Yealink ZVC640 III Gen Dubai

Yealink ZVC640 Dubai

A long meeting table, eight people in the room, and the person sitting furthest from the display looks like a blur on the Zoom call. Add glass walls, constant HVAC noise and a screen mounted five metres away, and a basic video bar starts showing its limits.

The Yealink ZVC640 III Gen is built for that kind of room. This current-generation Zoom Rooms system combines the MCore Pro room PC, MTouch E2 touch controller and Yealink UVC84 4K PTZ camera. The UVC84 gives you 12× optical zoom, making it far more useful for rectangular meeting rooms where people at the end of the table still need a clear camera view.

Audio can be planned around the room instead of forcing every installation into one fixed microphone layout. Depending on the table length and seating position, the ZVC640 platform can work with Yealink options including VCM35 wired microphones, VCM36-W wireless microphones, CPW65 wireless microphones and separate room speakers.

For a DMCC boardroom with glass partitions, a DIFC conference room with a long table, or an Abu Dhabi office moving from laptop-based Zoom calls to a dedicated room, the ZVC640 gives staff a touch-controlled Zoom Rooms setup without rebuilding the room around a single video bar.

Yealink ZVC640 UAE supply and installation is available across Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah and all 7 UAE emirates. Current III-generation configuration only — not the older CP960-based ZVC640 kit.

Description

Yealink ZVC640 III Gen Zoom Rooms Kit Dubai

Eight people are sitting around a long conference table in a JLT office. The display is at one end. Two people nearest the screen look fine on Zoom, while the finance director sitting five metres back is reduced to a small face in the room view. Someone reaches for the laptop to zoom the camera manually. Then the meeting starts five minutes late.

That is the kind of room the Yealink ZVC640 III Gen is meant to fix. Instead of building the meeting around a laptop and fixed webcam, the room gets a dedicated Zoom Rooms computer, an 8-inch touch controller and a motorised 4K PTZ camera with 12× optical zoom. The camera can frame a medium or longer meeting space without forcing everyone to sit close to the display. For Yealink ZVC640 UAE projects, the audio layout can then be selected around the actual table rather than accepting one fixed microphone arrangement.

Start With the Room — Is the ZVC640 the Right Size?

The ZVC640 sits in the part of the Yealink video conferencing range where a fixed wide-angle camera starts becoming restrictive. Think rectangular conference rooms, management meeting rooms and boardrooms where participants sit at different distances from the display. The 12× optical zoom on the UVC84 is the important number here. It changes the framing optically rather than depending only on digital cropping.

That makes sense in a DIFC office with a narrow six-metre room, or an Abu Dhabi conference room where the display and camera sit on the short wall. You can frame the table, save camera positions and bring the far end into view without putting a camera in the middle of the table. The UVC84 can pan through ±100° and tilt from +40° down to -90°, giving the installer room to correct for mounting height and table position.

Room Type Typical Layout Fit
Huddle Room 2–4 people close to display Use a smaller all-in-one room system
Standard Meeting Room Short table, people seated close together Possible, but ZVC640 may be more hardware than required
Medium Boardroom Long rectangular table, mixed seating distances ZVC640 sweet spot
Large / Complex Room Very long tables, divisible rooms or multiple camera positions Plan a larger modular room system

Not the right fit?

Don’t buy a ZVC640 just because the model sits higher in the range. A four-seat room with everyone within two metres of the screen doesn’t need a 12× optical PTZ camera. At the other end, a divisible training room or extra-long boardroom may need multiple cameras, ceiling audio or a different system architecture. Send the room dimensions and table layout before the order and we’ll size the system around the actual space.

What “III Gen” Actually Changes

There are older ZVC640 listings still circulating in the market, so the generation matters. The current ZVC640 III-generation platform is built around the MCore Pro room computer, MTouch E2 controller and UVC84 camera. It should not be confused with the older ZVC640 packages that used a CP960 conference phone and an earlier MCore.

For a new installation in Dubai, that distinction is worth checking before comparing quotations. Two boxes can both say “ZVC640” while the equipment inside belongs to different product generations. Our page and quotations refer to the current III-generation configuration. No recycled CP960 bundle presented as new stock.

Current III-Generation Core

MCore Pro handles the Zoom Rooms computing side. MTouch E2 gives users an 8-inch 1280 × 800 touch interface at the table. UVC84 handles room video with a 4K sensor, 12× optical zoom and motorised PTZ movement. The audio layer can be chosen to suit the table and room rather than forcing the room into one microphone layout.

The UVC84 Camera — Why Optical Reach Matters

A wide-angle camera is useful when six people are squeezed into a small room. Put that same approach at the end of a long boardroom and everyone becomes smaller because the camera has to keep the entire room in shot. The UVC84 takes another approach. Its lens provides an 80° diagonal field of view and 12× optical zoom, backed by 3× digital zoom for a total quoted 36× HD zoom range.

Optical zoom is the part we care about in a real installation. The camera changes focal length from 3.9 mm to 46.8 mm, so it can tighten the shot before digital enlargement is involved. A managing director at the far end of a DMCC boardroom can be framed as a person, not a few dozen pixels at the end of a wide room image.

Auto Framing

The UVC84 can automatically adjust the camera view around the people in the room. If six seats are occupied during the morning meeting and only three people remain for the next call, the camera doesn’t have to hold an empty full-table shot. The frame adjusts around the active room occupancy.

Camera Presets

Saved camera positions are useful when the same room has repeatable layouts: full table, presenter position, whiteboard wall. Instead of manually steering the PTZ camera before each call, the room can return to a known position. Particularly useful in training rooms where the presenter isn’t seated at the main table.

Mounting Flexibility

The UVC84 isn’t tied to one mounting position. Depending on the room, it can be installed around the display, on a wall, on the ceiling, on a TV mounting arrangement or on a suitable stand. In rooms with glass partitions behind the display, that flexibility can save an awkward wall fixing and give the camera a cleaner sightline down the table.

Audio Isn’t One-Size-Fits-All on the ZVC640

This is one of the useful differences between a modular room kit and an all-in-one bar. You don’t have to accept microphones located wherever the camera happens to be. The current ZVC640 platform supports several Yealink room-audio choices, including VCM35, VCM36-W, CPW65 and MSpeaker II, with further ceiling-audio options available for planned installations.

Take a glass meeting room in Business Bay. The table seats ten, but the ceiling air-conditioning outlet sits directly over the centre. Dropping a microphone in the wrong place can give the far side plenty of HVAC noise and mediocre speech. A wireless microphone arrangement lets us position audio around the people instead. A fitted room with existing cable routes may suit wired tabletop audio. Different room. Different answer.

This is why we don’t publish one made-up “ZVC640 microphone pickup distance” as though every current III-generation installation has the same microphone. The distance depends on the audio package selected. Compatible microphones and room audio can be sourced through the Yealink accessories range, and we specify that package from the room dimensions and seating plan.

Zoom Rooms at the Table — MTouch E2

The MTouch E2 is the part users actually touch every day. Its 8-inch IPS display runs at 1280 × 800 resolution with a 10-point capacitive touchscreen. The panel sits on an adjustable bracket that can be set between 28° and 50°, so the screen isn’t lying flat on the table under ceiling reflections.

There is also a human motion sensor. In a shared Zoom room, the useful result is simple: staff work from the room controller rather than opening a laptop just to operate the installed system. Meeting controls stay in one known place on the table instead of changing according to whoever brought the laptop that morning.

The ZVC640 is the Zoom Rooms branch of this room-system architecture. If your organisation is standardised on Zoom and wants the meeting room to behave as a dedicated room rather than a permanent laptop dock, that’s the reason to choose the ZVC model. Guest-platform and BYOD requirements need to be planned separately; those are covered in the second half of this description.

For Yealink ZVC640 Dubai installations, we check the screen position, distance to the furthest chair, table width, ceiling height, glass-wall reflections, network point and microphone placement before finalising the room package. A ZVC640 in a six-seat square room shouldn’t be configured the same way as a twelve-seat rectangular room just because both happen to use Zoom.

Supply and installation is available in Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah and all 7 UAE emirates. For multi-room projects, the same ZVC640 core can be kept consistent while the microphone, speaker and room-control accessories are adjusted room by room.

Guest Laptops, BYOD and Wireless Sharing

A dedicated Zoom Room doesn’t mean every visitor will arrive with a Zoom meeting. A consultant may bring a Teams invite. A supplier may use Webex. Another guest walks into your DIFC meeting room with a presentation already open on a Windows laptop. That is where the sharing plan needs to be decided before installation rather than after the first external meeting.

The current 640 room platform sits inside Yealink’s wider presentation and BYOD ecosystem, including the Yealink wireless presentation and BYOD range. WPP30 is one of the supported expansion products for the current 640-class room architecture. It gives a project designer a cleaner option where staff regularly bring laptops to the table and don’t want an HDMI cable dragged across a six-metre boardroom.

Don’t Confuse Sharing With Native Zoom Rooms

The ZVC640 is installed as a dedicated Zoom Rooms system. Wireless presentation accessories add ways to bring content or laptop workflows into the room; they don’t change the native room platform into Microsoft Teams Rooms. We confirm the required guest-meeting workflow before quoting the accessory package.

For mixed-platform offices, tell us how many meetings are actually Zoom and how often external guests bring another platform. A room that runs Zoom for 9 out of 10 internal meetings needs a different accessory plan from a serviced office where the platform changes every hour.

Can the ZVC640 Work With an Office PABX?

Yes, but this needs one important distinction. We don’t treat the ZVC640 as though it were an ordinary Yealink SIP desk phone. Telephone calling is provided through the Zoom Rooms telephony layer, and the route depends on the communication system already used by your company.

Zoom Phone: a Zoom Room can be assigned Zoom Phone service so users can make and receive telephone calls from the room controller. The room can then have its own extension and, where configured, a direct telephone number.

Existing PBX: Zoom Rooms also provides SIP Phone Integration for supported PBX deployments. This is the route to assess if your organisation already has an enterprise PBX and wants telephone functions inside the Zoom Room rather than placing a separate conference phone on the table.

Etisalat by e& / du: the carrier service normally reaches the room through your approved business telephony or PBX arrangement. We check the PBX, SIP service, Zoom licence and required call flow before promising direct dialling from the room.

Planning telephone calls from the room?

Send us the PBX make, whether your lines are from e& or du, and whether the room already has a Zoom Phone licence. We check those 3 points before including telephone calling in the installation scope. A Zoom Rooms video system and a SIP desk phone aren’t the same thing.

What Comes With the III-Generation System?

The current ZVC640 III-generation architecture we are describing is centred on 3 devices: the MCore Pro room computer, MTouch E2 touch controller and UVC84 4K PTZ camera. Those are the parts that define this generation of the 640 platform.

Room audio is selected according to the supplied configuration. Current compatible choices include CPW65 DECT wireless microphones, VCM36-W wireless microphones, VCM35 wired microphones and MSpeaker II. We confirm the exact audio package and regional bundle code on the quotation rather than assuming every ZVC640 box contains the same microphones.

Not automatically included — specify these when required

Meeting-room display or displays, Zoom Rooms subscription, Zoom Phone service, WPP30 wireless presentation pod, additional microphones, additional speakers, room scheduling panel and specialist ceiling-audio hardware are project items unless specifically shown on your quotation. We confirm the complete bill of materials before dispatch.

Installation in Dubai and Abu Dhabi

Putting the UVC84 above a display is only one part of the job. We first check the camera-to-table distance, display height, network point, MTouch E2 position, microphone locations and cable path. In Dubai offices with floor boxes in the wrong place — common after meeting-room furniture gets changed — that survey avoids discovering the problem after the equipment arrives.

1

Room check — Measure the table, camera distance and screen position. Confirm network, power and the planned microphone layout.

2

Room build — Mount the UVC84, install MCore Pro, position MTouch E2, connect the selected microphones and speakers, then configure the Zoom Room account.

3

Live-room test — Test camera framing from the nearest and furthest seats, microphone coverage, speaker level, content sharing and the controller before handover.

Yealink ZVC640 supply and installation covers Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, Ajman, Ras Al Khaimah, Fujairah and Umm Al Quwain. Installation is included with systems supplied for UAE projects. For DIFC, JLT, DMCC and Business Bay offices with several rooms, we can keep the same 640 core across the site while changing the microphone arrangement for each table.

Managing Several Zoom Rooms

One room is easy to check by walking upstairs. Twenty rooms across different UAE offices aren’t. The current Yealink room ecosystem can be managed through Yealink’s device-management tools, giving IT teams a central place to monitor supported equipment rather than waiting for somebody in the boardroom to report that a device is offline.

This matters on multi-room deployments. A Dubai headquarters, Abu Dhabi branch and Sharjah office can follow the same hardware standard while IT keeps the room estate visible from a central management layer. Zoom’s own room administration remains part of the platform side; Yealink management handles the supported Yealink device estate.

What to Put Around the ZVC640

A room system rarely ends with 3 core devices. The useful question is what needs to sit around them. We build the quote according to how people actually use the room rather than loading every accessory onto every order.

1. Yealink ZVC S80 — consider the higher room tier when camera coverage or room complexity moves beyond the normal 640 layout.

2. Yealink SmartVision 60 — useful when the room design calls for a different camera experience rather than a front-of-room UVC84 PTZ layout.

3. Yealink WPP30 — add where staff and visitors regularly need wireless presentation or laptop-based room workflows.

4. Yealink VCM36-W — wireless microphone option where running another table cable isn’t desirable.

5. Yealink VCM35 — wired microphone option for fixed rooms where the table and cable routes won’t move.

6. Yealink RoomPanel — put scheduling outside the room where staff need to see availability before opening the glass door.

7. Yealink MVC room systems — the route to compare when the organisation is standardised on Microsoft Teams Rooms rather than Zoom Rooms.

Where This Setup Makes Sense

Professional-services offices are a good example. The room may have 8 to 12 people discussing spreadsheets on one call, then 4 people presenting to an overseas client an hour later. Fixed camera presets help with repeatable positions. Optical zoom handles the depth of the room. Separate microphones let the audio follow the table rather than the camera.

The same logic applies to management rooms, engineering review rooms, project offices and regional meeting spaces. In a glass-partition JLT office, microphone placement matters because HVAC and open-office sound sit only a few metres away. In an Abu Dhabi executive boardroom, the harder problem may be a long table and a far-end participant who needs a proper close shot. Same ZVC640 core. Different room design.

ZVC640 Export From Dubai — Africa and MEA Projects

Project quantities of the ZVC640 can ship from Dubai for corporate AV teams and system integrators working across Nigeria, Ghana and South Africa. We also handle room-system requirements for Tanzania, Ethiopia and Kenya where the buyer needs the camera, room PC, controller and selected audio packed as one project order.

FOB Dubai quotations can separate the core ZVC640 hardware from optional microphones, speakers, presentation pods and scheduling panels. That makes it easier for an installer to match 5 identical rooms without receiving 5 different accessory combinations.

For larger quantities, send the number of rooms rather than only the number of boxes. A 10-room project may need 10 ZVC640 cores but a different audio bill of materials for each room size.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I know I’m getting the current ZVC640 III Gen and not the old version?

Check the core hardware on the quotation. The III-generation configuration described on this page uses MCore Pro, MTouch E2 and the UVC84 4K PTZ camera. Older ZVC640 listings can refer to a previous architecture built around CP960 and an earlier MCore. We quote the current III-generation configuration for this page.

Is the ZVC640 suitable for our 10-person boardroom?

A 10-person rectangular boardroom is the type of room where the UVC84’s 12× optical zoom can make sense, particularly when the furthest seats are several metres from the display. We still check the actual room dimensions because microphone coverage depends on the audio package selected, not simply the number of chairs.

We’re on Zoom, but clients send Teams meetings. Can the room handle that?

The ZVC640 is installed as a native Zoom Rooms system. Guest meetings and laptop workflows can be planned using Yealink’s supported presentation and BYOD accessories, including WPP30 where suitable. Tell us how frequently staff join non-Zoom meetings and we will specify the sharing setup with the room rather than assuming every visitor uses Zoom.

Can the meeting room make normal telephone calls through e& or du?

Telephone calling is possible when the Zoom Room is configured with the appropriate telephony service. Options include Zoom Phone and supported SIP Phone Integration with an existing PBX. For an e& or du office connection, we first check the carrier service, existing PBX and Zoom licensing before confirming the call path.

Do you install the ZVC640 in Abu Dhabi as well as Dubai?

Yes. Yealink ZVC640 supply and installation covers all 7 UAE emirates: Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, Ajman, Ras Al Khaimah, Fujairah and Umm Al Quwain. The installation includes room positioning, cabling, Zoom Room configuration and a live-room test before handover.

Is the Yealink ZVC640 III Gen in stock in Dubai?
