Yealink MVC640 III Gen Microsoft Teams Room System Dubai
Ten people around a long meeting table. The finance director is at one end, the camera is at the other, and the ceiling AC is running hard because it’s August in Dubai. The Teams meeting starts on time, but somebody still has to move a laptop into the middle of the table so the remote side can see everyone. That’s usually the point where a proper Microsoft Teams Room starts making sense.
The Yealink MVC640 III Gen replaces that laptop arrangement with dedicated room hardware. The current MVC640-C4-F13 combines a UVC84 4K PTZ camera, MCore Pro mini-PC, 8-inch MTouch E2 controller, MSpeaker II, 2 × CPW65 wireless microphones and WPP30 wireless presentation pod. Yealink maps this configuration to meeting rooms with roughly 7–12 people. A good fit for medium boardrooms in Business Bay, JLT, DIFC or DMCC where the table is too long for a fixed webcam but the room doesn’t yet need a multi-camera AV system.

Is the MVC640 III Gen the Right Size for Your Room?
Room size matters more than the model number. Yealink’s current Design Center places the MVC640-C4-F13 in a medium Microsoft Teams room for around 7–12 people. That’s normally a rectangular boardroom with one main display or dual displays, a central table and enough camera-to-participant distance for the UVC84 PTZ camera to do its job properly.
The 80° diagonal field of view isn’t trying to capture an entire room with one ultra-wide image. Instead, the UVC84 gives you mechanical pan and tilt plus 12× optical zoom. That works well when the chairperson is several metres from the display or when somebody presents from the far end of the room. Optical zoom matters here: the camera changes focal length instead of simply enlarging a small crop of the picture.

Don’t size the room from the seat count alone
A 10-seat room with a short 3-metre table is very different from a 10-seat executive boardroom with seats spread over 7 metres. Glass walls, ceiling height, screen position and microphone placement change the result. Send us the room dimensions before ordering if the furthest participant sits well beyond the centre of the table.

The MVC640 III Gen is a Microsoft Teams Rooms on Windows system. The MCore Pro mini-PC is supplied with Windows 11 IoT Enterprise, the Microsoft Teams Rooms application and Yealink’s camera control software. Once the room account and calendar are configured, users don’t need to bring the meeting PC with them.
The meeting controls stay on the MTouch E2 at the table. Staff see the room calendar, join the booked Teams meeting and manage normal meeting functions without reaching behind the display. For an IT department managing several rooms in Abu Dhabi and Dubai, keeping the room computer separate from users’ laptops also removes a common source of meeting-day surprises: someone changing the display setting, disconnecting the USB camera or walking away with the cable the room depended on.
What the MVC640-C4-F13 Actually Includes
This page refers to the current III-generation C4-F13 configuration. That’s important because the MVC640 name has been used across more than one hardware generation. When we’re quoting an MVC640 III Gen UAE project, the component list needs to be checked rather than assuming an older MVC640 bundle is the same system.
UVC84 — camera for the far end of the table
The UVC84 uses a 4K sensor with 12× optical zoom and another 3× digital zoom. Its diagonal field of view is 80°, with mechanical pan movement across 200° and tilt movement across 130°. Auto Framing can adjust the shot as occupancy changes, while saved camera presets are useful when the room alternates between the boardroom table and a presentation position beside the display.
2 × CPW65 — no microphone cable across the table
The C4-F13 configuration uses two CPW65 DECT wireless array microphones. Each unit has 3 built-in microphones with 360° pickup rated to 3 metres, full-duplex audio, echo cancellation and capacitive mute controls. Battery life is rated up to 13 hours of talk time with up to 11 days on standby. For a Dubai boardroom with polished stone flooring and no floor box near the centre of the table, wireless mics avoid running a visible microphone cable across the furniture.
MCore Pro + MTouch E2 — the room computer stays out of sight
MCore Pro uses an 11th Gen Intel Core i5 processor with 8GB memory and a 128GB SSD. It provides 3 HDMI outputs with CEC support plus 4 USB 3.0 ports. The MTouch E2 controller gives users an 8-inch 1280 × 800 IPS touchscreen with 10-point touch, a human motion sensor and an adjustable 28°–50° viewing angle. The controller also supports HDMI and USB-C video input for wired content sharing.
The bundle also includes MSpeaker II for room playback, the WDD60 required for the CPW65 microphone connection and a WPP30 presentation pod for wireless content sharing. For larger room designs or installations that need different audio hardware, the MVC640 base configuration can be built around the UVC84, MCore Pro and MTouch E2 and then paired with suitable components from the wider Yealink video conferencing range.
The UVC84 Camera: Why 12× Optical Zoom Matters
A medium boardroom doesn’t always need an ultra-wide camera. If the display is on the short wall and participants sit several metres deep into the room, reach matters. The UVC84’s 12× optical zoom lets the lens move in on the speaker without throwing away the original sensor detail first. There’s also 3× digital zoom available after that.
Mechanical movement gives the camera a ±100° pan range and tilt from +40° to -90°. That makes installation position less restrictive than a fixed camera. We can mount it above or below the main display depending on sightline, then set the framing after the table and chairs are in their real positions. For a room with a side presentation wall, presets can move between a seated boardroom view and the presenter position without somebody touching the camera.
Auto Framing is useful when room attendance changes throughout the day. A 12-seat room may have 4 people at 9AM and all 12 after lunch. Rather than leaving a wide shot full of empty chairs, the camera adjusts the composition around the people it detects. Particularly useful in shared meeting rooms where nobody wants to learn PTZ controls before joining a call.
Audio for Glass-Wall Dubai Boardrooms
Camera quality is easy to demonstrate. Audio is where poorly planned meeting rooms usually fail. Glass partitions in DIFC and DMCC offices reflect speech, hard floors bounce chair noise, and ceiling HVAC adds a constant background layer. Moving the microphones closer to the people is normally more useful than asking one microphone beside the display to hear the whole table.
That’s why the C4-F13 configuration uses two CPW65 units on the table. Each microphone covers 360° around its position with a rated 3-metre voice pickup. With two units, placement can be split along the table instead of forcing every participant to speak toward the display. The microphones use DECT wireless technology, so the table stays clean — especially useful where the office fit-out has no floor box or the boardroom table can’t be drilled.
MSpeaker II handles playback into the room. During installation we place and test the microphones with the actual table layout rather than treating the published pickup figure as a guarantee for every room. HVAC level, glass, ceiling height and where people actually sit all change what the far side hears.

WPP30 Sharing — When the Visitor Isn’t Joining from the Room Account
The room may belong to Microsoft Teams, but the people walking into it won’t always do things the same way. A consultant arrives with a presentation on a Windows laptop. A supplier has a deck on a MacBook. Someone from another office just wants their screen on the 75-inch display without emailing the file to anybody. The WPP30 in the MVC640-C4-F13 configuration handles that job without turning the meeting table into a cable collection.
Plug the WPP30 into the laptop and use it for wireless presentation to the room display. No need to crawl under the table looking for the HDMI lead that disappeared after the previous meeting. This is particularly useful in shared DIFC and Business Bay meeting rooms where outside visitors use the room every week and IT doesn’t want guest laptops connected directly to the MCore Pro.
The MTouch E2 also provides HDMI and USB-C video input for wired sharing when that is preferred. During installation, we test the actual sharing route your staff will use rather than leaving three different options on the table with nobody knowing which one is intended. Can the MVC640 Use Your Etisalat or du Office Number?
The MVC640 itself isn’t a SIP desk phone and shouldn’t be specified as though the UVC84 or MCore Pro registers directly to an office PABX. Standard telephone calling from a Microsoft Teams Room is handled through Microsoft Teams Phone. The room’s Microsoft 365 resource account can be enabled for PSTN calling when the organisation has the required Teams Phone licensing and a supported PSTN connection.
That connection can be built using Microsoft’s supported Teams Phone methods, including Direct Routing where an organisation connects its existing carrier or SBC environment into Teams. For a Dubai company already using an Etisalat/e& or du business voice service, the correct design depends on how that service is delivered and how the Microsoft tenant has been configured. We check that before promising a dial pad on the room controller.
If your main requirement is traditional SIP extensions rather than Teams Rooms, use dedicated Yealink IP phones for the desk-phone side of the system. The MVC640 remains the meeting-room endpoint. Two different jobs, even when both ultimately reach the same organisation’s telephone environment.
MVC640 Installation in Dubai and Abu Dhabi
A box of Teams Room hardware isn’t a finished Teams Room. The camera position has to match the table, both CPW65 microphones need sensible placement, the speaker has to cover the seating area, displays need the correct MCore Pro outputs, and the room account must sign in cleanly before users arrive on Monday morning.
Room check — confirm table length, seat positions, display size, camera height, network point, power, cable route and the location of the MCore Pro.
Fit and configure — mount the UVC84, connect the display path, place the 2 CPW65 microphones, connect MSpeaker II, position MTouch E2 and sign in with the Microsoft Teams Rooms resource account.
Live room test — check calendar join, camera movement, framing, content sharing, microphone pickup from both ends of the table and speaker level before handover.

Where the MVC640 Makes Sense in a UAE Office
One common MVC640 room is the management boardroom: 8 to 12 fixed seats, one wall dedicated to the displays and people regularly presenting from both ends of the table. The 12× optical zoom gives the UVC84 enough reach to frame somebody who isn’t sitting directly in front of the screen, while the two CPW65 microphones put pickup closer to the people instead of asking one microphone near the TV to hear everything.
Another is the project room. Construction, logistics, engineering and finance teams may sit around the same table for several Teams calls every day, sharing drawings, spreadsheets and dashboards. The MTouch E2 stays in the room, the WPP30 handles guest presentations, and the Teams calendar belongs to the room rather than whoever happened to bring a laptop.
For a DMCC company with one office in Dubai and another meeting space in Abu Dhabi, identical room hardware also makes support easier. Same controller. Same camera behaviour. Same meeting workflow. Staff don’t need a separate instruction sheet for each site.
Remote Management for Multi-Room Teams Deployments
The MVC640 sits inside the Microsoft Teams Rooms management environment rather than behaving like an isolated USB camera. IT can manage the room account, meeting policies and Teams Rooms configuration centrally. Yealink also provides device-management tooling for supported room hardware, giving administrators another route to monitor and diagnose deployed Yealink devices.
That becomes useful once there are 6, 12 or 30 rooms instead of one. An IT manager in JLT shouldn’t have to drive to an Abu Dhabi office because somebody reports that a meeting-room camera isn’t behaving as expected. Central monitoring and remote diagnosis reduce unnecessary room visits and make multi-site support more predictable.

This page is for the MVC640 III-generation configuration based on UVC84, MCore Pro and MTouch E2. The C4-F13 room configuration also uses 2 × CPW65 wireless microphones, MSpeaker II and WPP30. We don’t mix old MVC640 component specifications into this configuration.
Will the MVC640 cover our 12-person boardroom?
The C4-F13 configuration is designed around approximately 7–12 people, but table length matters. Two CPW65 microphones each have a rated 3-metre, 360° pickup area. Send us the room dimensions if the 12 seats are spread along a particularly long table or if glass and HVAC noise make the room acoustically difficult.
Does the MVC640 run Zoom as well as Microsoft Teams?
The MVC640 configuration on this page is a Microsoft Teams Rooms on Windows system. If your organisation needs a dedicated Zoom Rooms system, tell us before ordering so the room is specified around the correct Yealink platform rather than assuming the Teams kit is the same thing.
Can we make normal Etisalat or du phone calls from the room?
PSTN calling can be enabled through Microsoft Teams Phone when the room resource account has the required licensing and your Microsoft environment has a supported PSTN connection. The MVC640 isn’t registered directly to your PABX as a standard SIP desk phone. We check the Teams Phone and carrier setup before configuring room calling.
Do you install the MVC640 in Abu Dhabi as well as Dubai?
