Six chairs. One 55-inch display. Glass wall on one side, ceiling AC directly above the table, and a laptop that seems to disappear whenever the person who normally runs the meeting is on leave. That setup is common in small Dubai meeting rooms. The problem isn’t Microsoft Teams. It’s the room hardware around it.
The Yealink MVC400 III-gen turns that room into a dedicated Microsoft Teams Room. The current kit combines the UVC40 camera and audio bar, MCore Pro Windows mini-PC and MTouch E2 touch console. Walk in, see the scheduled Teams meeting on the panel, tap join, and start. No employee laptop needs to become the meeting-room computer.
For a typical 3-to-7-person room in JLT, DMCC, Business Bay or DIFC, that matters more than it sounds. Staff don’t have to reconnect USB cables every morning, guests aren’t leaning over the table looking for an HDMI port, and IT isn’t explaining which webcam to choose inside Teams. MVC400 III-gen — What Has Actually Changed
If you’ve seen an older MVC400 quotation or an old product page, check the bundle before comparing specifications. The III-generation MVC400 uses the MCore Pro computing unit and MTouch E2 control panel with the UVC40. Older MVC400 configurations should not be mixed into the current specification sheet.
MCore Pro — more than a hidden mini-PC
The III-gen kit uses an 11th Gen Intel Core i5 platform with 8GB memory and 128GB SSD storage. It also supports three HDMI display outputs, useful when a room needs more than a simple single-screen layout. CEC and EDID support help the room PC handle connected displays in a more controlled way instead of treating every screen as an unknown device each time the system wakes.
MTouch E2 at the table
The 8-inch MTouch E2 becomes the user’s control point. Meeting join, room controls and presentation functions stay at the table while the Windows compute hardware remains mounted away from users. The panel has a 1280 × 800 IPS display, 10-point capacitive touch and an adjustable viewing angle from 28° to 50°.
That distinction matters on a page refresh. A buyer ordering Yealink MVC400 Dubai in 2026 should be looking at the III-gen configuration, not buying against a specification copied from an earlier version of the same product name.
Which Dubai Meeting Room Does the MVC400 Fit?
Yealink maps the MVC400 III-gen to small rooms of roughly 3 to 7 people. Think interview room, manager meeting room, project room, legal consultation room or compact boardroom. A table with six chairs and one front display is where the system makes sense.
The 133° diagonal camera view is useful when seats are fairly close to the display wall. That happens often in converted Dubai offices where glass partitions create smaller rooms inside a larger floor plate. You don’t have much camera-to-table distance, so a narrow lens would cut off people sitting close to the left and right edges.

Don’t stretch a small-room kit into a long boardroom
If the table regularly seats more than 7 people, or participants are sitting well beyond the recommended camera and microphone zone, move up to a larger Yealink Microsoft Teams Room system. A wide camera doesn’t fix poor audio coverage at the far end of a long table.
The UVC40 Camera and Audio Bar
The front-of-room device does two jobs: camera and room audio. The UVC40 uses a 20MP sensor with 8x electronic pan, tilt and zoom. Its 133° diagonal field of view covers people sitting relatively close to the screen without forcing the installer to move the camera several metres back.
Auto Framing adjusts the shot around the people actually in the room. Three people arrive for a meeting booked for six? The image tightens instead of leaving half the frame empty. Speaker Tracking follows the active speaker so remote participants aren’t staring at one fixed wide view while somebody talks from the end of the table.

The UVC40 specification gives the 8-MEMS microphone array up to 7 metres of voice pickup. Yealink’s own room-deployment guidance marks around 6 metres as the high-quality working area. That’s the number we’d use when judging whether the far seat on your table will sound right. Maximum detection distance and good meeting-room audio are not the same thing.
That becomes especially relevant in Dubai offices with hard floors, exposed ceilings and glass partitions. The room itself can throw sound back toward the microphones while the HVAC contributes a constant background layer. Room size and seating distance still need checking even when the headline pickup number looks generous.

The MVC400 III-gen is built around Microsoft Teams Rooms on Windows. The room gets its own Teams Room identity and calendar rather than borrowing whichever employee laptop happens to be connected that day. Meetings appear on the MTouch E2. Staff tap the scheduled call and join.
For IT teams, that also makes the room easier to treat as part of the wider Microsoft estate. Instead of seven employees having seven different laptop configurations, the meeting room has one known hardware set: one compute unit, one touch panel and one UVC40 front-of-room device.
The MVC400 sits inside our Yealink Microsoft Teams range and video conferencing systems. For a Dubai office standardising several small Teams rooms, using the same room architecture across each space also gives support staff fewer variations to troubleshoot.
Before You Order — Check the Room, Not Just the Seat Count
A six-seat room in Abu Dhabi can be very different from a six-seat room in Dubai. One may be 3.5 metres deep with a compact table. Another may be a narrow converted boardroom with the last chair pushed nearly 7 metres from the camera. Same number of chairs. Different result.
We check camera distance, far-seat microphone position, display size, cable route, network point and the planned location of the MCore Pro before installation. Glass partitions matter as well. So does the AC vent directly over the table. These aren’t brochure details, but they’re the details that decide whether the room sounds normal on Monday morning.
Room-size warning
Don’t choose the MVC400 because the room is labelled “small” on a floor plan. Send the actual table length and camera-to-farthest-seat distance. If the room stretches beyond the practical UVC40 audio zone, a larger MVC configuration with separate room audio is the safer choice.
Content Sharing and BYOD — What Happens When a Guest Brings a Laptop?
A dedicated Teams Room doesn’t mean every visitor has to use your company Teams account. Client meetings are different. One consultant arrives with a presentation on a Windows laptop. Another wants to show drawings from a MacBook. Someone else just needs the room display for ten minutes without joining a call.
MTouch E2 provides HDMI and USB-C presentation input for wired content sharing. The useful part is location: those connections are at the table rather than buried behind the 55-inch display. Nobody needs to crawl underneath the screen looking for a loose HDMI lead while six people wait.
For rooms where cables aren’t wanted on the table, the optional Yealink wireless presentation and BYOD range includes the WPP30. The presentation pod is a sensible addition in client-facing rooms where different laptops arrive throughout the week and IT doesn’t want users changing the permanent Teams Room wiring.
This is particularly useful in DIFC and DMCC meeting rooms where outside advisers, auditors and customers use the room as often as internal staff. Keep the MVC400 configured as the room system. Give visitors a controlled presentation path instead of letting each person rebuild the meeting-room setup from their own laptop.
Can the MVC400 Work With Your Office PABX?
Yes, but the connection is through Microsoft Teams Phone architecture. The MVC400 III-gen isn’t treated like a SIP desk phone that you register directly to an IP-PBX with a username and password. The room account lives in Microsoft Teams, and external telephone calling is provided through the Teams tenant.
If your Dubai office already has an on-premise PABX or an existing carrier connection, Microsoft Direct Routing can connect that telephony environment to Teams through a certified Session Border Controller. That allows the Teams deployment to retain existing PSTN infrastructure where the design supports it.
Operator Connect is another Teams Phone route where an approved telecom operator provides PSTN connectivity into the Microsoft tenant. Which method suits an Etisalat/e& or du deployment depends on the tenant licences, carrier service and existing voice design. We confirm that before promising a telephone-number function on the room.
Don’t order the room kit assuming it replaces the PABX
The MVC400 is a Microsoft Teams Rooms system. PSTN calling needs the correct Teams Phone licensing and voice-routing setup. If you need the room to dial UAE landline or mobile numbers, tell us before installation so the Teams tenant and telephone architecture can be checked first.
Managing Several MVC400 Rooms From IT
One room is easy to inspect. Fifteen rooms spread across Dubai and Abu Dhabi are different. IT shouldn’t have to send someone from floor to floor just to find out whether a camera, touch panel or room PC is online.
The MVC400 sits inside the Microsoft Teams Rooms management environment, giving administrators visibility of the room account and Teams Room status. Yealink’s management tools add device-side monitoring and remote diagnosis for supported room hardware. That matters when several Yealink rooms use the same UVC40, MTouch and MCore architecture.
For a UAE rollout, we’d rather know remotely that a room in Abu Dhabi has a peripheral issue before somebody drives there. Same in a multi-floor Business Bay office. Device management isn’t exciting during the purchase meeting, but it becomes important six months later when every room is booked from 9AM onward.

The hardware is only half the room. We install the MVC400 III-gen, connect the MCore Pro, place the MTouch E2 where users can reach it, mount and position the UVC40, connect the display and join the system to the customer’s Microsoft Teams Rooms environment. Installation is included rather than treated as an extra line after the hardware arrives.

Where the MVC400 Makes Sense in a UAE Office
Professional-services firms are an obvious fit. A six-seat consultation room in DIFC doesn’t need a huge PTZ camera hanging from the ceiling, but it does need predictable Teams calls with clients in London, Riyadh or Singapore. The MVC400 keeps the hardware proportionate to the room.
The same applies to HR interview rooms, project rooms, sales meeting spaces and management offices. In JLT and DMCC, many of these rooms are carved from larger floors using glass partitions. The 133° camera view helps where seats sit relatively close to the front wall, while the 6m planning zone for voice pickup gives us a much better installation limit than simply counting chairs.

This page is for the MVC400 III-generation configuration using UVC40, MCore Pro and MTouch E2. Older MVC400 specifications shouldn’t be used to compare this kit. When requesting a quotation, ask for the current III-gen configuration.
Will the MVC400 cover a room with 8 or 10 people?
We wouldn’t choose it on seat count alone. Yealink maps this configuration to roughly 3–7 people, and its room guidance puts the stronger UVC40 microphone working zone around 6 metres. If the last chair is well outside that area, move to a larger MVC system rather than stretching the MVC400.
Our company uses Teams, but clients sometimes send Zoom or Google Meet links. What happens?
The MVC400 is designed as a Microsoft Teams Room. Guest-meeting behaviour depends on the meeting service, your Microsoft Teams Rooms environment and the meeting policy in use. For regular laptop-led meetings, we can also plan an appropriate presentation or BYOD path instead of assuming every external call behaves like a native Teams meeting.
Can the MVC400 use our Etisalat/e& or du business telephone service?
PSTN calling is handled through Microsoft Teams Phone rather than direct SIP registration on the MVC400. Depending on the customer’s Microsoft environment, existing voice infrastructure can be connected through options such as Direct Routing or an eligible operator service. We check the Teams Phone licensing and voice design before configuring telephone-number calling.
