid. The base has a 4-inch LCD touchscreen. It also contains its own microphone and a 53 mm hands-free speaker, so it can function as a desk speakerphone when wearing the headset isn’t practical.
That works well at reception counters. A receptionist can wear the headset through most of the day, put it down for a quick face-to-face conversation, then use the Workstation speaker without changing the whole desk arrangement. Operations desks get the same benefit when two people need to listen to a call without handing the headset back and forth.
50-metre Workstation Bluetooth specification
The WH64 Workstation uses Bluetooth 5.3 and specifies Bluetooth range up to 50 metres in suitable conditions. DECT remains the longer-distance connection, reaching up to 185 metres.
If that touchscreen, speaker and desk control aren’t needed, don’t pay for hardware your user won’t touch. The Hybrid is the cleaner answer. Straightforward purchasing decisions like this matter when the project is 30, 80 or 200 headsets rather than one unit.
Mono or Dual — Which WH64 Should Your Team Wear?
WH64 Mono leaves one ear open. Reception staff, office coordinators, administrators and managers often prefer this because they can stay on a call while still hearing somebody standing beside the desk. The headset weighs about 92 g.
WH64 Dual covers both ears. At roughly 151 g, it is heavier than the Mono version but gives the user more separation from nearby conversations. Sales floors, customer-service desks and concentrated Teams calling are where Dual normally makes more sense.
Don’t order every desk the same way
A receptionist who needs to hear visitors may hate a Dual headset. A call-centre agent sitting between two other agents may hate Mono. For larger Dubai rollouts, split the quantity by job role before placing the order. We can quote Mono and Dual units under the same WH64 project.

Microsoft Teams, UC and Day-to-Day PC Calling
WH64 models are offered in Microsoft Teams and UC versions. For a company already standardized on Teams, ordering the correct Teams version keeps the headset aligned with that desktop calling environment. Mixed UC environments should be specified by the applications and phones the user actually runs rather than ordering from the model name alone.
This matters during a 50-seat deployment. One department may live in Microsoft Teams while another still handles calls through a desktop softphone. Procurement sees “WH64” on both requests, but the actual configuration can be different. We match the requested variant to the user’s desk before quoting rather than assuming every employee needs the same SKU.
For Dubai businesses standardising several headset types across different departments, the wider Yealink Headset Dubai range also covers lighter Bluetooth and wired options where a DECT deployment isn’t necessary.
Which Dubai Desk Fits the WH64?
| Work Area | Suggested Setup | Reason |
|---|---|---|
| Manager / private office | WH64 Hybrid Mono | PC + mobile use while keeping one ear open |
| Sales floor | WH64 Hybrid Dual | Two-ear listening with DECT movement around the office |
| Reception | WH64 Workstation Mono | Touchscreen desk control plus speakerphone and open-ear awareness |
| Customer service / operations | WH64 Workstation Dual | Desk controls, longer DECT specification and two-ear headset |
When WH64 is more headset than you need
If the user stays within two metres of one laptop all day and doesn’t need DECT movement, the WH64 may be unnecessary. A Bluetooth or wired model from the Yealink headset range can be a simpler fit. WH64 makes sense when mobility, multiple call devices or the Workstation desk controls are actually going to be used.
PC, Mobile and Desk-Phone Use — What Actually Connects to What
The WH64 is a headset, not a SIP extension. It doesn’t register directly to your PABX, take an Etisalat SIP account or appear as another extension on 3CX. The call still lives on the PC softphone, mobile phone or compatible desk-phone endpoint. The WH64 handles the audio and call-control side.
On the Hybrid setup, the WDD60 USB-A DECT dongle is the main PC connection while Bluetooth handles the mobile side. That works well for staff whose office number already rings inside Microsoft Teams or another desktop calling application. One headset. Two working devices. Less hardware spread across the desk.
Desk-phone deployments need a little more checking. The correct connection depends on the exact Yealink phone model and the way the organisation has configured calling. If your Dubai office is using Yealink IP phones, send us the phone model before ordering the headset estate. We match the headset version and connection method to the actual desk rather than assuming every phone behaves the same way.
Using Etisalat, e& or du?
The WH64 doesn’t connect to the telecom operator itself. Your Microsoft Teams client, softphone, IP phone or office PABX handles the telephone service. The headset connects to that endpoint. Send us the phone or application name before a multi-seat order and we’ll confirm the correct deployment path.
Battery Life — Read the Mono and Dual Numbers Separately
Battery figures on wireless headsets get messy when one number is used for every version. The WH64 Mono and Dual don’t have identical figures, and DECT calling isn’t the same usage case as Bluetooth music playback.
For DECT calls, the verified figures run up to approximately 14 hours on Mono and 16 hours on Dual. That’s the number to look at if the headset is going to spend most of the working day on PC or office calls using the DECT link.
The practical question is simpler: will the headset cover one Dubai working day without becoming a charging problem halfway through the afternoon? For normal office calling, the WH64 is designed around full-shift use, then returns to its charging stand or Workstation at the desk. High-call-volume teams should still build charging discipline into the desk setup rather than leaving headsets loose overnight.
Managing 10 Headsets Is Easy. Managing 200 Is Different.
One WH64 on a manager’s desk doesn’t need much administration. Put the same headset across a sales floor, customer-service department and Abu Dhabi branch and IT starts caring about configuration consistency, device status and what is physically connected at each workstation.
The WH64 family supports Yealink USB Connect for local PC-side configuration and Yealink Management Cloud Service for centrally managed device estates. That gives IT a cleaner way to handle supported Yealink endpoints across multiple offices instead of treating every headset as an isolated accessory.
Useful for multi-office UAE deployments
A company with 70 users in JLT, 40 in Abu Dhabi and a smaller Sharjah operation can standardise the WH64 family while still assigning Mono, Dual, Hybrid and Workstation units by job role. Procurement gets one headset family. Users don’t all have to receive the same desk setup.
What’s in the Box Depends on the WH64 Version
WH64 Hybrid: the defining desktop pieces are the WH64 headset, charging stand and WDD60 USB-A DECT dongle. Mono and Dual versions are separate SKUs, so the wearing style should be decided before the purchase order is raised.
WH64 Workstation: replaces the simple charging setup with the larger Workstation base. That base carries the 4-inch touchscreen, built-in microphone and 53mm speaker used for hands-free desk audio.
Not automatically included with every WH64 order
A compatible desk phone, PC, Microsoft Teams licence, office PABX service and any model-specific phone interface required by your desk setup should be treated as separate items unless they are explicitly listed on the quotation. For phone-side accessories, see the Yealink accessories range.

Related Yealink Products for the Same Desk Project
A WH64 rollout normally sits beside other communications hardware rather than being bought in isolation. For fixed office calling, pair the headset project with the correct models from the Yealink IP Phones range. This is the first place to check when the user wants the headset working alongside a physical desk extension.
For users who don’t need 150 or 185 metres of DECT movement, compare lighter Bluetooth models such as the BH-series inside the Yealink Headset Dubai category. Different job. Less desk hardware.
Microsoft-heavy environments can also standardise the desk around devices listed in the Yealink Microsoft Teams range. That helps when Teams phones, room devices and headsets are being deployed under the same IT project.
Need adapters, replacement connectivity hardware or desk-side add-ons? Use the Yealink Accessories section when building the bill of materials.
For shared meeting tables rather than individual desks, the requirement changes completely. Look at Yealink Conference Phones instead of trying to make several individual headsets cover one meeting.
Small groups working from laptops without fixed desk phones may also be better served by a shared device from the Yealink Speakerphones range. The WH64 is at its strongest when one user needs a dedicated wireless calling position.
Where the WH64 Makes Sense in a Dubai Office
Reception is an obvious Workstation use case. The user needs to take calls, speak to visitors, move to a filing cabinet and occasionally put a conversation on speaker. A Mono headset keeps the room audible while the Workstation keeps the controls on the desk.
A sales team in DMCC is different. Twenty people are calling from PCs, most also carry company mobiles, and the background conversation level climbs by 10AM. WH64 Hybrid Dual gives each user DECT movement, Bluetooth mobile access and two-ear listening without adding a 4-inch Workstation to every desk.
Then there are DIFC legal, finance and advisory offices. Calls are longer, privacy matters and staff regularly move between desk, printer and colleague’s office while staying connected. The Workstation’s Secure DECT Step C specification and up-to-185-metre DECT range are the details to look at there—not whether the headset has another coloured button.
Yealink WH64 UAE Supply — Dubai, Abu Dhabi and All Emirates
We supply Yealink WH64 Hybrid and WH64 Workstation projects across Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, Ajman, Ras Al Khaimah, Fujairah and Umm Al Quwain. For larger orders, the useful information is headcount by department: how many Mono, how many Dual, how many users need Workstation bases and how many can stay on the lighter Hybrid setup.
That stops a common procurement mistake—ordering 100 identical headsets because everyone has the same company email address. A receptionist, call-centre agent and finance director may all use Microsoft Teams, but they don’t work the same way at the desk.
WH64 Export from Dubai — Africa and MEA Projects
Project quantities of the WH64 family can ship from Dubai to enterprise procurement teams and IT resellers across South Africa, Nigeria, Kenya, Ghana and Egypt. Mono, Dual, Hybrid and Workstation quantities can be mixed on the same project so each user group receives the right configuration.
FOB Dubai pricing is available for reseller and corporate quantities. Send the destination country, required quantity and preferred headset split on WhatsApp so the quotation is built around the actual SKU mix rather than a single generic WH64 line.
For multi-branch deployments, cartons can be planned around site quantities before dispatch. That makes it easier for local IT teams to distribute the correct Mono and Dual versions without reopening the full order at each office.
GCC and South Asia shipments are also handled from Dubai for project orders. Export documentation and commercial terms are confirmed against the destination before dispatch.

Frequently Asked Questions
Should I buy the WH64 Hybrid or the WH64 Workstation?
Choose the Hybrid when the user mainly needs a PC headset plus Bluetooth mobile connectivity and a simple charging stand. Choose the Workstation when the desk benefits from the 4-inch touchscreen, built-in microphone, 53mm speaker and the longer specified DECT range of up to 185 metres.
Will the WH64 work with our Yealink desk phones and office PABX?
The WH64 doesn’t register directly to the PABX. It works through the connected PC, softphone, mobile device or compatible desk-phone setup. Send us your exact Yealink phone model and calling platform before ordering and we’ll confirm the correct WH64 version and connection method.
Is WH64 Mono or Dual better for a busy Dubai office?
Dual is usually the better fit for concentrated calling on a noisy sales or service floor because both ears are covered. Mono suits receptionists, coordinators and managers who still need to hear people around the desk. The Mono headset is approximately 92g; Dual is approximately 151g.
How far can I walk from my desk while wearing the WH64?
Yealink specifies DECT range up to 150 metres for WH64 Hybrid and up to 185 metres for WH64 Workstation under suitable conditions. Real office distance is reduced by concrete walls, fire doors, lifts and other building structure, so don’t read the maximum figure as guaranteed indoor coverage through an entire tower floor.
Can our IT team manage WH64 headsets across several UAE offices?
The WH64 family supports Yealink USB Connect and Yealink Management Cloud Service. For larger deployments, that gives IT a defined Yealink management path rather than configuring every desk as a completely separate device.
