Description
Yealink EHS60 Wireless Headset Adapter for Desk Phones Dubai
A reception desk in JLT can have a Cisco phone, a Yealink WH62 headset and a perfectly good wireless range — yet the receptionist still reaches across the desk every time the phone rings. Same when the call ends. The headset carries the audio, but the desk phone is still controlling the call.
That is the exact problem the Yealink EHS60 solves. It sits between a supported third-party desk phone and a compatible Yealink wireless headset system, passing call-control commands between them. Answer. Hang up. Reject. Hold. Change volume. On supported Cisco installations, mute control is also available. Small adapter. Very specific job.

What the EHS60 Actually Does
The EHS60 is not a Bluetooth dongle. It doesn’t turn a wired headset into a wireless one, and it doesn’t replace the base station supplied with a Yealink WH62 or WH63. The wireless part already exists between the headset and its Yealink base. The EHS60 handles the missing link between that base and a supported third-party desk phone.
Once fitted, an incoming desk-phone call can trigger the headset rather than forcing the user to watch the handset display or listen for the phone speaker. The user can answer from the headset and end the call from the headset as well. On supported combinations, Yealink also lists call reject, hold, switching between calls and volume adjustment.
This is useful at reception counters, customer-service desks and admin stations where the user moves around rather than sitting directly beside the handset. Think of a receptionist walking between the front desk and document cabinet in a DMCC office, or an administrator moving around a glass-partitioned floor in DIFC. The headset gives the movement. The EHS60 lets the user keep control of the desk-phone call while moving.
Remote Answer and Hang-Up
The basic reason to buy the EHS60. A supported WH62 or WH63 user can answer an incoming desk-phone call and end it again from the headset controls instead of touching the handset. For reception and help-desk staff handling dozens of calls per shift, this is the function that changes how the desk is used.
Call Control Beyond Answer/End
Yealink also lists reject, hold, switching between calls and volume adjustment on supported phone combinations. Mute needs more care: Yealink currently identifies headset mute control specifically for supported Cisco installations, so we don’t assume the same behaviour on every Avaya, Poly or Grandstream model.
Cable A, B or C — This Is Where Orders Go Wrong
The box includes three connection cables because Cisco, Avaya, Grandstream and Poly desk phones don’t all expose headset control in the same way. The correct cable matters. Plugging in whichever lead fits physically is not a good installation method.
| Cable | Phone Brand | Practical Use |
|---|---|---|
| Cable A | Avaya / Grandstream | Used on supported Avaya and Grandstream desk-phone installations. |
| Cable B | Cisco | Used on supported Cisco desk phones; current Yealink material also identifies Cisco for headset mute control. |
| Cable C | Poly | Used as part of the supported Poly connection arrangement. |
The important word is supported. A phone having a Cisco, Avaya, Poly or Grandstream badge doesn’t automatically mean every model in that manufacturer’s history works with EHS60. Before we quote a Yealink EHS60 UAE order, especially for 10, 20 or 50 desks, we match the exact desk-phone model against the headset system. It avoids opening a carton in Abu Dhabi and discovering the phone generation uses a different interface.
EHS60 or EHS61?
They are easy to confuse because the names differ by one digit. They are not interchangeable purchase decisions.
Current Yealink guidance places the EHS60 with supported Cisco, Poly and Avaya desk-phone installations. Mitel and Unify environments are directed toward the EHS61 instead. Grandstream support is also documented for EHS60. If your office is replacing headsets across mixed desk-phone brands after a merger or floor move, don’t order one adapter type for every desk until the phone inventory is checked.
Check the phone model before ordering
If your desk phone is Mitel or Unify, EHS60 may be the wrong adapter — look at EHS61 compatibility instead. For Cisco, Avaya, Poly or Grandstream, send us the exact phone model number before a project order. Brand name alone isn’t enough to confirm every control function.
Where It Fits in a Dubai Headset Deployment
EHS60 makes most sense where the organisation is keeping its existing desk phones but moving users onto wireless Yealink headsets. That’s common in Dubai because handset estates tend to outlive headset purchases. A company may have 40 Avaya phones that are still doing the job, while staff now need wireless headsets for hybrid calls, reception coverage or quieter conversations around glass partitions.
In that case, you don’t need to replace the whole phone system just to gain remote headset call control. Pair the correct Yealink wireless headset system with the correct adapter at each supported phone. For organisations comparing headset options first, our Yealink headset range in Dubai covers DECT and Bluetooth models for reception, call handling and office use.
The EHS60 also belongs in the wider Yealink accessories range, but unlike a charger or spare cable, compatibility has to be checked before purchase. One desk can be simple. A 60-seat contact centre needs an inventory sheet.

Who Should Buy It — And Who Shouldn’t
Good fit: reception desks, customer-service teams, administrative staff and office users who already have supported Cisco, Avaya, Poly or Grandstream desk phones and want remote call control from a compatible Yealink WH62 or WH63 wireless headset.
Also useful: multi-desk rollouts where the company is keeping its existing PABX handsets but replacing old corded headsets. We can check desk-phone models before supply across Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah and the other UAE emirates.
Not the right fit?
Don’t buy the EHS60 just because you own a Yealink headset. If your calls are handled only through a PC softphone, you may not need an electronic hook switch at all. If the desk phone is Mitel or Unify, check EHS61 instead. If the headset isn’t a supported Yealink wireless system, confirm compatibility before ordering.
Desk Phone and PABX Compatibility — What the EHS60 Does Not Do
The EHS60 doesn’t register to your PABX, SIP server or Etisalat/du telephone service. There is no SIP account inside it. No extension number. No network configuration. It works at the desk-phone level, between the physical handset and the Yealink wireless headset base.
That distinction matters in Dubai offices running Grandstream UCM, Avaya, 3CX or another business phone platform. Your existing desk phone remains registered to the telephone system exactly as it is today. The EHS60 simply allows a supported Yealink headset to send call-control commands to that compatible phone. Your PABX doesn’t need to know the adapter exists.
Example: Grandstream Office Phone
If a supported Grandstream desk phone is already registered to your office PABX, the phone keeps handling the SIP extension. EHS60 connects the supported Yealink wireless headset system to the desk phone so the user can control calls from the headset. No second SIP licence is created by the adapter.
For offices using Etisalat or du business voice services, compatibility still comes down to the desk-phone model connected to that service. Send us the exact handset model before ordering a batch. Especially useful when a DIFC office has inherited several generations of phones across different departments.
What’s in the EHS60 Box
The EHS60 package is small, but Yealink includes the connection options needed for its documented phone families rather than making the cables separate purchases.
| Included | Purpose |
|---|---|
| Yealink EHS60 | Electronic hook switch / headset control adapter |
| Cable A | For supported Avaya and Grandstream installations |
| Cable B | For supported Cisco installations |
| Cable C | Used for supported Poly installations |
| User Guide | Connection reference for installation |
Not included — order separately if needed
The EHS60 box does not include a Yealink wireless headset, WH62 or WH63 base station, desk phone or PABX equipment. It is the adapter only, with the three documented phone connection cables. If you’re building a new workstation rather than adding call control to an existing one, order the headset system separately.
Installation — One Desk Is Easy, Fifty Desks Need Planning
On a single supported desk phone, installation is usually straightforward: identify the phone model, select the correct supplied cable, connect the EHS60 between the phone and headset base, then place a live incoming call and test answer, hang-up and the controls available on that combination.
Check the desk phone — Record the manufacturer and exact model number. Don’t approve a project from the brand name alone.
Match the supplied cable — Cable A, B or C is selected according to the supported phone arrangement rather than whichever connector looks similar.
Test a real call — Confirm ringing at the headset, remote answer and hang-up before rolling the same setup across the remaining desks.
For a 30-seat reception or call-handling floor, we prefer testing one representative handset from each phone model first. Dubai offices get mixed estates surprisingly often — ten newer Cisco phones at one end, twelve older units at the other, then a few Grandstream handsets added during an expansion. One test desk catches that before boxes are opened across the floor.

Related Yealink Products for Desk-Phone Headset Projects
The adapter is normally one part of a workstation rather than the complete order. These are the products and ranges we usually check around it:
Yealink WH62 — a verified wireless headset family used with EHS60 on supported third-party desk phones.
Yealink WH63 — another verified headset system for EHS60 installations where users prefer a lighter single-ear wearing style.
Yealink wireless headsets — useful when the headset hasn’t been selected yet and the desk-phone requirement needs to be checked at the same time.
Yealink EHS40 and headset accessories — alternative connection accessories for other Yealink workstation arrangements.
Yealink BT51 and connectivity accessories — for PC and headset deployments where the requirement is different from desk-phone EHS control.
Yealink IP phones — worth reviewing when old third-party handsets are due for replacement rather than adapting them for another headset cycle.
Yealink Accessories Dubai — spare adapters, dongles and workstation parts for larger office deployments.
Reception, Customer Service and Shared Office Desks
Reception is where EHS60 makes immediate sense. The user answers the company number all day but also moves — greeting visitors, printing access cards, collecting couriers, speaking to someone at the opposite end of the counter. A wireless headset without remote answer still pulls that person back to the handset whenever it rings.
Customer-service desks have a different issue: call volume. A user handling 60 or 80 calls in a shift notices every unnecessary reach for the desk phone. Remote call control keeps the basic actions on the headset. Less desk movement. Cleaner routine.
It also works well in smaller offices where glass partitions make people leave their desk to check documents or speak to colleagues. HVAC noise is a headset problem; answering the call while you’re two metres from the phone is an EHS problem. Different jobs. The EHS60 handles the second one.
Yealink EHS60 UAE Supply — Dubai and Abu Dhabi
Yealink EHS60 UAE supply is available for single workstations and project quantities. We handle headset and adapter deployments across Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, Ajman, Ras Al Khaimah, Fujairah and Umm Al Quwain.
For multi-user installations, send the desk-phone make, exact model, headset model and quantity. That’s enough to catch most compatibility mistakes before dispatch. Useful for Abu Dhabi offices upgrading a reception floor, Dubai contact centres replacing wired headsets, or a DMCC tenant moving an existing phone estate into a new office.
EHS60 Export from Dubai — Africa and MEA Projects
We supply Yealink headset accessories to telecom resellers, PABX installers and IT distributors in Nigeria, Uganda, Ghana, Kenya, Mozambique and Angola. EHS60 quantities can be packed with compatible Yealink headset systems for complete workstation orders rather than shipping adapters separately.
Project quantities are quoted FOB Dubai, with the phone compatibility checked against the information supplied by the reseller before dispatch. That matters on mixed estates where an end customer has several Cisco, Avaya or Grandstream handset generations.
For larger orders, send a phone-model list with the quantity against each model. We’ll use that to separate EHS60 requirements from desks that may need another connection method.

Frequently Asked Questions
Will the EHS60 let me answer a Cisco desk-phone call from my Yealink headset?
Yes, when the Cisco phone model and Yealink headset combination are supported. The EHS60 is designed to pass remote call-control commands between the desk phone and compatible Yealink wireless headset system. Yealink also identifies headset mute control specifically for supported Cisco installations. Send us the Cisco model number before ordering if you want every control checked.
Does the EHS60 work with every Avaya, Poly or Grandstream phone?
Don’t assume that from the brand alone. Yealink documents EHS60 support across these phone families, but compatibility should be checked against the exact desk-phone model. This is especially important for older handset generations and multi-desk rollouts.
Do I need EHS60 if all my calls are on Microsoft Teams from a PC?
Usually not for the PC call itself. EHS60 is for controlling a supported physical third-party desk phone from a compatible Yealink wireless headset. If the user only calls through a computer and doesn’t use a desk phone, the workstation may need a different headset connection rather than an electronic hook switch.
Will EHS60 work with our Etisalat or du office telephone system?
The adapter doesn’t connect directly to Etisalat or du. Your desk phone remains connected to your existing telephone or PABX service, and the EHS60 links that supported desk phone to the Yealink headset system. Send us the phone model rather than the telecom provider name when checking compatibility.
Can you check EHS60 compatibility before installing 20 or 50 desks?
Yes. For project quantities, provide the manufacturer and exact model of each desk-phone type plus the Yealink headset model. We recommend testing one representative desk from each phone model before rolling the same setup across an entire Dubai or Abu Dhabi office.
Is the Yealink EHS60 in stock in Dubai?
