Yealink MP55 E2 Dubai

Yealink MP55 E2 Dubai

Your reception desk has Teams calling, an old SIP extension and a queue that doesn’t stop at 10AM. The last thing the receptionist needs is to hunt through touchscreen menus just to hold, transfer or pick up another line.

That’s where the Yealink MP55 E2 makes sense. It uses a 4.3-inch 480 × 272 colour display with physical call controls and 10 LED line keys, so busy front desks, call-centre seats and shared workstations can handle calls quickly without depending on a large touchscreen. Dedicated keys cover Hold, Transfer, Redial and Speakerphone. Simple. Familiar.

The MP55 E2 runs Android 15 on Microsoft Device Ecosystem Platform and is built for Microsoft Teams calling. SIP & Teams Hybrid mode also gives Dubai companies a practical route when Teams is being introduced alongside an existing SIP phone environment rather than replacing everything on day one.

For connectivity, you get dual Gigabit Ethernet, IEEE 802.3af Class 3 PoE, dual-band Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.0 and a USB-A port. Audio features include Yealink Optima HD Voice, AI Noise Cancellation, Acoustic Shield, full-duplex speakerphone with echo cancellation and a hearing-aid-compatible handset.

That combination fits reception counters in Business Bay, customer-service desks in JLT and shared phone positions in DIFC where staff need physical keys, clear voice and Microsoft Teams access without turning every call into a screen-navigation exercise.

Yealink MP55 E2 UAE supply and installation is available across Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah and all 7 UAE emirates through Yealink Dubai, an authorised Yealink distributor.

Description

Yealink MP55 E2 Microsoft Teams Desk Phone Dubai

It is 9:10 in a Dubai reception area. Three calls are waiting, somebody from accounts needs a transfer, a courier is standing at the desk, and the receptionist is trying to work out which soft button now means Hold. That is exactly the wrong moment for a phone to make basic call handling complicated.

The Yealink MP55 E2 is built around that type of desk. A 4.3-inch non-touch colour screen keeps information visible while physical controls handle the jobs staff repeat all day: Hold, Transfer, Redial and Speakerphone. There are 10 line keys with LED indicators, a dedicated Microsoft Teams button and a magnetic handset that sits properly back in the cradle. For a front desk in Business Bay, a call-centre row in JLT or a shared phone position behind a glass reception partition in DIFC, those details matter more than having a large touchscreen.

A Teams Phone for Desks Where Calls Still Matter

Some Teams users live almost entirely in chat and scheduled meetings. Receptionists, customer-service staff, security desks and switchboard operators don’t. Their working day is still built around incoming calls, transfers, line status and getting the next caller to the right person without holding up the queue.

That is the MP55 E2’s job. Yealink gives it 10 physical line keys with LEDs so staff can read line or contact status without opening another screen. Four dedicated feature keys cover Hold, Transfer, Redial and Speakerphone. Volume controls, navigation keys, OK and Cancel are separate again. Teams, headset and mute functions have their own controls as well. Fewer trips through menus. More muscle memory after a few days at the desk.

It sits inside the Yealink Microsoft Teams phone range, but it is quite different from a large-screen executive phone. The display is deliberately 4.3 inches and non-touch. If the user spends eight hours handling voice calls rather than opening calendars and tapping through applications, physical controls can be the better interface.

The 10 Line Keys Are the Point

10 LED line keys for call-heavy desks

The MP55 E2 has 10 line keys with LED indicators. A receptionist or service agent can keep an eye on several lines or assigned contacts and use physical keys rather than relying only on screen controls. Add separate Hold, Transfer and Redial keys and the layout starts to make sense for repetitive call handling.

Picture a DMCC reception desk during the morning rush. One caller needs sales. Another has been parked for accounts. A third is asking for a manager who is already busy. The user doesn’t need a prettier home screen at that moment. They need obvious keys, visible status and a handset they can grab without thinking.

The phone also supports Common Area Phone use, which opens another deployment route for shared counters, security positions, warehouse offices, school administration areas and other places where the telephone belongs to the location rather than permanently to one individual.

Clear Calls When the Office Isn’t Quiet

Dubai offices aren’t acoustic test rooms. HVAC runs hard for much of the year. Reception desks sit near lifts and entrance doors. Customer-service teams often work shoulder-to-shoulder. Add conversations reflecting off glass partitions and hard floors and the microphone has plenty of unwanted sound to deal with.

AI Noise Cancellation + Acoustic Shield

Yealink combines AI Noise Cancellation with Acoustic Shield to reduce surrounding office sound reaching the far end. Think keyboard noise, nearby conversations and steady HVAC sound behind a receptionist. The MP55 E2 also supports full-duplex hands-free calling with acoustic echo cancellation, so both sides can speak naturally rather than waiting for the speakerphone to switch direction.

The handset is hearing-aid compatible, and both handset and hands-free modes support HD voice. Yealink lists SILK, G.722, G.722.1, G.722.1C, G.711 A-law/µ-law, G.723, G.726, G.729AB, iLBC and ARES among the supported audio codecs. Those numbers aren’t something the receptionist needs to remember. They matter to the engineer checking how the phone will behave across the existing voice network.

There is also a 3W loudspeaker for hands-free use. For a noisy open counter, a headset will normally make more sense for long calls; the USB-A and RJ9 headset interfaces give the installation team options. Our Yealink headset range can be paired with the phone when the user needs more privacy or spends most of the shift on calls.

Android 15 and Microsoft MDEP — What IT Actually Gets

Under the keys and handset, the MP55 E2 runs Android 15 and is built on Microsoft Device Ecosystem Platform. MDEP uses Microsoft PKI and hardware-based attestation to protect communication between the device and cloud services during enrolment. Hardware identity and policy-based controls are part of that design.

Built for centrally managed phone estates

An IT team with 5 phones can configure them individually. At 50 or 200 phones across Dubai and Abu Dhabi, that stops being sensible. The MP55 E2 supports Microsoft device management plus Yealink YDMP/YMCS, browser configuration, phone-side configuration, auto-provisioning, RPS and QoE monitoring reports. Yealink also supports real-time management alarms, including poor call-quality events.

Network controls include IPv4 and IPv6, static or DHCP addressing, HTTPS, TLS 1.3, WPA2/WPA3 wireless security, IEEE 802.1X and AES protection for configuration files. That’s useful when the phone is going into a financial office in DIFC, a government reception point or any managed network where plugging an unmanaged endpoint into the voice VLAN isn’t acceptable.

Microsoft currently lists the MP55 E2 as an Android 15 certified Teams phone with a certification lifecycle extending to 15 October 2030. For an IT manager planning a multi-year desk-phone rollout, the date is more useful than vague language about future support.

Ethernet, PoE, Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.0

There are two Gigabit Ethernet ports on the phone, with IEEE 802.3af Class 3 Power over Ethernet. In a normal office deployment, one network cable can carry both data and power to the desk. The second Gigabit port can then be used for the connected workstation where the network design allows it.

No PoE at the desk? Yealink lists a 5V/2A AC power adaptor as an optional item. Don’t assume it is in the carton. We check the switch and desk cabling before quoting multi-phone rollouts so the delivery isn’t followed by 30 phones waiting for power supplies.

For sites where running another data cable is awkward, built-in dual-band Wi-Fi 6 covers 2.4GHz and 5GHz connections. Bluetooth 5.0 is built in too. A USB Type-A port supports a USB headset or flash drive, while dedicated RJ9 ports are provided for the handset and a wired headset.

Maximum power consumption is listed at 7.0W whether powered from PoE or the optional PSU. The phone measures 234 × 212 × 85 × 55mm, so it does not take up the same amount of counter space as a large touchscreen console. Useful on tight reception desks where there is already a visitor log, card machine, monitor and half the stationery cupboard fighting for space.

Platform Compatibility — What the MP55 E2 Is Built For

Microsoft Teams ✓
Teams Phone ✓
SIP + Teams Hybrid ✓
Common Area Phone ✓
Microsoft Management ✓
Yealink YMCS / YDMP ✓

The MP55 E2 is a Microsoft Teams phone first. It supports cloud PSTN calling, Teams call controls, visual voicemail and synchronized call logs. A dedicated Teams key gives the user a direct route into the Teams phone interface without turning normal call handling into a touchscreen workflow.

Hybrid mode is important for UAE businesses that aren’t replacing the entire voice environment in one weekend. Teams can sit alongside SIP calling while the business moves users or departments in stages. The exact PBX and Etisalat/du design depends on the customer’s voice service and will be covered in the PABX section of this page rather than assuming every SIP deployment is wired the same way.

Which Desk Should Get an MP55 E2?

Work Position Call Pattern MP55 E2 Fit
Reception / Front Desk Frequent answering, hold and transfer Strong fit — physical call keys and 10 LED line keys
Call-Centre Desk High call volume, headset use Strong fit — USB/RJ9 headset support and dedicated call controls
Shared / Common Area Location-based calling rather than one permanent user Strong fit — Common Area Phone support
General Office Desk Regular voice calls with Teams Good fit where physical keys are preferred
Executive / Heavy On-Screen User Frequent directory, calendar and screen interaction Consider a larger-screen Teams phone instead

Not the right fit?

If the user wants a large touchscreen for frequent directory browsing, calendar work and on-screen interaction, don’t choose the MP55 E2 just because it carries a Teams badge. Its 4.3-inch display is non-touch by design. Look at the wider Yealink Microsoft Teams phone range and match the handset to the user’s actual working pattern. For reception, call-centre and shared desks where physical call control matters, the MP55 E2 is the more natural layout.

Teams and SIP on the Same Desk — Where Hybrid Mode Helps

A Dubai company moving to Teams Phone rarely replaces every voice service, PBX route and desk handset on the same Friday night. Reception may still need a SIP account while office users move to Teams. Another branch may stay on the existing phone system for a few months. The MP55 E2 supports SIP & Teams Hybrid mode for exactly this sort of staged deployment.

That doesn’t mean every PBX should be connected without checking the design first. Hybrid mode lets the phone operate with Teams and SIP calling, but the SIP account, PBX registration method, SBC design and dial plan still need to match the customer’s system. During installation we confirm those details before registering the phone.

Useful during a phased Teams migration

Keep a SIP calling requirement at the desk while introducing Microsoft Teams Phone for the user. This is useful for reception desks, branch offices and customer-service positions where the old PBX cannot simply disappear on day one.

For Etisalat/e& and du business voice services, we check how the customer’s numbers are currently delivered before promising a connection method. Some deployments route calling through an existing PBX or SBC; others use Microsoft Teams Phone architecture. The MP55 E2 should be configured to that design rather than treated as a telephone that can be plugged directly into any carrier service with no provisioning.

What Comes in the MP55 E2 Box?

Included: Yealink MP55 E2 IP phone, handset, handset cord, desk stand, 2-metre Cat5e Ethernet cable and quick-start guide.

The stand supports normal desk installation. If the phone is going onto a wall beside a security counter, warehouse entrance or clinic reception point, plan the mounting hardware at quotation stage rather than assuming it is packed with the phone.

Not included as standard — order separately if needed

5V/2A Yealink power adaptor and wall-mount bracket are optional. If your network switch provides IEEE 802.3af PoE, a separate power adaptor normally isn’t required. Headsets are also ordered separately — see the Yealink headset range in Dubai for call-centre and reception deployments.

Installation for One Phone — or 100 Desks

A single MP55 E2 can be placed on a desk quickly. A business rollout needs more thought. VLAN, PoE availability, Teams account policy, SIP requirements, wireless settings, headset choice and device management should be decided before cartons are opened across an entire office.

1

Check the desk — Confirm Ethernet, PoE, Wi-Fi requirement, headset type and whether the user is Teams-only or needs SIP & Teams Hybrid mode.

2

Configure the phone — Connect it to the required network, sign in to the Microsoft environment, apply the customer’s calling configuration and register SIP where the approved design requires it.

3

Test real call handling — Incoming call, outgoing call, hold, transfer, headset audio and the user’s normal dialling route are checked before handover.

Installation is included with Yealink Dubai supply, not added later as a surprise line item. We handle Yealink MP55 E2 UAE deployments across Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, Ajman, Ras Al Khaimah, Fujairah and Umm Al Quwain. For 20, 50 or 100-phone projects, desk configuration can be standardised before the rollout so every receptionist or agent isn’t setting up the same phone manually.

Where We Would Actually Use the MP55 E2

Reception desks: The 10 LED line keys and physical Hold and Transfer controls suit a user who spends the day moving calls between departments. A magnetic handset also sounds like a tiny detail until you’ve watched a front-desk phone get picked up and dropped back into its cradle 100 times in a shift.

Call centres and service desks: USB-A, RJ9 and Bluetooth give several headset routes. AI Noise Cancellation and Acoustic Shield help when agents are working close together and the caller shouldn’t hear every conversation from the next desk.

Shared and common-area positions: Security desks, school administration counters, clinic reception areas and back-office service counters don’t always belong to one permanent employee. Common Area Phone support makes the MP55 E2 relevant to these fixed-location roles.

For a DIFC executive who wants a bigger interactive screen and spends more time navigating contacts and on-screen Teams functions, we’d look higher in the range. For a JLT receptionist who answers, parks and transfers calls all day, the MP55 E2’s physical layout is usually the more sensible conversation.

Related Yealink Products — Build the Desk Around the User

Not every desk should get the same handset. A 60-seat office can easily need three or four phone types once reception, managers, common areas and call-heavy users are separated properly.

Yealink MP52 E2 — consider this for common-area positions where the user doesn’t need the MP55 E2’s 10-line-key layout.

Yealink MP54 E2 — a general-office Teams handset for desks where regular voice calling matters but call handling isn’t as intense as reception.

Yealink MP56 E2 — move here when the user needs more screen interaction at an office or front-desk position.

Yealink MP58-WH E2 — aimed at professionals and executive desks where a larger display and higher-tier desktop experience make more sense.

Yealink WH64 headsets — useful for agents who need to move away from the desk while keeping the call in their headset.

Yealink UH-series wired headsets — a straightforward choice for fixed call-centre desks where the user stays at the workstation.

Yealink SIP IP phones — worth reviewing when a site remains primarily on a conventional SIP PBX rather than Microsoft Teams Phone.

MP55 E2 Supply for Abu Dhabi and Multi-Site UAE Offices

The Yealink MP55 E2 UAE requirement often isn’t one phone. It is 12 phones in Dubai reception and customer service, another 8 in Abu Dhabi, then a smaller Sharjah branch that needs the same button behaviour and management policy. Standardising the model and configuration makes that easier for the IT team supporting all three locations.

For multi-site projects we can supply and configure the handsets as one deployment rather than treating every branch as a separate purchase. That includes checking PoE availability, Teams account requirements, SIP hybrid requirements and headset quantities before dispatch.

Yealink MP55 E2 Export from Dubai

Telecom resellers and IT distributors can order MP55 E2 project quantities for Nigeria, Ghana, Kenya, Uganda, Mozambique and Angola from Dubai. We handle multi-unit desk-phone requirements for call centres, corporate offices and PABX/Teams migration projects rather than limiting export supply to single pieces.

FOB Dubai pricing is available for project quantities, with cartons prepared for onward freight through the buyer’s nominated forwarder. For mixed projects, MP55 E2 phones can be quoted alongside Yealink headsets and other desk endpoints in the same order.

Send the destination country, required quantity and whether the deployment is Teams-only or SIP & Teams Hybrid. That last detail helps us catch accessory or configuration requirements before the shipment leaves Dubai.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is the MP55 E2 touchscreen, or do staff use physical keys?

The 4.3-inch 480 × 272 colour display is non-touch. Call handling is built around physical controls, including 10 LED line keys plus dedicated Hold, Transfer, Redial and Speakerphone keys. That’s one reason the phone suits reception and high-call-volume desks.

Can we use Microsoft Teams and our existing SIP phone system on the MP55 E2?

The MP55 E2 supports SIP & Teams Hybrid mode. Whether it fits your existing PBX depends on the SIP registration, dial plan and network design in use. We check those details before configuration rather than assuming every PBX installation is identical.

Will the MP55 E2 work with our Etisalat/e& or du business number?

It depends on how that business voice service is delivered. The number may route through your PBX, SBC or Microsoft Teams Phone environment rather than register directly to the handset. Send us the current voice setup and we can confirm the correct MP55 E2 deployment path before purchase.

Do I need a power adaptor for every MP55 E2?

Not when the desk network provides IEEE 802.3af PoE. One Ethernet cable can carry network and power to the phone. If PoE is unavailable, the optional Yealink 5V/2A power adaptor is required. The adaptor is not a standard in-box item.

Is this the right Yealink Teams phone for a Dubai reception or call centre?

That is one of its strongest use cases. Yealink designed the MP55 E2 for front desks, call centres and common areas. The 10 LED line keys, physical call controls, headset connections, AI Noise Cancellation and Acoustic Shield are more relevant to a busy call-handling desk than a large touchscreen would be.

Is the Yealink MP55 E2 in stock in Dubai, and can you install it in Abu Dhabi?

Yes. The MP55 E2 is supplied from Dubai with installation across Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Sharjah and all 7 UAE emirates. Same-day quotations and project quantities are available on WhatsApp +971 55 986 3697. For larger rollouts, send the number of desks and locations so PoE, headset and Teams/SIP requirements can be quoted together.
