Description
Yealink W77P Rugged DECT IP Phone Dubai
A warehouse handset gets dropped. A hotel maintenance engineer walks three floors away from the office. A facilities supervisor needs to answer the company extension while standing beside a loading bay, not sitting next to a desk phone. That is where a normal cordless handset starts becoming the wrong tool.
The Yealink W77P is built around that problem. It combines one W70B DECT base with one W57R rugged handset, giving mobile staff a SIP extension they can carry around the site. The handset is IP54 rated against dust and water splashes and is designed to withstand drops of up to 3.5 metres. For warehouses in Dubai Investment Park, hotel engineering teams, workshops, clinics and facilities crews moving between back-office areas, that matters more than having a large desk-phone display.

Where the W77P Fits — and Where It Doesn’t
The W77P makes sense when staff need a normal office extension but their job keeps them moving. Think hotel housekeeping supervisors, warehouse coordinators, maintenance engineers, clinic staff or technicians who spend most of the day away from a desk. The handset stays tied to the company phone system rather than a personal mobile number.
Yealink rates the DECT range at up to 50 metres indoors and 300 metres outdoors under ideal conditions. Those numbers need some context in Dubai buildings. Reinforced concrete walls, lift shafts, metal warehouse racking, fire doors and plant rooms can all reduce usable coverage. A 50-metre straight-line specification does not mean a handset will cross three concrete cores in a JLT tower.
Coverage warning
If you need roaming across several floors, a large warehouse divided by fire walls, or multiple buildings, don’t plan the system from the 50 m indoor figure alone. The W70B supports up to 6 optional RT30 repeaters for extended single-base coverage. Sites that need wider roaming should be surveyed before deciding on the final DECT layout.
For standard office use where staff mostly sit at desks, a fixed Yealink IP phone may be a simpler choice. The W77P earns its place when mobility, impact resistance and a proper business extension need to exist together.
What You Actually Get With the W77P
W77P isn’t the name of a separate handset. It is the system bundle: one W70B IP DECT base station plus one W57R rugged handset. The base connects to the office network and SIP phone system. The handset connects wirelessly to the base over DECT.
One W70B supports registration of up to 10 compatible Yealink DECT handsets and up to 10 SIP accounts. At base level, it can process up to 20 simultaneous calls, while an individual handset supports up to 2 calls at the same time. That makes one base useful for a small team rather than treating every cordless user as a separate standalone phone installation.
One base, several mobile extensions
A reception desk can have one extension, a warehouse supervisor another, and maintenance staff their own numbers while all handsets register to the same W70B. Up to 10 Yealink DECT handsets can be registered to one base. The exact SIP account and call routing design is configured around the office PABX rather than forcing every user onto the same extension.
The W77P belongs in the Yealink DECT phone range, alongside lighter office handsets and larger roaming systems. The important distinction here is the W57R’s physical protection. It is intended for working environments where a normal handset is more likely to be knocked, splashed or dropped.
W57R Rugged Handset — The Part Staff Carry
The W57R has a 1.8-inch 128 × 160 TFT colour display, backlit keypad, vibration alert and HD voice. Flexible Noise Reduction is designed to reduce unwanted background sound during calls, which is useful when a supervisor is answering beside HVAC plant, trolley movement or warehouse activity rather than in a quiet office.
IP54 isn’t waterproof
The handset is protected against dust ingress and water splashes. That suits daily site use, cleaning areas and occasional exposure to moisture. It should not be described as a handset for submersion or continuous outdoor rain. IP54 has limits, and the page should be clear about them.
Designed for drops up to 3.5 metres
A handset falling from a belt clip or workbench is a normal event in a workshop or warehouse. Yealink specifies resistance to falls of up to 3.5 metres. That is one of the main reasons to choose the W77P instead of pairing the W70B with a standard office handset.
The vibration alarm matters in noisy spaces as well. If a ringer is difficult to hear over machinery, HVAC equipment or loading activity, the handset can still alert the user physically. Three side keys include volume up, volume down and alarm control, while the main keypad includes dedicated speaker, message, transfer and mute functions.
The handset is also specified as scratch resistant and resistant to disinfectant treatment. That makes it a useful option for clinics, hospitality back-of-house areas and shared operational teams where equipment is cleaned regularly between users.
Battery Life — Check Which W57R Hardware Version You Receive
This is one specification worth checking before purchase because Yealink’s current W77P documentation lists two W57R battery generations.
| W57R Version | Talk Time | Standby Time |
|---|---|---|
| W57R V0–V3 | Up to 40 hours | Up to 575 hours |
| W57R V4 | Up to 28 hours | Up to 320 hours |
Those figures are stated under ideal conditions. The useful buying point is simple: don’t assume every W77P shipment carries the same 40-hour rating just because an older listing says so. The current hardware version should be confirmed against the unit being supplied.

SIP, PABX and Deployment Compatibility
The W77P is a SIP DECT phone system. The W70B connects to the IP network and registers SIP accounts supplied by the office PABX or hosted voice platform. That means the handset can keep the company’s extension numbering, transfer calls internally and use central call routing instead of behaving like a separate mobile phone.
For larger deployments, Yealink RPS, Plug-and-Play and browser-based provisioning allow IT teams to configure devices without setting every option manually from the handset. Provisioning can be delivered through TFTP, FTP, HTTP or HTTPS. Useful when an Abu Dhabi facilities group or a Dubai hospitality operator is deploying the same calling profile across several sites.
DECT compatibility is not the same as SIP compatibility
The W70B is designed for Yealink DECT endpoints. Don’t buy a third-party DECT handset assuming it will register simply because both products use DECT. SIP interoperability applies between the W70B and the phone system; handset compatibility must still be checked within the Yealink DECT range.
For Dubai companies replacing an older cordless phone setup, we normally confirm the existing PABX, number of mobile users, floor layout and whether the network switch provides PoE before selecting the final base and repeater count. That avoids buying extra hardware after installation.
Connecting the W77P to Your Office PABX
The W77P doesn’t replace the office phone system. The W70B base connects to your network and registers SIP extensions from the existing IP PABX or hosted voice service. Staff then carry those business extensions on the W57R handset around the warehouse, hotel, clinic or service area.
That distinction matters. The W57R isn’t a mobile phone, doesn’t take a SIM card and doesn’t connect directly to an analogue telephone line. Calls travel through the W70B, your LAN and the configured SIP phone system. Internal extension calling, transfers, hold, call waiting, three-way conferencing and other functions then depend partly on what the connected PABX provides.
Etisalat / e& and du business lines
If your Dubai office voice service comes through e& or du, the W77P is normally deployed behind the office IP PABX or through the SIP service supplied for that site. We check the PBX platform and available SIP credentials before configuration. The handset itself does not connect directly to a carrier SIM or standard analogue socket.
Yealink lists interoperability with SIP environments including 3CX and Asterisk, and the W70B supports standard SIP provisioning. If you already have an office telephone system, send us the PABX model before ordering. We can confirm the registration method rather than finding out during installation that the existing system has locked extensions or provider-specific settings.

Additional DECT handsets, RT30 repeaters, additional handset chargers, network switches and office PABX hardware are separate items. If the site needs more than one mobile user or has difficult coverage areas, tell us the number of users and floor layout before the quotation is prepared.
One W70B or a Bigger DECT System?
Ten handset registrations can sound like enough until you look at the building rather than the user count. A single W70B is a single-cell system. All registered handsets depend on coverage from that base, with RT30 repeaters available where the radio signal needs extending.
For one warehouse floor, a workshop, a small hotel back office or a clinic, that can be exactly the right arrangement. Put the W70B in a sensible central position and add repeaters only where the site survey shows a weak area.
A large property is different. If users need continuous roaming across several floors, separate buildings or a large campus, adding repeaters indefinitely isn’t the right design. Yealink also supports the W57R with its W80 and W90 multi-cell DECT systems, which are designed for larger roaming environments.
Don’t buy by handset count alone
Eight users in one compact workshop may suit a W70B. Four users moving between five concrete floors may not. DECT design depends on walls, floor slabs, lift cores, racking and roaming paths as much as the number of handsets.
Useful Yealink DECT Options to Compare or Add
The W77P isn’t the only way to build a cordless Yealink deployment. The right combination depends on how rough the working environment is, how many users need handsets and how far they move.
Yealink W57R — the rugged handset supplied with the W77P. Add more W57R units when several warehouse, maintenance or facilities staff need the same physical protection.
Yealink W74P — a current W7x-series option for buyers who need DECT mobility but don’t require a rugged 3.5-metre drop rating for every user.
Yealink W71P — an entry W7x system for lighter-duty office cordless requirements where impact resistance isn’t the buying reason.
Yealink W79P Pro / W59R Pro — worth comparing when the project calls for a higher-level rugged handset rather than the classic W57R supplied with W77P.
Yealink W75 Mini MC — the step to examine when a single-cell base and repeaters don’t match the roaming requirement and the site needs a small multi-cell design.
Yealink W70B — the same base used inside the W77P bundle, available for projects where handsets and bases are being specified separately.
Yealink RT20U / DECT coverage accessories — check the exact repeater required for the chosen base before ordering. For W77P planning, the verified W70B expansion option is the RT30.
Where We See the W77P Used in the UAE
Warehouses and logistics. A supervisor can carry the company extension between the receiving desk, storage aisles and loading area. Metal racking makes a coverage survey particularly useful because the real radio path rarely looks like the floor plan.
Hotels and hospitality. Engineering, housekeeping and back-of-house supervisors aren’t sitting at reception. A rugged DECT handset lets them answer internal and external business calls while moving through service corridors and operational areas.
Facilities and maintenance. Plant rooms are noisy, equipment gets knocked and Dubai HVAC systems run hard for much of the year. The W57R’s vibration alert, Flexible Noise Reduction, IP54 protection and 3.5-metre drop specification all have a practical reason to be there.
Clinics and shared operational areas. The W57R is specified as disinfectant resistant, which makes it more sensible for regularly cleaned shared equipment than treating a standard office handset as an industrial device.
W77P Supply and Installation in Dubai and Abu Dhabi
Yealink W77P UAE supply and installation is available across Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, Ajman, Ras Al Khaimah, Fujairah and Umm Al Quwain. Installation includes connecting the W70B to the network, registering the required SIP account, pairing the handset and checking basic call operation before handover.
For sites in JLT, DMCC or DIFC, don’t put the base inside a closed communications cabinet because that is where the network switch happens to be. Concrete service cores, foil-backed partitions and metal cabinets are not friendly to DECT radio. Base position is chosen for usable handset coverage as well as convenient cabling.
For an Abu Dhabi warehouse or a multi-floor Dubai property, send the approximate floor dimensions and number of users before installation. We can decide whether the project needs one W70B, RT30 coverage extension or a multi-cell DECT design instead of guessing from the headline 50-metre indoor range.

W77P for Africa and MEA Projects
Telecom resellers and PABX installers can order W77P project quantities from Dubai for deployments in Ghana, Nigeria, Kenya and Uganda, with Mozambique and Angola also covered for export orders. The combination of a SIP base and rugged handset suits hospitality, logistics and maintenance projects where staff need to move away from fixed desk phones.
FOB Dubai pricing is available for project quantities. Tell us how many W77P systems, additional handsets and repeaters are required so the shipment can be quoted as one bill of materials rather than separate accessories added later.
For larger sites, send the building type as well as the handset quantity. A 20-user installation spread across several structures may need a different DECT architecture from 20 users working in one open warehouse.
Export buyers can WhatsApp +971 55 986 3697 with destination, quantity and PABX platform for a project quotation from Dubai.
Security and IT Provisioning
The W70B supports TLS and SRTP for protected signalling and media, along with HTTPS, OpenVPN and encrypted configuration options. For an IT manager deploying several bases, the more useful detail is that configuration doesn’t have to be repeated handset by handset.
Yealink RPS and automatic provisioning can be used to prepare the W70B remotely, with provisioning supported over TFTP, FTP, HTTP and HTTPS. The base also has a web management interface. That is useful for a hotel group opening several properties or an operations business putting the same extension plan into several UAE branches.
We don’t list YMCS as a W77P feature on this page because the current product-specific material reviewed for this model doesn’t give us enough evidence to promise that management path. Better to state the provisioning methods Yealink documents for the W70B than turn a platform-level claim into a product guarantee.

Frequently Asked Questions
Will the W77P cover our whole Dubai warehouse?
Maybe, but don’t design it from the headline range alone. Yealink specifies up to 50 metres indoors and 300 metres outdoors under ideal conditions. Metal racking, concrete walls and fire doors reduce that. The W70B supports up to 6 RT30 repeaters, while larger roaming sites may be better served by a Yealink multi-cell DECT system.
Does the W77P really have 40 hours of talk time?
It depends on the W57R hardware version. Yealink lists W57R V0–V3 at up to 40 hours talk time and 575 hours standby under ideal conditions. W57R V4 is listed at up to 28 hours talk and 320 hours standby. We recommend confirming the hardware version of the stock being supplied rather than relying on an older generic listing.
Can I connect a third-party DECT handset to the W70B?
Don’t assume so. Yealink states that its DECT technology isn’t compatible with third-party DECT bases and handsets. The W70B supports a defined range of Yealink DECT endpoints. SIP compatibility with your PABX is separate from DECT compatibility between the base and handset.
Will the W77P work with our Etisalat/e& or du office phone service?
The W70B uses SIP over your IP network. In UAE business installations it is normally registered to the office PABX or compatible SIP service associated with the e& or du voice connection. It doesn’t accept a SIM card or plug directly into an analogue telephone socket. Send us your PABX model and we can check the intended setup before installation.
How many staff can use one W77P base?
The W70B supports up to 10 compatible Yealink DECT handsets and up to 10 SIP accounts, with up to 20 simultaneous calls at base level. Each handset can handle up to 2 simultaneous calls. The W77P box includes one W57R, so additional users require additional compatible handsets.
